Nice clean room. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom. Only downside was the construction around the hotel which made it harder to get in and out with a taxi.

I spent three nights at the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites, staying in a City View One Bedroom Suite. It was, frankly, larger than my NYC apartment, fantastically appointed and furnished -- including a washer/dryer, dish washer, dishware, toaster oven, tea kettle, and even a breadbox. It was loud and grinding enough that for the hour or so it was on, I couldn't do any work under its noise. We are frequent travelers and and most of our stay are in 4 to 5 star hotels. We rarely write reviews but felt the need to warn others of this stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 4 nights and it was quite roomy and comfortable but that was it except for friendly and helpful bellman and concierge. The housekeeping staff was very bad. We had to ask […] for everything. They would not provide soap for dishwasher and would not do the dishes. They did a poor job of cleaning. The hotel policy was to only provide 2 bottles of water on the first day only. There was no written note explaining the policy. the hotel did not provide much amenities, which I would compare with a 3 star hotel. This is the last time We will stay at a Marriott hotel. It was obvious that Marriott is trying to cut back on small things but it is very noticeable. Read more

generally a nice hotel, well located next to the marina. No access to the beach as stated on the site although access to the marina is very close. Only issue really was after hours service. Rang many times to get the attention of reception then a long time to respond to the request, which should have been in the room anyway. Breakfast in the room was […] great and real treat, the view was lovely. Only issue is that there are some permanent emirates there that do what they want and dont seem to be challenged. Having booked a hotel that offered an amazing view, we were quite disappointed with the wonderful views of the construction and cranes from our floor. If the staff would be more up to Marriot customer satisfaction standards, they would have at least offered to re-accommodate our stay at a different level or room etc. Instead we were rudely turned down […] on simple requests and also made aware of charges to use internet in the lobby or in our room. We are in 2012 and as business travelers we utlilize several wireless devices. No wireless connections were available in our room. Even the local coffee shop had free wifi. Read more

Location is great, staff are pleasant and relatively helpful. However we had two nights of no sleep as the hotel guest in the room above was playing music loudly from 1 am, and despite complaints (every hour on the second night) to reception and reassurances that the situation would be dealt with it was not. The hotel's solution was to move us to another […] room rather than deal with the other guest, disappointing to say the least. Also the hotel no longer has access to another hotel's beach (despite what the link on Expedia says) and guests now have to use a paid for public beach. When our party took the courtesey bus to the beach there was a massive queue (National Day weekend) and they found out they had to pay, they promptly got back on the bus. However it transpires that hotel guests get complimentary access and that the beach is huge so they would have had shade etc, but none of this was explained before going to the beach, and it took staff over 24 hours to bring our party up to speed by which point it was almost time to leave! Amazing in every way. massive room about 150sqm. Washing machine great for families. The best service around. We checked in a 4.30am and because our marina view room wasnt ready they gave us a normal city room view and then changed us that afternoon. With a young family this kind of stuff is greatly appreciated. Book it and you wont be dissapointed

I was extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel although I cannot fault the cleaniness of the suite we had, we felt the suite was extremely dark and no sense of natural light at all. We used the pool facilities and again this is not the standard I would expect from Marriot the pool was outdated the towels handed out were old and tatty and even […] though it was well over 40 degrees the hotel did not even provide complimentry water to the guests using the pool. I found the location extremely off putting and again outside looked like a building site . Me and my 6 girlfriends stayed in one af the suites. The suite was huge and well equipped with an amazing view overlooking The Palm. By the Marina, and a very short and nice walk to Dubai Marina Mall and many nice restaurants along the Marina. The spa was the way every spa experiences should be. Relaxing and sooooo enjoyable. Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel is practically a 4-star hotel. The suite I occupied was very comfortable and excellent for long stay periods. However, the hotel amenities are more adequate to a 4-star accommodation.

As usual, Expedia made our trip trouble free, with a very easy booking system. The hotel has really large suites and it makes a great base for the Dubai Marina. This was our second visit. The one change since our last visit to this hotel is the building of a 'twisty' skyscraper next door. Schönes und sehr sauberes Hotel. Sehr fleissige Mitarbeiter, besonders das Zimmer -Servicepersonal. Man gibt sich rundherum sehr viel Mühe den Aufenthalt eines jeden Gastes zu verschönern. Stor tvårumslägenhet med 4 badrum. Jätte fin spa avdelning med gym, bubbelpool, ångbastu och vanlig bastu. Pool ute med badvakt, solen kom 12.30(i slutet av juli) och stannade sen hela dagen. Vi bodde på 27 våningen med jätte fin utsikt över marinan, boka gärna marina utsikt. Fin restaurang på 52 våningen, vi åt dock inte där. Vi hade fyra toaletter […] och tre duschar vilket var toppen då vi var två vuxna och två barn(16,9). Hotellet hade shuttle service till stranden, bra. marinan är ett jätte fint område att bo i, fin walk att gå el. springa på. Nära till marina mall, 5 min med taxi kostar 6 AED med man betalar ändå 10. Dock är hotellet 4 stjärnigt och inte 5 som expedia uppger. Vi skjønte raskt hvorfor det ikke var bilder av bassengområdet. Solen kom ikke før hvertfall kl 14.00 (tidlig i mars) og det var veldig mye vind der, hvertfall når vi var der. Men så har det visst vært en usedvanlig vindfull vinter i Dubai. Bassenget var lite og ligger mot hovedveien. Vi brukte ikke bassenget på den uken vi var der. Veldig hyggelig […] personell, og rommene var fantastiske. Veldig store og helt grei standard. Vi hadde familiesuitte, og der var det tre soverom (med mulighet for en ekstra seng på eget rom), 4 bad, stort innholdsrikt kjøkken og veldig stor stue med sofa, stuebord og spisebord med plass til 8. Så sånn sett var det en positiv opplevelse å bo der, sett bort fra uteområdet. Ellers var restauranten i 52. etasje så som så. Det tok veeeldig lang tid å få maten begge gangene vi spiste der, og vi fikk servert feil mat begge gangene. Men når maten først kom, var den god. Neste gang velger vi et annet hotell, men er dere mange som skal bo sammen, er det helt supert hvis dere ikke drar utelukkende for å sole dere. Read more
