We always stay at this cozy, chic boutique hotel when in Amsterdam. The staff is extremely efficient & very friendly and they make you feel right at home. Hotel Roemer is a boutique hotel located in a quiet area and about one block from the main street. It is convenient to major interests by trams and/or by foot. We had to take our own luggage up a few steps to the reception area (slightly difficult), which is consisted of a one-man desk and is more like an open office. Helpful staff and great location for Vondel Park and Museums. First room I had was in the basement. Mold was visible on the walls due to dampness. Bed and bath were spotless, but I requested a move the second night. Loved my intimate room, but middle of the night was disturbed by partiers in the hallway.

I loved the art but was surprised at how the paint had worn off the floors in hall at front & in elevator. In some places this could be cool, like peeling paint on brick, but this just looked uncared for. The hotel could use a gentle face lift.

My mom and I stayed here for our first visit to Amsterdam. This hotel was in a perfect spot. You can walk to the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum from here. There is also some excellent high-end shopping two blocks away. The tram stop is only a few minutes walk and you can get anywhere in the city via the trams. Location is in a quiet neighborhod just off the main hustle and bustle of the city. Easy access to get anywhere as Amsterdam is walking friendly. Minutes to best museums, great restaurants and coffee houses. Around the corner form the largest park in the Netherlands.

Don't expect a room to be ready on arrival before the stated check-in time (P.M. 3:00). Don't get a room on the ground floor near the common area because it is very noisy. The staff is friendly, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is large, and the hotel is conveniently located.

This hotel has a lovely peaceful courtyard out the back. The rooms are modern and clean and the extras make the experience even better. The one possible downside was the Sunday check in staff were not particularly helpful and welcoming. But otherwise it was a brilliant hotel and I would still stay there again

This hotel was really great. We had a junior suite and the room was gorgeous. Really spacious with a huge bathroom. We didn't spend too much time in the bar or common area so I can't judge that but our stay in amsterdam was a real pleasure with such a nice place to come home to. Can't recommend it enough. We stayed in the Junior Suite and had a wonderful stay. Booked through hotels.com at a very good price for what we got. The front-of-house staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The room is a good size with an excellent bathroom - especially the Jacuzzi bath. It's also equipped with all the stuff you would expect like a hair dryer and a safe. […] Location-wise I couldn't fault it, it's really close to the museum area, and it's very easy to get to Amsterdam Central station via the #1,2,5 trams. We didn't have breakfast, so can't really comment on it, but I can say the breakfast and bar area looked cozy. All in all, a great experience, and would happily recommend and stay there again. The hotel was difficult to find using public transport and was not easily identified from the street, particularly at night. Entrance area was small and not well signed - not what I would expect when arriving at a four star hotel. Room size was the worst problem and we had one of the larger rooms. The room was very narrow with no extra space to spread […] out. Only one of us could walk from the foot of the bed to the bathroom at a time.We also had problems with heating, or lack of, on the first night. The hotel is in a great location if you are interested in visiting the major galleries. The room itself had an usual layout which made it seem more spacious. Great shower. The common area (with fireplace) was like being in your own living room. The one irritation was always having to ring a buzzer to get into the hotel.

Hotellet ligger i en rolig gate og har en fin bakgård. Beliggenhet med kort avstand til det meste, det aller meste hvis man klarer å gå litt. Mange av rommene har veranda og holder en generelt høy standard. Satte pris på iPod/iPhone docking med god lyd (JBL) på rommet. Grei service, men virket litt arrogant ved første inntrykk. Purtroppo esistono camere nel semi interrato ! (camere 10-15)Non dovrebbero essere affittate in un hotel 4 stelle. Fortunatamente noi abbiamo avuto la camera 30 al secondo piano molto confortevole (3 televisori e macchina Nespresso con cialde gratuite).

L'hotel est plutôt agréable mais la chambre dans laquelle on était, était vraiment très petite et pas très propre. La douche inondait toute la salle de bain... En plus la climatisation était en panne... Il n'y avait plus de vélo à louer... Pour résider à l'hotel Roemer, il faut être dans une grande chambre.
