he Floris Hotel turned out to be a very good value as compared to others in and around main sightseeing part of Brugge. The staff were friendly and helpful. Be sure to call to reserve parking as the website did not specify that requirement. We parked on the street and, due to some misinformation, received a 30 euro ticket. The beds are comfortable, but are actually two twins pushed together instead of the double we expected. The rooms are larger than I'm accustomed to in Europe. Breakfast is hot and provided a good start to our three days. One of the outstanding qualities is the provisions for families travelling with children. They provided a crib for my granddaughter on request. There is also a large play area just off of the lobby that allowed us to watch my grandson play while we enjoyed breakfast. It is a short 10 minute walk to the market area with a stroller and a walking 3 year old. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and recommend The Floris as a very comfortable stay and a good value.

Great, clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Adjacent to the train station and easy walk to downtown Brugge. We walk most places, so it is nice to drop the bags off and then walk a bit farther for the sites. Parking is inexpensive. The shower wall is frosted glass, so fine for couples, but could be uncomfortable for shy types. The only issues we had were with the window (doesn't open very far and the room was warm) and when the water hits the shower door, it gets on to the floor, so we had water all over the floor. The water temp of the shower was not consistent, but not so bad that it was too uncomfortable.

This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. The location is about a two minute walk from the main square and all the shops and restaurents. The breakfast is a really great addition to the room as well. The only con is that the wifi only works on the first floor. We would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was amazingly located, right on one of the main canals of Ghent. The rooms were large and lovely, very clean and modern. The lobby appeared comfortable although we didn't spend much time there. The receptionists were very helpful and pleasant, recommending and booking very good restaurants for dinner. One point- we would have been happier […] with a more reasonable rate for breakfast. Highly recommended hotel. We will definitely return to it on our next visit to lovely Ghent. Read more

A good business hotel, in a fantastic location. We were, however, on a holiday and it lacked a little in terms of comfort and charm. I expected this on booking so wasn't disappointed. A couple of niggles made me mark it down; only one dressing gown between two of us, 23 euro for breakfast (we didn't partake) and bottled water was 3 Euro. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and in every aspect it was a great place to stay . The only problem we had was that when we booked through hotels . Com as it was a special occasion we had asked if it might be possible to have a special room and were told after the hotel was contacted that if they could it would be dealt with on arrival. […] The hotel however appeared initially unaware of this then found mention in small print but said was not possible to do ( not necessarily because room not avail but generally ) . Were apologetic .Not sure who was at fault here the hotel or hotels.com ! When booking the agent was very helpful and seemed to go out of his way to make arrangements. Read more

Lovely hotel great location room very clean and very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We cannot comment on breakfast as we ate outside the hotel there are many cafes that open for breakfast at a very reasonable cost. Ghent is a lovely place to visit .

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and it is impeccable. The staff are friendly and accommodating - their English is very good (which is great for those of us who don't speak the local language). We didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on the food (we were staying with family, so shared meals with them). I look forward to our next trip.

Excellent, popular hotel in the centre of Ghent, combining the old with the new. Very good breakfast included in the room rate. Parking in Ghent is difficult and I do believe that the charges made by the hotel for 24 hour parking is pricey for hotel guests.
