Very Satisfied with the hotel except for the early morning calls wanting to know if I would like to take a 1 1/2 hour tour of the hotel . This was also asked when I first checked in but once I stated I would think about it they backed off. You also have to pay for everything else throughout the resort where I think some things should of been included ex: tubes for their lazy river and a blow yp water slide for the kids.

The room was spacious and clean. It was a little strange that the bedroom was next to the hallway which made it so you could hear kids running in the hall or the cleaning crew going door to door. This probably wouldn’t have been an issue except my fiancé got a migraine and we decided to stay in the room for part of the day instead of going out. They were remodeling the rooms on a connecting hallway. I never heard them but they had a lot of furniture in the hall and plastic on the ground from the painters. There is so much to do at this resort. There was a live DJ at the pool closest to our room, a lake with boats and jetskis you can rent, miniature and regular golf an arcade. Luckily I read about the time share offer before I went so I turned down the “free breakfast”. While checking in the lady tried many times to get me to go. She was at least straight forward and told me it would take 2-3 hours. If you want to listen to a 2-3 hour sales pitch for a glass of juice or coffee and a couple doughnuts or muffins that’s your choice, personally I’m glad I knew to skip it. The staff was friendly and the lazy river was very relaxing. I should also point out the shops and amenities don’t take cash. Its either charged to your room or put on a credit card. Not really an issue for me but thought I should point it out.

Room was great. All the amenities for a family and plenty of room. Resort had everything you could want and employees were very friendly and helpful. A great place for a family. The kids had a ball at the sunset party and we did too. Only negative was that when we checked in they herded us to a desk where the agent sold us on a free "tour" of the facilities so that we would tell our friends and come back again. For taking the tour we would receive $100 rebate. Tour turned out to be a time share promotion and the sales people were not OL employees. They were contract sales professionals wearing cheap suits and brief cases. We had to wait almost an hour before anyone even came to greet us. Our sales person/tour guide was particularly unfriendly and made us feel very uncomfortable to the tune of why am I wasting my time with you. This was all before we even went on any tour. We declined the "tour" and let them keep their $100. We enjoyed the rest of our stay very much.

There were lots of changes and improvements. It was much nicer! The facility and amenities were great as well (swimming, golfing, dining, etc). We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The villa was very spacious, with a reasonable price.

The hotel location is very convenient with a special road that connects and is close to parks, although there is $1.00 toll charge each way. One thing to be aware of is that they put a $250 hold on a credit card and charge a $15 resort fee per night upon check-in. Overall we didn't have any complaints and would recommend this hotel.

We stayed in the "villas" which was a little more expensive than the hotel. They were very nice rooms, very clean. There are no staff services here and you are responsible for your own trash removal and cleaning, unless you pay an extra fee. We were not given the option of choosing what area or unit we stayed in and ended up way in the back of the complex. This is a very large complex, although beautiful, you must drive to get to any of the activities or pools. The resort does offer shuttle services, but the closest stop to us was about 3/4 mile from our unit. We also found the staff to be a bit unpleasant. The staff members do not seem happy to work for this company and are unwilling to take any initiative or follow up with the guests. A few other guests I spoke to also agreed. We also agreed to the “Timeshare Tour” (we had done these before), but this process was torture, uncomfortable altogether. The staff does not give you a tour of the property until you agree to buy a timeshare. By the end of the week we were ready to get home and relax.

I had a little issue with two roaches in the bathroom, a whasp nest on the porch, and being locked out of our room a day early. They made the mistake of thinking we were suppose to check out and we were locked out of our room and had to wait on security to let us in and wait at the office to reissue new card keys. Other an these issues, the resort is beautiful.

When I booked my reservation for Orange Lake Resort, I saw the pictures and I was so excited about making reservations there for our family vacation. HOWEVER, the pictures are deceitful because it only shows ONE village and all the condos there are booked all year long. We had to take a shuttle to that part of the resort and by the time we got there to float the lazy river, they were closing the usages of intertubes at 7pm. The staff was very rude!!! All they wanted us to do was become a time share owner and we aren't interested in that at this time of our lives. We went on the "60 minute" tour and it ended up taking 4 hours - NO LIE! They sent 4 people to try and convince us that we should become a timeshare owner. When they finally got the message that we weren't interested, they literally booted us to the curb and made us feel like low class people. I WILL NOT go back to this place and believe me, we had 3 other families with us on vacation that are saying the same thing. Orange Lake resort is a joke! Pictures are very deceiving! Heck, they wouldn't even refresh my towels or clean my room everyday in the clubhouse. I had to do my own wash. That's sad! It's called vacation! I'll go back to Orlando but not Orange Lake resort!

This was a beautiful Hotel. We were in a older North Village, but the room was still beautiful and very clean. Here are a couple of things to now. We checked in an Saturday which is probably the busiest and we had to wait an hour. But I also noticed that there were long check in lines every time I went through the lobby. They offer a time share tour at checkin but after that no timeshare pressure. Many of the rooms in North Village are not within walking distance of any of the pools. So I recommend paying the extra money for a pool side room. River Island is nice. But two issues. The tube rental is $8 per day. I think you can bring your own tube and the Publix just outside the gate has a nice selection. You must be 48 inches to use the slides at River Island. Most other places are 42 inches and my 5 year old was very disappointed.

Overall, it's a great hotel. Just a couple complaints: 1. The hotel hallway to get to the rooms stinks. Not sure why...the lobby smells good and the rooms didn't stink but the hallway had a disgusting smell to it. 2. The "dryers"(if that's what they'd like to call them) in the laundry room don't dry. I had my clothes in the dryer for 2.5 hours and they still weren't dry. Others in the building were telling me that they had the same problem. I jokingly said that my hairdryer would dry them fast, but surprisingly, that was actually the truth! 3. It would've been nice if they would've told me ahead of time that I could've gotten my theme park tickets at a discounted price through them by going on a tour of the resort and listing to a spill about the resort. Aside from that the hotel was great. Very comfortable for our 5 night stay. Very clean. The pools were beautiful and at a very comfortable temp. My daughter loved the "zero-entry" type pools so she could gradually get deeper at her rate, and she loved the fountains in the pools which I thought were very cool as well! I would suggest checking-in during the week instead of on a weekend...big difference in wait time and crowd volume! All in all I would definetly spend another week there!
