The room was dirty, torn down and had a stale smell. However, the worst part was the bad service. The staff were grumpy and was not helpful when we checked-in. Lastly, although the listed price of the motel seems cheap and reasonable, we experienced many hidden charges which made the final price of the motel much higher than other motels in that area. A decent place to sleep at the beach. I felt comfortable enough to leave my stuff in the room, which was a huge relief. The room was clean with a refrigerator, stove, T.V. and plenty of supplies. Making another reservation is a definite possibility.

If you can't find a room anywhere else in the area, then sleep in your car before you book this dump...spackled fist holes in the walls, cigarette burns all over the "non-smoking" room...a real "family" place...

I read the horrible reviews for this place and was seriously worried driving there!! This was a last minute trip and everything else was booked! My room was wonderful! Clean, clean linens, brand new full size fridge and new tile. There was a couple saying they wanted a refund because of bugs in there room when I was checking in, but ours was great! […] Don't know if mine is the only one that is good or not but it was #202 if you want to request it!! The beds were hard as rocks and the linens and towels were substandard. The hotel charges for everything to include ice. This was by far the least expensive in the area but was not worth even half of what they charged.

We were 2 miles from myrtle beach state park. We were 1.5 miles from Wild Water& Wheels which is a great place for kids of all ages. The place we liked to eat was at Omega Pancake House which was next door. They have the best pancakes and waffles. I would recommend The Rodeway Inn because me and my husband really enjoyed it. This hotel was dirty, falling apart, dead bugs, ceiling bulging from a leak from room above, breakfast room was dirty, pool was gross. The doorframe on bathroom door fell off when we opened the door, the lamp was water stained and had no bulb. When we walked in the room, we were disgusted but we couldn't get our money back because they had a 72 hour […] refund policy. The man at the front desk was very nice and I actually felt sorry for him to work in such a dump. We saw the man that cleans the rooms and wished we hadn't. We thank god we only were staying 1 night because if we were supposed to stay more, I would have sacrificed my money and gone some place else. This was the worst place I have ever stayed. Dead bugs in the bathroom and the Kitchen sink. I paid for a non smoking room , but our room had an ash tray in it, The Breakfast bar was in a converted room with a few boxes of dry cereal withe a few donuts and a Mr, Coffee. The hotel was ok. The whirl pool tub looks like a regular tub with jets. It was dirty so we had to clean it ourselves to use it, only fits one normal size person. We weren't expecting the full size fridge, microwave, small stove top with sink and cabinets, so that was an awesome bonus. The beds were comfortable. I don't have strong allergies and my […] husband doesn't but we were sneezing up a storm every time we went in the room. Assume it is from lack of proper cleaning. The pool was closed. Upon check in we were told that even though it's green it's safe, and would be okay after dark if the color bothers us. That's pretty nasty! Don't bother trying to eat breakfast there!!! All they supplied were boxes of store bought donuts, old fruit and some milk and juice in their fridge. There's a restaurant next door and a Denny's across the street. Since the address is somewhat ambiguous so we called the front desk for direction, the guy that answered the phone keep telling us that he could see a Mcdonald from his window, so we asked what the name was the street's name next to the hotel, all he could tell was the original address!! So we asked for landmarks and he had no clue, so finally he said […] that we should just stop and ask direction from a local gas station!!!! It took us 1 extra hour to reach there!! Read more

For the price it included a full size refridgerator and stove. Hotel is rather old, but clean. Had trouble finding location but clerk was able to answer my many phone calls.

Paying the price we did, I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised! The only problem we had was actually finding the hotel (if you put the address into your sat-nav you get directed to the wrong place) however I rang the hotel office and was given easy to follow directions. The other reviews that we had seen about this place was a bit scary when we booked the hotel. It was grad week and there wasnt any place to stay.. We checked in and the guy behind the desk was very friendly.. he laughed and joked with me, while we finished processing all of the final stuff. as i left he explained that the room had an electrical short, […] The vanity light had to be turned on first then the bathroom light.. to compensate, they added a microwave to the room. we got upstairs and found the cleaniness of the room amazing. After all the other reviews, it was pretty awesome.. The beds were a little stiff.. I mean this like what you would sleep on at a days inn or a super 8.. it wasnt the hilton.. but it was a lot better then other hotels ive stayed in.. the room seemed new and had a fridge and a two top burner in them. This hotel is clean, basic, simple and inexpensive. I appreciate the convenient location, the spacious rooms, microwave, fridge/freezer, big beds, free internet, and simple but adequate continental breakfast. Not at all luxurious but definitely adequate and convenient for the traveler.
