"2 bedroom suite (pricey parking/pet fee)"
Stayed in 2 bedroom suite - pretty spacious and nice kitchen (fully stocked with plates, silverware, etc.). Living room only sits 3 comfortably (unless people sit at dinner table which sits 4). $45 daily valet parking fee (not really any other options for parking) and $100 pet fee which are definitely on the high end.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, but ....."
Room was very spacious and large. but, noise from hallway easily came in through door, heard several people coming in after 2 am and having noisy conversations. Also had a problem with refrigerator in our suite unit; starting making loud noises (from fan in freezer) in middle of night; had to unplug it to be able to sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Couldn't Have Asked For More"
An incredible gem in the heart of an underrated city. I was here for business, but would come back if I ever decide to visit for leisure. The hotel's in a fantastic location, provides great service, and all for a very reasonable price. Breakfast is included and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, there are nightly socials with free food and refreshments. Wifi […] is free. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice overnight stay"
The hotel could not be in a much better location and the price/value is good. Rooms are spacious and comfortable except the sofa bed, which was not in a very good shape for two pre-teenage kids to sleep inGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable, clean, close to the convention center"
We were there for a conference at the downtown Toronto convention center. It was a short 5-minute walk. The room was very clean and well maintained. And you should not pass the breakfast buffet. It had a full line from milk and cereal to bacon, sausage and eggs, to fresh fruits.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for TIFF"
Went with friends for the Toronto Film Festival. beautiful room. easy walk to Roy Thompson Hall /TIFF Bell Lightbox/ Princess of Wales theater. We asked for a last minute rollaway when we checked in, it was at our room in minutes. Full-sized refridgerator was great for doggie bags. Reception staff was helpful and friendly. nice breakfast selection ran […] until 11am (at least on Sunday, perfect as we returned to our room at 3am Saturday night) and FREE WI-FI!! Great hotel and perfect location for attending the Toronto Film Festival. We were one block from all the restaurants on King Street. Perfect for us. The room was great and the beds are comfortable. We didn't spend much time inside but we'd defiantly stay there again next year.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"For baseball fans"
We were very impressed with the hotel staff and rooms, they were phenomenal compared to Rogers Renaissance. For any future baseball games or any other business in Toronto we will stay at the Residence Inn. Outshines Rogers Stadium hotel by far.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in a convenient location close to the Rogers Centre, CNN tower, Ripley's Aquarium, Harbourfront, etc. Breakfast is plentiful. Only wish there would be more seating available during morning rush hour.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Debacle in Toronto"
Room not ready Reclining chair broken into recline position(never fixed) Remote for TV, did not work, fixed Mattress for pull out bed, torn, springs exposed, replaced. Reservation included manager's reception, never happened - cancelledGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Residence Inn Toronto Downtown / Entertainment District Dear Guest, I apologize for the inconveniences experienced. If we were to know more information about the reservation we would be able to assist with resolving these issues. None of our evening Socials were cancelled in the month of August and were we to know more details we could understand the situation. Thank you for staying with us and we hope we can redeem ourselves on your next visit.
"Convenient Toronto location"
We've stayed here twice and really like the location of this hotel. Most sights are within walking distance. The buffet breakfast is more than adequate. The rooms were well appointed and kept clean. One downside is the location of the lobby/check-in. The check-in desk runs along the main entrance hallway so there is often congestion when entering or […] leaving the hotel or when lining up for breakfast. The front desk employees seem overwhelmed and sometimes distracted as well. Good for families. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, shame about the breakfast!"
Great location, friendly valets. Overall nice hotel and clean room, but sofa-bed was broken which we didnt find out until coming back very late at night...daughter ended up sleeping on floor. Also no sheets/pillows provided for sofabed.Breakfast was disorganized chaos...huge line for a table, no bowls, food not coming out fast enough, green inedible […] bananas, tables not cleared, inedible pancakes. We ended up grabbing a few things and taking to the room, but wouldn't bank on a free breakfast if the hotel is busy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"beautiful room, blah breakfast"
We stayed there to attend a Blue Jays game and to go to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Very close to Rogers Center. Our room was amazing. Upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite. However, the breakfast was too crowded and they ran out of coffee?!?! The parking fee was excessive $47. You can park right down the street for $8.00. "The room was lovely!"
I can not say a bad thing about the room or location. We were in the heart of the theater district, could see the CN tower from our room and were walkable to many things (or at least to the subway stop!!) There were a few things that didn't pan out for us...the parking was full. Since check in is late (4pm) we went to Medieval Times first and checked […] in around 6:30. Since it was full we ended up parking in a covered garage right behind the hotel. It actually worked out to our benefit. The hotel charges more per day. We didn't need in and out. I chose this hotel specifically for the included breakfast. When we came down on Monday at 8:30 there was a line. Not enough seats for that sized hotel (I usually think people who post things like this are silly, but I looked at many otels in the same price range and chose it FOR this.) Also, there is only a "happy hour" on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Another reason I specifically chose the hotel. Great room, great location, the other things would have been a bonus! "Great family hotel in the Entertainment District"
The hotel has so many positives, the nice and helpful staff, free hot breakfast, newspaper, laundry facilities, location to so many sights such as the CN tower, Rogers Center, harbourfront, theaters, walking distance to Chinatown, the Pathway, Union Station. The room had a very nice kitchen setup with full size refrigerator, cooktop, dining table , […] utensils for cooking & eating and plates and cups, as if you were at home. There was even a dishwasher! The conveniences made my trip so effortless, such as the staff helping with tour bookings or ordering a car to the airport. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Room was fine, service was good, elevators were absolutely horrible. 5 sometimes 10 minutes to get one. Breakfast room is way too small for amount of guests. They could clean the hallways too!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Residence Inn Toronto Downtown / Entertainment District Dear David, during the busiest season of the year we understand the frustration of having to wait for elevators and breakfast. Any hotel located in the downtown area during this time is working diligently to ensure smooth operations with the additional demand due to the leisure travellers. We apologize for any inconvenience and do appreciate your comments, which we use to improve on the services we provide. Our team wants nothing more than to have our guests leave satisfied. Thank you for having stayed with us.
"Great hotel close to many attractions!"
The staff was excellent! Our view from the 15th floor was of a large power grid, but the room itself was nice for a family of four. The only suggestion for improvement would be with the telephones. "Would stay here again"
Great staff! I really enjoyed the free Hot breakfast every single morning. The room was so clean and neat and even the cleaning staff were pleasant to be around and always said Good Morning in passing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a very pleasant stay. Staff was nice, great room and location was great. For me the hotel had only a few cons. The hotel has many rooms and it was pretty busy but the breakfast area is too small to accommodate all. I have stayed in many other smaller residence inn hotels that have the same size eating area and for one this size they should have […] a bigger one. We were not able to have breakfast there for our three day stay due to the long lines we found each morning of people trying to get in. Another thing is valet parking is 47 dollars! A bit high. Save your money there is a parking garage just around the corner where we payed half that amount. Outside from that the room was great and there are many restaurants around. Response by Residence Inn Toronto Downtown / Entertainment District Thank you for your feedback Chris. As one of the busiest Residence Inn's in North America we understand the limitations with the breakfast area. As a Marriott standard we provide breakfast to go for all of our guests who are able to take the breakfast up to their rooms as well. Usually guests come down during the same busy time, 8am-10am, and we recommend to come either before or after in order to have easier access to seating. Our valet prices are in line with all other major hotel valet prices and we do recommend the lots in the area to all of our guests. Thank you for having stayed with us!

Awesome breakfast was included. Close to cn tower and aquarium. Pull put couch certainly could have been better. Be sure to self park in the lot that can be seen from the valet drop off, saved a ton.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great 31st Anniversary in Toronto!"
From the moment we arrived, Adem the valet attendant was very informative and helpful, Jane at the front desk was very friendly, pleasant and attentive to the fact that it was our 31st anniversary to Micheala also at the front desk who was extremely helpful by making reservations for us to dinner and providing us with directions. All made our short […] weekend get-away to Toronto for our anniversary a great time! The accommodations were very nice, housekeeping did a great job and we were walking distance from most of the venues for the Jazz festival. Last but not least the Karen the GM to the time to talk with my wife and I and also gave us some suggestions where to eat and where to go. Karen, was even nice enough to provide us with a little 31st anniversary surprise. My line of work is customer service and if not for the above employees, this would probably be an average hotel but instead we think it was an absolutely great hotel! "Close to good food"
Comfortable suite and excellent breakfast every day. The staff were pleasant and helpful connecting us with our needs quickly and efficiently. My one complaint (and it WAS frustrating) is that the computers and printer provided for guest use were ancient (Windows XP) and slow and placed in a tiny room not suitable for two users.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Residence Inn Toronto Downtown / Entertainment District Dear Karl, thank you for your positive comments and feedback. We are already in the process of ordering new computers for the business centre and hope to have them installed in no time. We hope to have you back with us soon.

"Check your receipt for overcharges"
Very unfriendly staff. Check your changes because they lied to me about the price for parking. Expedia says is is 40 dollars a day, their valet ticket specifies is 40 dollars a day, but they will charge 47 dollars and then tell you that both their valet tix and expedia are wrong. The worst part is when I question the charges I was basically called a […] lier and it was not corrected fir customer satisfaction. "Excellent access to the theater district"
I travel a lot with work and stay in hotels frequently (>100 nights per year). Sometimes I find rooms at discount rates and when that happens I find more often than not I am treated like "second class." Not in this case....the hotel staff was excellent and accommodating from the valets at the front door to the front desk personnel. The room was spotless. […] We were within 1 block of the theater district (our primary target) and plenty of good restaurants. The breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent as well. "Close to the CN tower and the lake, and subway"
We stayed 2 nights. It is a very nice hotel. We got the suit for a family of 4 people. It was perfect because we could use a kitchen equipped with a full size fridge, stove and even dishwasher including dishes, glasses and silverwear. Contemporary decorated(which we liked), spacious room. The only thing we didn't like it was too hot at night and for […] some reason when we set the furnice for 65F it kept blowing warm air. Lukely we could open the window. We chose a room with a king size bed and it was not enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids to sleep on. But there was a lounge couch available we could use. Breakfast was included and had lots of varieties. We also had a social hour every evening which was delicious one day but fair the next one. Kids enjoyed the pool, good size and clean. There was a shower for men and women right in the pool area, very convinient. We would recommend this hotel and would be glad to stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
