Unfortunately the room I was given was in the oldest building, on the very first floor, overlooking the car park and foyer roof. I would strongly recommend paying anything additional, and getting a beach view room, because the beach was STUNNING, the pool, the facilities amazing. Truly a beautiful place. We were a bit disappointed with our room. The room smelled like someone had dogs in there. It smelled awful. The sheets stunk and we had fresh sheets delivered but it turned out to be the quilt. It smelled like a wet dog and it didn't have any quilt cover on it???? The only milk in the tea and coffee facility was a completely frozen small long life […] tetra pack, so again had to call reception. The only soap in the room was one tiny inch square sample soap. This was to be used between 2 adults in the shower as well as to use in the hand wash basin. Disappointed customer. Read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, had done my research before and knew that hotel was a little tired in decor , fittings and that there was beach erosion etc. However the staff were welcoming and friendly and very helpful, enjoyed the pool and beach, great for walking. On the flip side, I found that not having a shelf in the shower was awkward, somewhere […] to dry my towel and togs etc proved I needed to be innovative, two soaps, one for basin and one for shower a minor gliche. Also staying in centre tower ment if going out for day, we had trouble reparking the car, weren't guaranteed a return park and had to use access lane. The room was large - plenty of room for 3 - with a view of not much on the airport side. It was clean enough although I could see where the cleaner had missed or cut corners. There were horrible yellow stains on the blinds and a iron burn on the floor which were unattractive. The pool area was very nice and there is a restaurant near the pool. If you […] go through the pool gates to the back of the property, Marcoola beach is also very pleasant with plenty of soft sand. If you walk through the restaurant, there is a cheaper eating area but it is a gaming area so not a great ambiance. You can not take food from there and eat it near the pool, nor can you avail yourself of the take-away menu at the restaurant unless you take it away from the area. As far as I could tell, the more expensive restaurant was the only place suitable for children. There is a small room with some gym equipment, I think the day spa was closed and the small shop on site had a closing down sale. It was very, very close to the airport, which was convenient and I was not disturbed by the sounds of airplanes. Read more

At arrival , hotel did not have our booking , they gave us 2 to free drinks at there bar whilst they sorted it out and said they would contact us in 15 mins . An hour past by and we went back to the front desk, oops we forgot about you was the reply. 2 more free drinks were given to us. The room was nice the service was terrible out of 7 nights the […] room was serviced 3 times for a hotel that was disappointing . No tea , coffee or milk replaced until we asked for it. We run out of toilet paper and had to ask for it .Sheets never changed in 7 days. Complained about the room not being serviced the answer was, didnt you get the information at arrival that room servicing was not going to be available due to the hoilday period. I mean seriously thats why they charge extra for the holidays. Food was very average at the hotel . It just became a joke really and we named the Hotel Faulty Towers . I think that says it all . The room was clean but that was the only thing positive! Maintenance needs to be done. When You showered the water poured out onto the floor, the windows were filthy you could hardly see out of them. The toilet was old and seat was bubbled, the edging around the mirror was falling apart, the soap rack in the shower was coming off the wall. The lights […] went out on our last night and didn't turn back on until late the next morning we did not so much as get a phone call to explain the situation, the heating wasn't working and last there is only a tiny carpark which was full the first night my pregnant sister had to walk into the hotel from the street in the rain and carrying bags, where was the undercover car park that was written in the hotel's book in the room?. We wanted a hotel that was affordable and conveniently located for visiting Australia Zoo. The rooms were very basic but ideal for us as we were out almost all day anyway. The hotel has a lovely pool and backs onto a gorgeous stretch of the beach, but there is nothing else in the local area and we had to change room twice due to unclean rooms.

Very poor hotel, creaky beds (that wake you every time you turn over) fans that dont work properly in the bathroom, unclean room never once was the shower or bathroom cleaned, had to pay for additional towels to use a disgustingly sweaty gymnasium that also had never been cleaned. Worst hotel i have ever stayed in.

Excellent pool, heated and right on the beach. The beach is also deserted so easy to find seclusion there. It's only a 10 min drive and your in mooloolaba with heaps of eating options. If you surf you should be able to find a little break to your self here

Room was pokey, carpets were old and dirty. Not ever a box of tissues were supplied. Asked for twin beds - and given to believe this would be possible if the hotel was not booked out. As reception we were told this was not available, despite the fact that the hotel was not even half full.
