These folks go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable - CD explanations of the area, library of guide books, maps galore and ready advice. There are so many options in Bar Harbor that it is tempting to look around when planning another stay. I would come back here.

My wife and I are both teachers, so this inn was a bit of a splurge for us. Boy are we glad we did! The inn was beautiful, the room was spectacular, and breakfast was delicious and plentiful! The little "extras" really stood out -- unlimited coffee/sodas/water throughout your stay, 4:00 PM "tea" and snacks each day, a great DVD selection and audio tours […] of Acadia available to borrow, just to list a few. An easy 4-5 block walk to downtown Bar Harbor -- far away enough from the noise of downtown but easy enough to get there and back. An immaculate Inn within close walking distance to Bar Harbor shops and restaurants as well as easy access into the park. I loved the little things, extra outlet plugs in the room, bathrobes, Kindle tablets for newspapers etc, many brochures of area interest and all the up to date Hiking, biking, kayaking guide books! Very nicely appointed hotel. My wife loved the finer points-furnishings, decor, etc. The staff was obviously not at the level of the offered package, with poor customer service skills at best, and unfamiliarity with the entire hotel program. Zugegebenermaßen war das unsere allererste Unterkunft in einem Bed & Breakfast Hotel. Somit können wir nicht beurteilen, ob dies sehr häufig in kleinen Pensionen vorkommt - aber eine so unglaublich tolle Gastlichkeit haben wir noch nie erlebt. Aber der Reihe nach: schon von außen mach das Primrose Inn einen tollen Eindruck, ein wunderschönes und sehr […] gepflegtes Haus mitten in Bar Harbor. Der Ort ist somit wunderbar zu Fuß zu erkunden. Die Anmeldung war dann sensationell: Jeff, der mit seiner Frau Catherin das B&B betreibt, hat uns eine vollständige Einweisung erteilt, hat uns einfach alles ausführlich erklärt und sich richtig Zeit genommen. Dabei sind die kleinen liebevollen Details das, was das Primrose Inn ausmachen, z. B. eine Liste mit persönlichen Restaurant-Empehlungen, auf der auch die Listenpositionen von Tripadvisor ersichtlich sind; dann die vielen Dinge, die den Gästen zur Verfügung gestellt werden: Navigationsgeräte, die mit den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants vorprogrammiert sind; eine umfangreiche Videothek, da jedes Zimmer über einen DVD-Player verfügt; viel Informationsmaterial für den Aufenthalt im Nationalpark (Bücher, Karten, Hörbücher für den PKW). Jedes Zimmer ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber; eine Taschenlampe liegt für Nachtausflüge bereit. Das Frühstück ist üppig und wird frisch zubereitet.
