The hotel was very good. Awesome location to everything in the old city. Plenty of shops and entertainment within walking distance. Will stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ask about their tours.

Clean and spacious rooms, in a wonderful location. Close to tons of restaurants and shops, and in the center of Bucharest night life -- if that's your thing. It wasn't really ours, but we loved the vibrancy of the area, and being able to open the windows to the city streets below. Breakfast in 'cafe klein' (the hotel cafe) was basic, yet set in a lovely […] cafe setting that made it a bit more than the 'hotel breakfast'. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, even arranging a 'welcome drink' at Cafe Van Gogh next door. One thing: hotels are not equipped with hairdryers, so make sure to ask for one at check in, or plan to go to breakfast with wet hair. They do have them for use, but you must ask. This is a small hotel located in old town Bucharest. The prices are reasonable and the rooms are clean. The bed is a little stiff for my tastes but I think that's the standard in Europe. The hotel is in a historic site and not accessible by car. You have to park 3 to 4 blocks away (if you are lucky to find one) and then walk on part cement part cobble stone with your luggages. It is also difficult to find since the road towards the hotel has a lot of one way street. It took us more than an hour to find our way. I would not recommend […] this hotel unless you are too adventurous and healthy for the long luggage haul. The room is not bad though and the hotel clerk was very friendly. Infront of the hotel is a restaurant and people smoke of course. Not a good place to be if smoke bothers you. Went with my sons. Great hotel in a great location. Near bars/reastaurants. Staff was helpful and all spoke English. Only small issue (not an issue for me) is that it is in the old town and no cars, so you need to carry your bags about 100 yards/meters. But, definitely no big deal and I recommend the hotel.

I've stayed at the Rembrandt multiple times and recommend it highly. The neighborhood is great, particularly since they are have made improvements to the streets around the hotel. The Hotel Rembrandt is located in the center of the old town on a small street closed to car traffic. Rooms facing the street (Smardan) are large, tastefully furnished with big windows. The windows can be opened, there are screens; there is also air-conditioning. Bathrooms are adequate, there is a soap dispenser, shampoo and bath gel, but no lotion, […] no Kleenex and only one roll of toilet paper. Room 51 while just as beautiful as the others should be avoided; there seems to be a sewage pipe running underneath the window and the smell is intense. The breakfast room is pleasant, the buffet offered very good, and the coffee is excellent. The staff of the hotel is very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and a real asset of the hotel. Gay friendly: yes. Location: great. Design: cool. Bucharest is an interesting, small, city. The location of the Rembrandt couldn't be better - 1 min walk into the pedestrian area from the taxi drop-off point, right into the heart of the many bars and restaurants. (Van Gogh cafe outside is worth a visit for cocktails - but avoid the oily eggs). Up […] on the 7th floor was quiet, apart from the thumping of the near by club between midnight and 3am. You cannot beat 'em, so you may as well join 'em! The staff were efficient, but not all that friendly - not to be confused with rude. As a gay-couple we felt welcomed, so no issue there. Stayed for five nights at the Rembrandt in late July 2011. A fantastic experience! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and all spoke great English. I had a slight problem with the wireless internet access in the room (low signal) but the staff very quickly supplied me with a cable to plug in my laptop and all was great. Cable TV was […] good with loads of free English channels (CNN, Nat Geo, Discovery etc.) Bucharest in July can be very hot and humid but the air conditioning in the room was first rate and quickly cooled the room within minutes of turning it on. We booked a "tourist class" room which apprently are smaller than the other rooms - however we found it to be more than adequate and actually larger than many rooms we have stayed in at other hotels in many countries. Only 'problem' was that the particular room we were in had very little natural light and no window that looked at anything other than a back yard. I believe other rooms have better views. Location of the hotel could not be better. Within 2 minutes you can walk to many bars and restaurants and within 5 minutes is the Universitade Metro station. We could not have asked for a better hotel/staff/location/service and would definitely recommend this hotel to other people and will stay there again if/when we next visit Bucharest. Read more

Das Hotel liegt in der Fussgängerzone, in der Nähe von vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Also ideal gelegen. Auch die Umgebung (Fussgängerzone) ist mit den vielen Cafés / Restaurants attraktiv. Mein Zimmer lag auf der Rückseite vom Hotel, deshalb wohl besonders ruhig. Obwohl ich nur eine Nacht in Bukarest war, hat sich der Aufenthalt im Hotel und in der Stadt […] gelohnt. Es gab viel zu entdecken. Zu empfehlen ist jump on and off Bus, welcher die Hauptattraktionen ansteuert. Achtung: in den Stosszeiten kann aber die Wartezeit (15 Min. zwischen den Bussen) stark verlängert werden. Service im Hotel ist zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück ist für rumänische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Sogar dunkles Brot gab es! Sollte ich nochmals nach Bukarest kommen, würde ich sofort wieder dort einschecken. Read more

Personalen var mycket trevlig och duktig på engelska. Läget var perfekt, mitt i centrum och på gångavstånd till palatset. Frukostutbudet var stort och den nypressade apelsinjuicen var uppskattad. En bonus med hotellet var att dom lånade ut dvd-filmer gratis. Rummet var litet men det spelade inte så stor roll. Dörren och fönstret var dessvärre dåligt […] ljudisolerade.
