I found this hotel online and as usual was biting my nails until I arrived as you never REALLY know what you're going to get until you arrive. I must say that we were very pleasantly surprised. Extremely comfortable beds and very friendly hotel staff. The breakfast was quite good for a continental. We did have to pay for parking ($20) but it was in […] a garage right next door so it was easy to retrieve if necessary. Metro was right there so we never took the car out until we left. Very clean. The bed and bath were top quality. Very good service. Excellent value.

The location is excellent, within a few blocks of the historic district. Rooms comfortable, and the desk staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here on a future visit to Montreal.

Attractive room, comfortable bed and chairs, ultra clean; convenient to all needed services, attractions and transportation; excellent rates; extraordinary staff who do all that they can (with a smile) to assist, serve and make their guests feel "at home." The hotel was very clean and the staff were courteous and helpful. I thought the parking too limited and the per night charge for parking is expensive. My stay was good overall.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. Our room was very neat and clean. I loved that it was hardwood floors. The best part was that there was a computer in our room with internet which became very useful when I had to book a last minute flight. The bathroom was very clean with plenty of lighting. just across the montreal convention centre. A very good alternative to Westin and Intercontinental for a fraction of price. Will definitely stay again.

We had all the comforts we needed without too much of the excess frou-frou that we don't care for. We found the style to be sleek but not bare. The bathroom sink had space to put our toiletries bags. The room was big enough to have a friend visit. The continental breakfast had an espresso maker and fresh muffins baked on site.

Very reasonable cost considering the amenities. Comfortable room, outstanding location for Palais de Congress, breakfast pretty underwhelming, free Wifi. Onsite parking a tad pricy.

I highly recommend this hotel, and I am not easy to please when it comes to staying in hotels.

I arrived late and received the last available room which was on the second floor along the main street. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that the windows and insulation allowed only minimal street noise to be heard and thus had no impact on the enjoyment of my stay. The parking is a total mess as there is only place for 6 cars and can only be mangaed with a considerable amount of dexterity and time.

Location, breakfast, room were really good. It is near to 'old montreal' which is one of the touristic places in montreal. I stayed 3nights in this hotel. All of things were good, but there is no ventilation devices in toliet, so it was little bit humid.

The hotel was a good location, easy walk to many sites such as Notre Dame. The floors were hardwood and were never cleaned. My feet were black after walking around as were my roommates white slippers. Lighting in an other wise great bathroom is horrilbe. No lighting for great walk in glass shower. Oh, not one towel bar in bathroom was odd. There was […] no place to put towels that were used. AC worked very well, it was very hot when we visited. Front desk persons when we checked in were not at all friendly or helpful, later in the day the staff change proved to be much nicer. There is no bellman, luggage is put on the street by guest in front of hotel, no place to pull off street and I was chastised for taking luggage cart outside. I am elderly and have health problems and struggled to get suitcases into hotel, no one offered to help. This hotel has potential to be really nice but it sure needs some training and lighting improvements. There are only wall lights in room so you have all the lights or none of the lights, exception is one very bright light between beds. i was looking for looking for a hotel in montreal for a 3 night stay and stumbled upon the hotel dauphin by accident on the hotels,com website. it's hard to pick a hotel that's not a chain, but what caught my eye was the fantastic reviews by previous travelers. they were spot on. the hotel was located within walking distance to old montreal and the […] jazz festival and other parts so we barely had to move the car. it was modern, spotless and very comfortable. the room was large and had everything we needed, the bed and linens comfortable and spotless. the hotel offered a free expanded continental breakfast(which i wasn't expecting) which was very convenient and saved us a few bucks. the only thing that i think was a little unusual was the parking. they offer on site parking for a fee. when we pulled into the garage under the building, there were only 7 spaces-i'm not kidding. we parked and asked about it. if you get a space, it's guaranteed for the lenght of your stay. you have to be one of the lucky 7. if not, you park across the street in the convention center lot. all in all, i was very satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again in a minute. This is a very nice, well-maintained property. It is comfortable with a great shower. Beautiful hard-wood- floors. This hotel serves complimentary breakfast. HOWEVER, it is NOT anywhere near restaurants, pubs, a deli, etc. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD. It was convenient for us because we were only spending one night to make a train connection.

In a city where hotels and accomodations were 20% higher than I was used to, I found that Hotel Dauphin offered the best quality for the price. It is adjacent to Chinatown and two blocks from Metro. Also walking distance to many sites. I shopped online and read reviews before choosing. No disappointments.

Clean, quiet with a friendly front desk. Comfortable beds, in-room safe, in-room computer and wireless. Decent breakfast. Extremely convenient to the Convention center, Old Montreal, McGill.

In downtown Montreal very close to everything. Staff was helpful and friendly.I would stay in hotel again.

Very close (across the street) from Palais de Congress. Room was lovely, although bed was a bit firm for my taste. I was disappointed the toiletries were not restocked each day, but I understood that they had extra for sale in the lobby. Front desk was very helpful!! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Located next to Westin and Continental down town Montreal at half the cost, but has very nice accommodations.

We selected this hotel based on reviews by others. They were very accurate. We were very pleased with the staff, room, location, and cleanliness. A little pricey but about the same as other hotels in the area. Location is within a few blocks in one direction to Old Montreal and a few blocks in the other direction to rue St. Catherine and all the upscale […] shopping. Many restaurants close by. Also, within walking distance to the cruise ship terminal, (~1km). None of the hotels in this area have shuttle service to the airport, so a taxi is necessary. Check the fare before going, it can vary by five dollars or more. Read more

I reserved this hotel after I read reviews. I agreed with most reviews. One minor inconvenience was that the coffee pot was not made of glass and we could not boil water when we needed hot water.

I read other reviews before I reserve the room and I find other reviews were telling the truth. This is a very good hotel.

Very pleasant 1 night. Perfect location as I had to go to Palais de Congres. Practically across the street. Room and hotel were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good for continental. Excellent bathroom with shower and heated floor. Safe in room was useful. Queen beds were very comfortable, plenty of pillows. Room computer was very convenient. Internet connection was lost once or twice over 3 days. We rose late one day and put out "do not disturb" […] sign. Room was not spruced up that day. Old Montreal was fun - St. Paul Street very charming. Recommend Creperie Chez Suzette for dinner. Sorry we missed horse and carriage ride. Chinatown was great for souvenirs - many shops and low prices. I never knew how wonderful Chinese bakeries were - we bought great pastries filled with everything! Location felt safe. Underground hotel parking is excellent, with ability to go in and out at will. We were very happy with this hotel- newer, clean room with all the needed amenities. The location is great, we were able to walk everywhere that we went from the hotel. Right around the corner from Chinatown also. My only complaint is although the bathroom is modern and clean looking, the sink area is very small and there is no counter space. The hotel was a short walk from Central Station. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice staff. I can't comment on the neighborhood as I arrived at night and left early the following morning so I didn't really see it.

Fairly new and very clean. Very good security. Desktop computer with internet acess in each room. Be aware our room had no tub but had a beautiful shower. Walking distance to good restaurants though advisable to have hotel make reservations for you on Friday and Saturday nights.
