Americana Inn and Suites - Pigeon Forge

For the price this hotel had everything we needed. We slept comfortably, showered in hot water, received clean towels and sheets, and had a quiet environment. Overall checkin was simple, checkout was easier, no parking pass mess, no hassle. good time.

My husband and I needed time away from home. We are raising grand kids and just needed some time to ourselves. We have stayed there before and were pleased both stays. This is an older building and is in need of some upgrades. But all in all was a comfortable place to stay. We did enjoy our stay.

I enjoy staying at Howard Johnson in Pigeon Forge. The beds aren't hard as rock like some of them are. It's like sleeping in my bed at home when I go there. Will be staying there again soon/

Had to be moved after 1st night because of standing water in the bathroom. Moved to a new room the next day. Rooms need renovation badly. Never could reach anyone at the desk before 730am. The "free" breakfast was never ready before 730, and there was never enough to feed everyone once the hotel became more full. Always smelled bacon frying, but never […] saw anyone eating any. The waffle iron was broak half way threw breakfast so it was very very slow. The bicuits were hard and the gravy was cold. The toaster broak so we couldnt even have toast!!! We had to change rooms 4 times before we found one without black mold growing in the tub. Also the rooms were dirty and there was no hot water. However, the only positive thing was the staff. They were great, very considerate, apologetic, and understanding.

Location was great...that was it though. Housekeeping walked into our room on 3 differant occasions without knocking or anything. Had requested extra towels and pillows yet never seen them. Staff was no where in sight.

Not sure where to start.. First thing I noticed about our room was, there was NO security lock, it had been ripped off the door. We slept with a chair wedged under the door handle every night for extra "security" We could not get another room because we were told the hotel was full. However I walked around the place a few times and there were several […] rooms that seemed to never be used the entire time we were there ( 4 days ) Next the molding around the around the walls was pulled away from the walls throughout the entire room. I am not sure who designed the bathroom, but I stand 5 foot 2 inches and I was TALLER than the shower head. You had to be a Contortionist in order to take a shower in there. I now know why the shower bar was in the front instead of the side. I had to hold it while doing a back bend to wash my hair. My poor husband stands 6 foot 4 inches. We have used Hotels.com for a number of years and never had a bad hotel until now. We checked in and could not even stay, Room was filthy, shower curtain ripped up. TV did not work. We left the room and checked out. The staff did not ask why. That should tell you something.

The bathroom was filthy! Only got more towels...no more washcloths for our second night's stay. (No extra ones to be had in lobby, either.) Go-Cart track next door stayed open VERY late and was VERY noisy. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The bathroom was dirty and there were half empty shampoo bottles and comnditioner left in the shower. The breakfast area most of the chairs were damaged. if you set on them they would brake.

This hotel is old and not kept up. They had to move us once because the heater in one of our rooms would not work. The heater in one of the new rooms did not work well. Breakfast was worse than most continentals. I will say the people I dealt with at the desk were superb. (especially Shiela) I would not stay here again.

Our room was dirty, the two rooms beside us were never cleaned the whole time we were there. The maid service did not show up until late afternoon. There were dirty rags and trash left on the floor. The sink had cigarette burns on it. Would not stay there again.

Awful ! We had a room next to the pool which the let open until 1am. Drunks were in the pool loudly until 1am. There is also a Go-Cart track on the other side of the pool which ran until 1:30 am. We didn't get much sleep. We will NEVER stay there again !

We arrived at 230 and checkin is at 3 so they let us go ahead and check in and said our room was ready... got to the room and it hadn't been touched by anyone. So we told the lady at front desk and she said she would get someone in there to clean it.... we finally got in our room at 330. The next morning when I got in the shower the water was ice cold! […] When we ask the lady at front desk she informs us that the hotel is 50 yrs old and has never been updated and that there is only one hot water heater per floor so if a lot of people on your floor take a shower at the same time you won't have hot water for a few hours...if they would just get housekeeping on their job and add hot water heaters the hotel would be nice... but unless they make drastic changes I would not stay again or recommend to anyone. The room is very outdated. One of thd beds had blood stains on the sheets. Our shower curtain had mold on it and i told the desk clerks, they said they would take care of it but when we returned they had not. I stayed there for a weekend and from the start service was bad. My room was a prepay room from hotels.com or I'd have walked out. Counter people were very disorganized. As well as I was waiting to check in several other guests were discussing issues with their rooms and the staff then explained to them how to fix it theirselves. So I went down the the counter and politely told the deal clerk and she said she would game. Care of it. We then left for a day on the town.
