I believe the hotel could be better maintained. The tray containing the cups and ice bucket had mold growing on it indicating it was never washed. The ice bucket has no liner. The bathroom had a funky smell for 2 days until I personally borrowed a spray from housing staff and sprayed it myself. The napkin container had 2 sheets and they were never replaced […] after use. this hotel is absolutely garbage.the beds are very uncomfortable,it was very noisy at night-the walls are paper thin,the continental breakfast was anything but-something that looked like doughnuts,and something they were calling bagels with cream-only the cream was butter!i stayed 4 days and 4 nights and they only changed sheets once....i had to ask […] for towels twice because they failed to put them in bathroom.management barely speaks any english,they claim free hbo-only problem it was in spanish!the only good thing about this hotel was subway was across street.all in all i do not recommend this place at all.next time i will pay more for a better hotel! I knew what I was getting into when I agreed to stay in Bushwick for my Spring Break in Brooklyn, but the people have a right to know what will be included when they stay in the Red Carpet Inn. Located in the heart of Brooklyn's creepiest neighborhoods, the hotel is well-situated between the Wyckoff-Halsey Street Subway Station, making it an easy trip […] to Manhattan via the L Train. When I first walked in, I was immediately hit with the strong stench of marijuana and crack, as if someone hot boxed every floor of this establishment, but primarily the elevator. Our room smelled soaked with human urine, and yet the smell of urine was not in the sheets or bedding--but in the walls, which is perhaps the most perplexing. Deep rust colored stains marked the curtains and lampshades and most resembled the color of blood. I can only assume someone was shot in the room and the clean-up was very basic. The bathroom was very nice. It was almost like the bathroom was from a different hotel. It had genuine marble countertops, a luxury shower, and other fine furnishings. I was tempted to sleep in the bath tub, primarily because the beds are rubberized to prevent pests, which made sleep difficult. To ease our discomfort, we requested additional pillows, but our request was denied. No additional pillows are kept in the hotel. Honestly, I recommend spending a little more to get a better hotel. The hotel room was very clean. I wish there was a closet to hang clothing. for nyc, the room was a decent size. could have given more cups. the management was very nice. although there was a bullet proff glass window at the check-in desk, i did not feel unsafe. free breakfast consisted of coffee, donuts and pre cream cheesed bagels with no toaster. […] there was a fridge downstairs to make up for none in the room i guess. but they did leave the food out past the posted time of 9:30 am. parking lot was tight, but at least there was one. tv channels limited. the best part of this hotel was the location. there is a subway stop right outside for easy access to manhattan and the rest of the city. also there is a chinese restauarant across the street called hong kong, they deliver promptly and give good portions for a very low price. there is also a cute little breakfast and lunch place that opens at 5 am, perfect for post party munchies before retiring to your room. if you dont like that stuff there is a gas station across the street with a 24 hour dunkin donuts. i would definately come back here for the location and price, as well as understanding staff. sure its a little bit on the basic side, but to go sightseeing in nyc, why not save money on a room and parking and use the subway? we were really not expecting much and maybe therefore we were positively surprised. rooms, bath and beds ok quality and sizes. we came from a sheraton in the baltimore area and the difference wasn't that big. we had all we needed. very nice with wifi and coffee, bagles and donut for breakfast included. all in all good value for the money.

First, the SUNY faculty ID card was not enough--would you let someone you don't know copy your passport even after the room was prepaid? I had to pick up my daughter from the airport late in the evening and needed a reasonably priced hotel close by for a little sleep before heading back to Delaware. We had 1 room on the basement level and 1 on the 3rd floor. They told us in broken English that they would put us on the same floor on the 2nd night but they didn't. The subway is across the street and yes you can hear it all night long. The walls are apparently thin... if you get my drift, we could hear our neighbors during the night.. Very good location for price. Subway is a few steps away only. Staff is very friendly. Matress on bed is strange and sheets are overused. Sink clogged. It is great that breakfast is included in price, bagel, coffee/tea - makes you happy.
