Do cats enjoy these same rooms? I had a 'not-too-serious' allergic reaction. The room was great for the dog and we had a picnic outside as well. Loved the patio access to the dog park.

Villa Green Hotel is an older hotel with quite dated look. The pool and the gym would need serious renovations. The rooms however are large, clean and very comfortable. Since the hotel is located on a very busy intersection it should have better quality windows installed to separate rooms from the street noise. perfectly located for skiing at Silver Star, could have stayed for several nights if we had not booked accommodation on the mountain. Staff were so helpful and even 'stored' our second car when it could not make it up the hill. Breakfast was excellent and nicely presented. Would definitely stay again. The Village Green Hotel has always been there as long as I can remember (I'm 40 this year), so I was expecting it to be an older hotel and was very, very pleasantly surprised at the condition of it. The lobby was really nice and my room was perfect. I think they are in the process of renovating. The room was also very clean, the bed was very comfortable, […] all around I had a great stay. My only complaint, and this is a very mild one, is that the chambermaid could have done a better job of cleaning up during the 5 nights that I was there. She seemed to just take dirty towels and straighten the bed, no vacuuming, clean sheets, bathtub cleaning, etc. But other than that, I will definitely stay there again, and in fact am planning a trip at Easter. The lobby doesn't give a great first impression, but the room was clean and comfortable. Don't check in for the luxury, but it's certainly an adequate place to stay. We used the pool and hot tub and felt good about it. Service and prices in the cafe were good too. Front desk staff very nice.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. A bit far from Kelowna (40 minutes north to Kelowna) and the southern part of the Okanagan Valley. If you plan to visit the valley, up to Ossoyoss, this hotel is not the better choice, because of its location.

Rooms are basic, but clean. The pool could be a bit cleaner and the restaurant was somewhat disappointing. Acceptable, but not ideal for business travel, nor for romantic getaways. We'd been camping around BC but having issues finding a spot the night we stayed at the Village Green. We had our dog with us so it was imperative we find a dog-friendly place to stay. What we got was a great hotel with a nice pool and garden area AND the mother of all fenced in dog areas! I was stunned. Had to be 20 yards wide by a good 50-50 yards […] long? The room was good for the price--good value. The rooms are not vacuumed very often but the beds are clean and comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant as no one came to take our order or offer us a drink. We waited 10 min and then left. We did find a wonderful restaurant downtown called the "Eclectic Med". Great food, nice wine list.

First night we located into room 723. Significant noise from AIr conditioning unit on roof and strong fuel smell in room. Relocated us the second night but we were told they were not surprised as they had similar complaints in the past for that room. No attempt at recovery.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days my wife and I and are 2 boys (9 and 12) while we had a few days to explore. It was super easy to find and the front desk staff where friendly and helpful. The 27 Street Grill attached to the hotel has excellent variety and the serving sizes are definitely generous. Our room was a bit dated but it was comfortable […] and everything worked and it was clean so no complaints there. I just wish in todays age of technology hotels made the outlets more accesible to plug in chargers and things. The pool was warm and the Hot Tub was hot! The Sauna however was cold when we got there and we turned it on for 20 minutes maybe a bit more and it never got above luke warm and we never even stepped in it cause it just wasn't a sauna. It was a good price and with the location and the ammenities around the hotel we enjoyed our stay. An updated look would be nice but the price reflected what our expecations where for the middle of Summer in the Okanagan area. Read more

The Hotel was great, but the food in the Checkers was not too great. The ribs were dry and the fried potatoes were so dried out from re-heating or something, they were inedible. There was a Young Lacrosse team staying in the Hotel, and it appeared no supervision as the kids were running all over the hotel! I even commented to the Reception, about "Where […] are the Parents". We certainly enjoyed our stay. The staff was great as was the room. We loved being able to be on the ground floor facing the garden. I loved sitting out there and enjoying the fountains and flowers. The restaurant was great and had a wonderful breakfast. We would definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

After having read other reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to book a one night stay at Village Green (Holiday Inn and Prestige were booked up). The hotel is no doubt older and well-used. Don't expect anything fancy. It definitely needs updating but... there were a lot of positives I wasn't expecting. We brought our dog and the extra fee for having a […] pet was very reasonable. We were on the first floor and there was a sliding patio door from our room which opened into a fully fenced area of good size for the pets to roam! This was wonderful! The dog could get out and run around instead of being couped up in the room. There were even picnic tables outside too! At night there was lighting outside so that you could see where your pet was. This is the best area I've encountered at a hotel for pets. You don't have to go searching for a place where they can potty. Our dog even had fun playing with the other dogs. The bed was fine, the linens were fine (no handtowels or facecloths) but we didn't care. There is a small fridge which was handy. Location of the hotel is great. It is on the main strip. The receptionist was very friendly as well. Overall, I would stay here if you are bringing a pet. Read more

Although check in was ok and speedious, the male clerk at the front desk was very unfriendly, quiet and had no smile on his face. The Hotel itself looked like someone poured way too much icing on it as the stucco finish was very dated. We stayed on the 7th floor in one of the newly renovated rooms which was tastefully done but the finish on the balcony […] was old and unpainted rough wood. The bathroom was so small that you couldn't get to the tub without shutting the door to get in there. On one night we had to go to our car because my daughter had forgotten her blankie and when we went to the elevator it didn't work. We had to go back to our room to phone the front desk, they said they were putting in a new floor. So we had to walk down and up the grim staircase 7 floors. Not happy about that. We were not given any notice that this elevator would be unavailable. The hot tub was not hot but the pool was ok. All in all this wasn't that bad a stay for the price but needs some work on the lack of room service, you had to pick up your own food. The trays with plates and such weighed a ton and made for a difficult trip back up to our room. Read more

We arrived a day earlier than expected, and very late at night. The hotel clerk was happy to check us into a room that was available for the duration of our trip. Because it was so late, we were extremely tired and ready to get some rest. The trip up to the room made me second guess booking this hotel- the decor was extremely outdated and I was afraid […] the room would be equally as distasteful. However, when we opened the door, the room was a nice surprise! It was perfectly cooled for the muggy Vernon evening and the beds had been upgraded with new sheets, which were extremely comfortable! We had a balcony that allowed us to sit out in the morning and take in the view of Vernon's mountains. Although it still had a '70s feel to it, I was very impressed with the quality of our stay. The pool was enjoyable and the location was very convenient. It was easy to login to the wireless internet, making the stay that much easier. Our interactions with the front desk was far and few in-between. It seemed they weren't as friendly as I had hoped, but the girl who checked us out was such a pleasure! I would definitely stay at this hotel again- because the location, beds and convenience being as superb as they were, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! Read more

This hotel would have been better if they gave the guests a choice of heat or air conditioner. It was not typical weather for the Okanagan, it was on the cool side and the heat was turned off for the summer. When we entered the room it was ice cold, we turned on the heat and all we got was the air conditioner. We went to the front desk and the gentleman […] on the night shift told us well being the Okanagan and the high heat they get they turn the heat off during the summer........ well I lived 30 years in that city and I know all about the high temperatures that do happen but what about on the days that it is cool, ....... he said sorry live with it.
