"hotel 1er classe zac murigny"

"A perfectly adequate pit-stop"

It's hard to write a glowing review of a Premiere Classe hotel as they really don't try to market themselves as a glamorous holiday destination and admit that they're a convenient place to take a break from a long journey without breaking the bank. We travelled from the UK to the Alps and Italy, and broke up the long motorway stretches with one night pit-stops at Premiere Classe hotels and they did exactly what we wanted them to, we had comfortable enough beds, plenty of sockets to charge phones and devices and a reasonable breakfast. There were chain style restaurants nearby for an economical evening meal and a tv in the room for the children to fall asleep to. No channels in English but you can't really expect that on the continent and the kids soon get used to watching a film in French and guessing the outcomes! No real complaints, and no fireworks either, just a reasonable place to sleep en route to somewhere nicer.
"Value for money"

We arrived late so did not meet any staff, or use the restaurant opposite. Judging by the reviews, this was probably a good thing on both counts. But our rooms were very clean and well presented and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet. The wifi worked. There were sufficient towels. All in all, a very pleasant stay and an excellent value for money way to break the journey from the Alps to Calais.
"Budget hotel let down by poor staff!!!"
07/14/14 Wils673 Modena, Italy
The room was tiny but clean and it was quite noisy but as it was a stop over that is not the end of the world, you would never class this as a hotel for holidaying. However, what really lets the chaain down is rude and unhelpful reception staff. The restaurant Hippopotamus on site was awful with the rudest waiters of all time. It is such a shame that France can not come close to Italy and its neighbouring countries for providing customer service. Premeire Class needs to give staff much more training in terms of service.
"Good overnight stop."

Cheap, clean and comfortable for an overnight stop on the way to the Alps. More importantly, access was no problem out of reception hours. The same cannot be said for other chains. Will definitely stay again.

On the night we stayed, the hotel was host to a party of 2 coachloads of schoolchildren who ran around very noisily until midnight and then again from 6.00 am. However, the hotel was clean and tidy with all the facilities you would expect at a very good price, with a good restaurant next door for our evening meal. Breakfast was was adequate and excellent value. Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
"Good value overnight stop"

To the uninitiated your room will seem very small but it will be clean, quiet and have plenty of hot water. My back was aching after a long drive but the large bed was firm and comfortable. The basic breakfast was good value but don't be tempted to eat at the adjacent Hippopotamus restaurant which was appauling (see my review). The hotel has an efficient on-line check in facility which you can use to gain access to your room after 9pm using the supplied code number. The hotel is easy to find, being just off the motorway

If you want absolute rock bottom prices and dont mind staying in a small cabin style room with tiny bathroom in corner this is ok. You need to be able to sleep with traffic noise as its on a roundabout. If all this is OK, then stay there and the money you save go into Reims and buy Champagne.
"Room 33 too noisy for an overnight stop with children"
04/08/14 DK1bunny London
Having been to a few of this chain, we knew what we were signing up for in terms of room size and the little 'wetroom' shower room. However, unlike others it was almost impossible to get a decent sleep due to noise and for an overnight stop on a long drive down to the slopes this was particularly annoying. The room doors face onto quite a busy road so there was a lot of ambient traffic noise throughout the night, but most annoying was the issue with the plumbing in the room. The water siphoned loudly and near constantly, stopping occasionally for five minutes or so and then starting again. By loudly I mean the volume of someone flushing a toilet constantly, over and over again! Complaining got me a shrug of the shoulders from the staff, no apologies, nothing. We had the little breakfast [as I really needed the coffee] which was fine. I will not be putting this hotel on my 'to-return' list.
"Perfect for a one night, basic, stopover"
04/07/14 DTskier London, United Kingdom
We booked 2 rooms for the 4 of us, resting on a long drive from the Alps. A great location 5 minutes from the main Autoroute (bypass) passing to the south of Reims. Very clean, clinical rooms, with a fantastic massive bed, and a single bunk bed above the big bed, a good TV with some non-French news channels. You check in with a machine outside which issues electronic room 'keys'. The breakfast (an extra) is a self service affair of unlimited toast, jams and so, with a friendly french lady running this in a compact clean dining room on the ground floor. We would definitely stay again and recommend this motel.
"Clean and convenient"
01/04/14 Jackie C Alvechurch, United Kingdom
We arrived after 1700 when it should have been staffed but she was out making up rooms I think, auto check in worked up to the point it didn't spit out a key card! So had to wait for her to re-appear. She was very sweet though, lending us plates and knives to eat our cheese and pate from the convenient big supermarket, (having read reviews about the cost of the restaurant next door) It was clean, and quiet despite being just off the motorway, just what we wanted as a convenient place to stop off on our journey to the Alps. Room was small but comfortable, didn't have the breakfast, and didn't smell of cigarette smoke!
