Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Room was comfortable and clean.Coffee at breakfast was very good. The eggs and sauage not very good. Waffles were tasty. 10 minutes to downtown which worked out very well.

We wanted a fair price at a hotel with a pool, so we booked at Roosevelt Inn & Suites. The Inn is beautiful, located fairly close to the downtown. Saratoga Springs is an interesting, historical area. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were informed that the pool and spa were 'out of order' and they would not be repaired until the following week, after we had left. The front desk clerk rather rudely informed me that we should 'feel free' to leave and look for another hotel with a pool. She stated she had begun to call people to inform them of this problem - obviously I had not been called. She further informed me that the previous owners did not even allow children! It was late, we were tired, so we chose to stay. I was told I 'could speak to the manager' the next day but the clerk doubted my problem could be resolved since I had already received a 'very good rate'! She advised me to contact hotels.com. On the positive side, one of our rooms was upgraded to a really nice Junior suite, with 2 rooms and a jacuzzi. Our other reservation was a fabulous suite, with a soaking tub, stand alone shower and full kitchen. I chose not to speak with the manager. My only other complaint was the bed in the bigger suite - it really needs a new mattress. We will return to Saratoga Springs and will consider staying at Roosevelt Inn again.

There was a hole in the wall where someone had opened the front door too hard. A lot of the electrical wiring will not accept 3 prong plugs.

We were staying there because we were relocating from Colorado and didn't have a house right away. We had to pay full price for 2 1/2 weeks because we had dogs and the rooms they had for extended stay you couldn't have animals. It made it very expensive and we had to use most of our money to stay. It was very nice we could have our animals cause what […] would we have done with them? 2 dogs, 2 birds and an aquarium frog, we appreciated being able to have them. Since we were paying full price I thought we deserved to have cleaning service. The cleaning people didn't arrive till after 5 pm when my husband was off work and we didn't want them at that time. I believe when they knew that they made sure to come at that time. The days they did clean, it was not a job well done. They did a terrible job cleaning. The room was less then clean when we arrived the first day. I cleaned it better while I was there then it had been cleaned in some time. If I would have had supplies with me it would have been in excellent condition. One of the cleaners spent most of her time on her phone and just looking busy. I don't like to complain but my husband and I were agitated over the uncleanliness of the room. We started out in a different room and it was supposed to be a non smoking room so when we asked to move the front desk person reveled it used to be a smoking room!! I have asthma and being around smoke gives me asthma. One good point would be that front desk was happy to move us. Read more

Upon check in the clerk had a very bad cold and should have stayed home. We did not want to touch the keys for the room. When we entered the room there were two double beds instead of the king size bed we had a reservation for. It was raining so we did not call down to the desk. I was stay here when I had to come from lower in the state for a meeting. it was a great location for me meeting but the surrounding neighborhood was not so great. Starting for 1 AM until about 4 AM, it seem like an ambulance or an emergency response team was right outside my room. Response by Travelodge Inn and Suites Latham I would like to thank Jeremy for his very positive review regarding his recent stay at our Travelodge Inn & Suites, Latham Circle. We apologize regarding the disturbance during his stay due to the fire alarm. The alarm going off is not a "daily thing". Currently, the alarm goes off if there is a fire in the area. The owner of our property is working with the Fire Department to determine if there is any other method to alert the Firemen (other than the siren) during the hours of 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Our Owner and I wish to express our appreciation to Jeremy for mentioning that the "Value Was Good". Hopefully, he will give us another opportunity to service his lodging needs. It is our goal to raise our rating to four or five stars.

Response by Travelodge Inn and Suites Latham Please extend our apologies to the guest. If we had known there was a "Cigarette Smoke" issue, we would have been glad to move the guest to another room. We have instructed our General Manager and Head Housekeeper to inspect all our non-smoking rooms immediately. It is our goal to make certain every guest is comfortable and has a pleasurable stay. We appreciate this issue being brought to our attention so we can take corrective action.

The hotel is a nice hotel. However, it is old and out of date. It was not dirty and house keeping was great. It is in the heart of the Albany area which makes it very helpful when my wife and I come in to town on military leave to see everyone.

Will list problems first. My phone was broken and I couldn't access HBO on my tv. Really not too much of a big deal in the age of smartphones. I wanted to spend a night near Albany enroute to Lake George. Saw some really good reviews and booked a room but surprised to see the hotel room. It was not clean, old furniture, small place. Really wished I had not booked this hotel.

The room was relatively clean but had an oder from cigarettes & we were in a non-smoking room. Many cigarette butts in parking lot showed lack of cleanliness. Bed was hard as a rock!! I would definately NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

The room was smaller than I expected. The beds were extra firm and the pillows thin and hard. The front desk did get us extra pillows when asked, and did so pleasantly. The bathroom could have used more hooks for towels. The wifi worked fine.

The room was the least expensive on hotels dot com; the room was warm, very spacious, and well-furnished. There was plenty of hot water, and the hotel was within short walking distance of a great old-fashioned diner on a traffic circle where roads radiated directly towards anyplace you'd want to go. The only glitch was the room maintenance: lots of […] bad little things that a few hours of maintenance staff's time would fix: loosy goosey shower head; window transome that had obviously come unnailed, bed off-kilter to the frame and tippy (until I fixed it), and, frustratingly, a completely bad blurry small-screen CRT TV that seemed right out of the '90s which staff wouldn't replace for fear of the wrath of management. But: overall a 4-star hotel as far as I'm concerned, unless you're into bling. Read more

Hotel was reasonably priced and in a convenient location for our trip, both going and coming (Vermont). Staff was very cooperative. Room was relatively simple but comfortable -- fine for our purpose. Several choices of places to eat were nearby.
