"Good Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Hotel in excellent location for Chester visit, enjoyed spa facilities, including pool, jacuzzi, sauna. Thought breakfast overpriced at £12 per person, therefore made separate arrangements.
"Great hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
amazing clean comfortable hotel. lovely staff. bargain price will stay time and again
"Very Convenient for Tate and museums!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Receptionist was welcoming and knowledgeable. Our dock view room with view of the Liver building was large and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and self service. Parking could be a problem for those with heavy cases wanting to put cases in the car prior to visiting museums, as it is some distance away. Hotel enables a £1.50 reduction on the £9 parking charge. All in all...no complaints at all!
"Close to the city within the countryside"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
An excellent hotel. Friendly owners, enormous breakfasts, attentive service and in a lovely location.
"Better than a hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Very impressed with Base2Stay, they rightly deserve the high praise that they receive. Informative and helpful (to the point that one receptionist lent me her own umbrella when I realised I'd forgotten mine) staff. The foyer/social area is very pleasant and nespresso coffee on tap is a lovely touch - after dinner my colleagues and I had coffee back here rather than at the restaurant! Enjoyed having my own kitchenette - there is a supermarket less than two minutes away so very easy to stock up. Room was large and quiet, wifi worked well. All in all exactly what I'd hope for when I'm away with work.

"close to ferry terminal"
Very satisfied overall. I found the reception staff very helpful and accommodating. Very handy for the Ferries and shopping in Liverpool
"Malmaison Liverpool"
The ambience bit dark in the room, sent to wrong room which was already occupied. The dinner service was terrible had to wait an hour for our main course. Think we were forgotten. Stayed in Base2Stay the night before & that was excellent & £100 cheaper.
"Would recommend this hotel."
Hotel was very nice, a bit dark interior, very comfortable. Staff very friendly and most attentive. Location for most of Liverpools attractions was good. Setting lovely overlooks the river almost! I stayed here on my own and never felt uncomfortable. Walked around the local area alone and again never once felt worried.
"Malmaison, Liverpool – good weekend choice"
This hotel is next door to the Crowne Plaza and just over the road from the older (though still 4*) Atlantic. All three are about 10 mins walk from Albert Dock or the shopping centre. We chose the Malmaison simply because it looked more stylish – and it is. Forget the temporary outside work on the cladding, the interior is smart and atmospheric. Our […] river view room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. There's an atmospheric bar and a perfectly good restaurant which offers a range of dining including, unusually for a hotel, pizza. (There's a busy but pleasant Italian restaurant called Gusto at Albert Dock). Malmaison staff were pleasant and helpful all round and we had no complaints. Negative points – While the exterior work is going on the temporary access is a bit crummy. Can't be helped. Car parking is confusing and would be helped if the hotel issued an explanatory note with the booking confirmation. Get details when you book. But these are just niggles. Overall our stayed rated 8 or 9 out of 10, which is good. Booking with an online agency (ie this one) is recommended. We save £50 on the advertised rate for two nights. If you want to be closer to the shops, try the Hard Days Night Hotel, which is round the corner from the Cavern Club. Looks good, but parking might be a bit of nightmare. Must-dos in Liverpool: Beatles bus tour; Tate Liverpool; Mathew Street (Cavern etc); ferry cross the Mersey. We enjoyed our stay and would probably choose the Malmaison if we return. Read more
Excellent hotel and service
"Lovely hotel however"
i wasnt told that there would be a £50 deposit that needs to be paid on check in so that was a bit of a shock !!
"Hotel Malmaison in Liverpool"
Close to the Albert Docks and Liverpool One shopping centre ... Hotel is in a Class of it's own ! Attention to detail is awesome and welcome is very friendly. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, great selection of TV Channels and bath/shower was superb. Cannot fault in anyway .... was a little disappointed with the current construction work going […] on to the actual hotel building and surrounding areas but def a MUST place to stay ! Read more
"Hotell med god service"
Gjennomført flott hotell, god service veldig proffe ansatte i alle avdelinger men trekker noe ned på menyvalg og kjedelig mat.
Var på fotballkamp og dette hotellet var det eneste som hadde 1 ledig rom igjen.Dette er et hotell vi virkelig kan anbefale. Bra service og store flotte rom.
