We booked this hotel two months in advance, and were really excited after reading all the positive reviews. After arriving at the property management office (we arrived early) we asked if we could check in early and they had no problem. Very anxious (our party of 8) poured into the condo. To our surprise, the carpets were stained, couches ripped, and to make matters worse the air conditioner broke. We immediately called the office, and they told us to call them back if it didn't get cooler. After waiting 10 minutes, nothing kicked on--and of course we called back and were told to call back in another 10 minutes. Of course, we waited and no change (keep in mind it was a 90 deg day high humidity). After calling back, they arranged another room for us, which was 10 times worse. Carpets were filthy, bugs were crawling around and the air conditioner didn't kick on. This time the property manager came to the condo and tried to fix the problems and basically accused us of being too picky. After noting how warm it was on the third-level, he arranged for another condo and asked if my boyfriend and I would like to inspect it with him. Upon entry, it was beautiful and the temperature was very pleasant. As we walked up to the third floor to our surprise, the rooms were a wreck and the blinds had falled down because both windows were just replaced. The manager was so embarresed he upgraded our package to the Executive suite (which we compromised an extra bathroom) and were into the suite within 30 minutes. EVERYTHING looked great in the new suite (because they had just touched up paint, cleaned carpet) and then we realized after we agreed to the room that the couch was falling apart (loveseat). It wasn't that big of a deal because we weren't utilizing that as a bed. However, when it did come time for bed--the sofa pulled out into a pull out bed and looked very inviting. As two quests laid down the entire bed flew forward resulting in them being thrown behind the couch with the b

Also, the "hidden" $75 cleaning charge for a stay less than 5 days was not impressive. The charge was on the last line of the reservation in tiny print, after the cancellation policy.

I love this place! It's like being in a home away from home with the excutive suite that we had purchased. Lots of space with class, including the granite kitchen countertops, the huge master bathroom, and the plasma televisions. A suggestion to parents with young kids is to go to the local Wal-mart to purchase plastic plates/cups as the plates and glasses that are furnished don't go well with the stone tile about the kitchen area. The $75.00 cleaning fee was reasonable considering the size of the place, but it does need to be noted somewhere on the website so as not to be a surprise to those who don't read the reviews. It was like living in a gated community for awhile- What a great experience we had and I will always stay at Vista Cay!

While waiting to checkin management discovered a slight problem with the 3 bedroom unit and we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom executive suite at the original price of the two bedroom. Needless to say we had more than enough space to accommodate our family. Alsom we were in walking distance of the pool. Everything was perfect. We were also able to purchase our tickets to the theme parks at the resort so that made things very convenient. Great stay.

Once arriving in the room, a publix shopping cart greeting us at the front door, the kitchen counters were sticky, the plates in the cabinet were spotted and we could not change rooms. Once in the room the garbage disposal broke down (not sure it was ever working) and the A/C went out. It never cooled below 80 before it broke either. Beds were the cheapest mattresses available. It was nice to have free wifi and HBO, but honestly, I would NEVER stay there again.

The gentlemen on the phone was very helpful he told us how to find the office and how to get our papers out of the box. When we got into town at 5:00am we were able to find all of this with no trouble, but then we miss read the instructions (blame it on lack of sleep and 19 hours in the care with kids) but when we couldn't get our room door open I called the emergency after hours number and got no answer. Finally we realized that we were in the wrong building, once we were in the right spot everything was wonderful. However, if you give an emergency after hours number to call someone should answer your call.

I enjoyed my time at Vista Cay and the room was beautiful. I was taken back by the 75.00 cleaning fee that was not mentioned at all in the reservation package and I do feel it is a bit over priced for reservations for 1. The room was nice but lacked extra pillows, linens, or any extra towels for the pool and other amenities. I was forced to use my bath towel for the pool and then wash it myself in the provided laundry room in the condo (not a well thought out idea). When I asked for extra at the front desk I was told that it is to be provided by the management team or owner of the condo. The room itself was very nice and even though I booked a 2 bedroom, none were available so I was given a 3 bedroom for the same price. I would stay here again considering it's close proximity to all of Orlando's attractions, just be sure to request plenty of linens and towels since there isn't daily maid services. These condos are very spacious and make an ideal place for families big or small, plenty of room to yourself instead of staying in a cramped hotel room. Kitchen was well equipped with deluxe appliances and could help save money on eating out while on vacation. Would recommend over any hotel or efficiency rental.

Impressed - We were. It was in a new complex with a large supermarket 100 yards away, and the whole area was very quiet and beautifully kept. Didn't use the clubhouse and restaurant facilities but looked in on arrival and they were very luxurious. Spent four nights there visiting Universal Studios etc, all of which were less then 10 mins by car. Would definately recommend and return there on our next visit to Orlando. Very reasonably priced. The condo was perfect for our 1 week stay in Orlando. My husband and I travelled with our two boys (4 and 1) and to save money, we used a local "pre-prepare your food and freeze it, then cook when you;re ready and eat it" service (the store rhymes with Let's (m)Eat"). Which turned out great - we saved a ton of money on food by cooking at the condo every night and some days. Couple of recommendations for travellers looking to do the same - you will have to bring or buy extra dishwashing tablets (you only get one with check-in), laundry detergent, and you will have to purchase or bring extra trash bags (you only get one trash bag (13 gal) with check-in). The garage attached to the condo would be perfect for a small car like a mini or a smartcar, but a regular sized family sedan would not fit and we didn't want to risk denting walls or doors with our rental, so we parked in the "driveway" in front of the condo. Good features about this place: there are so many, but our favorites were the spaciousness of our unit, the ease of doing business with the rental office, the location of the condo in Orlando (so convenient to everything), and to have a washer/dryer + dishwasher + full kitchen for a travelling family was priceless. I wish there was a Vista Cay in every city I had to travel to with my family, because we would be regulars.
