We just stayed one night as we had an event in the area. The self serve kitchen was well stocked and made you feel at home, and the house was in great condition. We'll stay again!

"Picture perfect stay."
Staying at the Pinehill took us about 25 miles out of our way on a long drive, but it was well worth it. The setting is idyllic and quiet. The town is charming and set in the middle of a paradise for running and hiking. Our room was meticulously appointed; every detail for a relaxing stay is attended to. To say the room was clean is an understatement; immaculate is more appropriate. We ended up staying around later in the morning than we intended just to enjoy our coffee and muffins. Warm, gracious hosts will have us coming back and sending our family as well.

"Historical Stay"
A very nice and wonderful Historic Bed and Breakfast with an interesting history and beautiful furnishings and fireplaces. Where I stayed was on the first floor so I had good access to the Living Room, Dining Room and outside to the wrap around porch. Enjoyed my coffee outside in the morning to a great setting! Had all the privacy I needed with my own master bathroom and large closet area.

"Terrific time"
We had a beautiful comfortable room, a wonderful bathroom, and excellent food. The hosts were gracious, friendly, and generous. We needed time away from our home life to talk to each other and visit an antique show.

"Best B & B"
I have never stayed at a B & B before. I could not have picked a better place. It was decorated for Christmas better than I could have imagined. The host was so delightful and the rooms were perfect. I would go again and again.

"Weekend getaway"
Excellent B&B with friendly owners and outstanding breakfast. It's nice to see that the Midwest is finally catching up to New England in the quality of the B&B experience.

"Great on night stay"
We only stayed one night this time - we were on our way to another destination. However, we will plan to return and stay longer. Our accommodations were very comfortable and private. The breakfast was tasty and original (featuring gingerbread pancakes) and there were at least 3 state parks nearby. As out-of-staters we were surprised that Illinois state parks do not charge admission. The sights along the Rock River were perfect in the October sunshine. Would highly recommend this destination and this inn.

"Beautiful Victorian Get Away"
Wonderful time at Pinehill Inn. The house is decorated to a t- we were there in the Fall. The breakfasts are formal and the food outstanding. Attention is given to every detail. The kitchen is stocked with snacks and drinks which is so nice to come home to. The only thing that I would change would be to put more room between the breakfast tables. The closeness inhibits conversation.

"Our first B&B experience"
Feeling bad for any other B&B we might choose - Pinehill Inn has set the bar pretty high. Extraordinary decor, friendly staff, great food, nice location near White Pines State Park (where the wedding held). Talking with Ken, they host classes for people interested in running their own B&B's - they know how to do it right.

Peaceful comfort awaits you in this B&B in Oregon, IL. Chris and Ken welcome you and provide anything you should need. Can't say enough good thing about the Somerset Room. I've never experienced a room so calming and warm. This historic home will restore your soul! If in the area, a must visit.

"Pinehill Inn"

Quality property and experience throughout... wonderfully kept grounds, clean and great hospitality. The innkeepers make their job(s) look easy, but as a guest it is readily apparent what hard work and effort go into the Pinehill Inn to keep it immaculate. I enjoyed my pancake breakfast & will return!

"Definitely have to stay here! "

Pristinely decorated and maintained. It is a perfectly restored home on the national register of historic places. Ask about the red stained glass window and it's story: do you see things through rose colored glasses? We stayed in Captian's Quarters on the first floor. We highly recommend that room. The porches were so relaxing! The continental breakfast was great! We had 24/7 access to snacks, fruit, popcorn, chocolates, granola bars. Lovely! Must stay. You won't be disappointed.

"Our Ladies Day Out Event at Pinehill Inn was Fabulous!"
04/30/15 VirtusCapitalPartner Byron, Illinois
Pinehill partcipated in our 2015 Ladies Day Out Experience by hosting a traditional English Afternoon Tea for about 20 of our guests. Our guests raved about the food, the property and the atmosphere of this lovely historic mansion. A few of them even booked follow-up events before they left for the day. Thank you Chris and Ken for your participation, generosity and hospitality!

"Beautiful northwestern Illinois B&B"

This 1874 brick mansion is beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters on the first floor, and we were very pleased with it. Chris met us at the door to welcome us and show us around the inn. The Butler's Pantry serves as the self-serve kitchen for guests who opt for the continental breakfast, or who might want a snack 24 hours a day. A large library of movies on DVD is available at no charge. We loved the casual informality of the inn, and we hope to return.

"Beautiful House"

My girlfriend and I had a lovely night here. The Victorian mansion is well decorated and beautiful throughout. Pleasant hosts and the house has numerous amenities. We enjoyed an Italian dinner at a nearby (10 minute drive) restaurant. Breakfast at the house was nice. Several state parks/recreation areas are nearby. Nice to hike along the Rock River while in the area.

From the moment you arrive and meet Chris, you know you've found some place special! A beautiful warm home that is spotless and clean ( really not a speck of dust anywhere!) and a warm hostess to show us around and share a story or two. We loved the 24 hour snacks and drinks available and included. The breakfast was amazing! Chris is an amazing chef. We will come again!

Pinehill Inn is a step back in time. It's absolutely beautiful. Our room was on the ground floor, there are others on the 2nd floor. Gorgeous sweeping staircase. Manicured grounds. Hosts Ken & Chris are wonderful. They treat you like family and really pay attention to details. Beautifully prepared and tasty breakfast. Evening snacks are always available in a very well stocked mini kitchen. Desktop and iPad for your use. We were in the area to visit family. Great area. Everything is so convenient; restaurants (try La Vigna), grocery store, post office, gas stations, or anything else you may need. Site seeing is great and everyone is so friendly. We highly recommend Pinehill Inn. We'll return when we will be in the area. Pinehill Inn is a definite try it you'll love it. Enjoy.

The Pinehill Inn was a delight! The room was lovely and thoughtfully appointed, Ken and Chris were helpful and accommodating. All of the common rooms were welcoming and comfortable. The food pantry was very convenient and well stocked, too. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay that exceeded our expectations!
