"Booking your breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The stay was pleasant, the reception was good. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not up to par. To benefit from the announced breakfast you have to pre-book, if you don't the hotel will charge 56% more. Of course this was not clearly spelled out at check in.Besides breakfasy was not very generous! one type of cheese and type of salami!
"Location is great, as is the hotel."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. We could hear the bells of the abbey and look out to see the parade grounds. I was initially concerned that a BW may be a big box, but they have sensitively maintained much of the character of the wonderful old hotel while incorporating modern amenities like a full, modern, spacious bathroom. We opted for the breakfast inclusive package and found it to be robust and offering many options. We set out on foot and did the whole city from this great central location.
"Convenient spot and accomodating friendly staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 29, 2012
My room was noisy, on the side next to the train tracks. Trains coming through every couple of hours. The front desk staff were extremely accomodating and they found me an alternative room for the remainder of my stay which was quiet. Hotel new, rooms well appointed and friendly bar staff. Convenient to the bus and train stations. I come into town for University classes several times a year and I have begun staying here each time. They also have complementary internet access throughout the hotel, even in the rooms which is very unusual! Good deal!
"Brooklands B&B, Weston-s-mare - perfect!"Reviewed by Dave & Jeanni K of "Belleville, IL, USA" on Apr 17, 2012
We stayed 2 weeks. The owner and staff are very efficient, accommodating, and pleasant. The location was perfect and the facility was excellent. We will stay again.
"Pleasant Setting and Charming Family"Reviewed by Norman T of "Dallas, TX" on Apr 17, 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was in an idylic country town which afforded great access to local sites such as Bath. Family was an absolute charm with homey rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.... Would definitely stay there again....

"Ibis Central (Harbourside), Birstol, UK, July 2010"
Decent hotel for decent price in excellent location. In general, modern, clean and convenient, a good economy choice. Negatives: 1. Not all front desk people are equally qualified, one lady (from Africa or Carribeian?), for example, was really out of touch- slow, bad English, incomeptent. In contrast, a Portugese speaking (many of them are bilingual) […] BRUNA was excellent, as well as another guy with French accent. TRY to find the right desk officer!. 2. Door key- everytime i come back in the evening, everytime they were blocked, gotta go down and restore/change them. TRY to keep them in a wallet, not in pocket, they can be corrupted TOO easily. BEST solution - give them at front-desl any time you leave the hotel. 3. Note, there will be no shampoo and a very small peace of soap, BE PREPARED to bring your own. 4. NO haidryer. 5. On positive side, it has a good 24/hr movie/internet broadband dealpounds, I found it convenient. But you can pay per 1 hr internet in the hall. Plus, they've told me there is a Hi-Fi equipped business/shopping center in working hours near the hotel. 6. if you light with baggage, a bust stop to airport is very near (5 min to walk), it goes every 20 minutes, svae you a couple of dozen pounds each way. IN general, I'd say in the middlle of summer in the middle of Bristol- VERY DECENT deal. Read more
"Ibis Bristol Centre"
Great location.Airport bus drops you off right by the hotel, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars just outside the door but no noise inside the hotel.Very helpful and courteous staff.Tourist office less than 5mins walk.Overall recommendable.
"What a great location"
The hotel was in a great location and the signing in and out times are really good, with breakfast served up til mid-day. All in all a great success.
Room was ok, but the bed was essentially a camp bed not comfortable. Good location though.

"Ibis perfect location for socialising"
Fine hotel. Good value for money. Cheap and cheerful. Fantastic location for enjoying Bristols social life
"Centre of Bristol"
The hotel was in a great location for me. It was clean and comfortable and although basic suited my needs. I was there on a course so it was perfect for my needs and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
"The Bed"
A very nice hitel the staff were very friendly and helpfull, rooms and hotel nice and very clean. But the BED a little softer then the floor and slanting from the middle, kept sliding out of bed all night. My wife and I both had bad backs each morning.
"Very happy"
After reading other reviews I expected the worst from the hotel but when me and my fiancée arrived, we had a warm welcome, when we got to our room the room was a decent size but there were a few things that yet it. Open the curtains to see a gym was a big downer. The bed wasn't really sleepable and trying to work out what channels on the tv were free […] was harder but when i needed another pillow or more tea or coffee they were really helpful, I would stay again Read more
"Ibis Bristol Harbourside - excellent value"
Overnight stay for business trip. Check in quick & cheerful. Booked through this site and everything worked fine. Room was a good size and unusually for a hotel, was warm when I entered. Room & bathroom very clean. Bed was a big double and nice and comfortable. Mattress was firm. Bathroom was one of these clever "drop in" modular types, with a toilet, […] shower and sink. Good flow of water in the shower and water was warm straight away. Extractor fan actually seemed to do its job! Bar area was clean and functional - 1 1/2 pints of Grolsh gave me a bad head the next day - only mass produced standard pump & bottled lagers etc available. Nighttime was quiet and uneventful; no noisy sirens or crowds of roudy youths. Breakfast gave an unusual level of buffet style choice. Hot scrambled egg, bacon, sausage & baked beans - cereals - yogurts & a varied fresh fruit salad (not the standard 80% cheap melon so often provided - this actually had kiwi fruit in it!) - croissants and lots more. Dining area is clean and efficient - not somewhere you would linger but not unpleasant. Check out took no more than 30 secs. I would recommend this hotel for business trips but also I would have no problem takingy kids there if say we wanted somewhere from where to explore Bristol. Not the sort of hotel that has large comforable lounges to hang out in but a very clean, efficient, warm basic hotel. All in all, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Read more
"Ibis Bristol"
Good location if you are out in Bristol for a night out. There are alot of clubs and pubs nearby so not perfect for children late on a Saturday night! Would definitely reccomend though.
"Ibis Bristol Centre"
A budget hotel in an excellent location on Bristol's water-front close to bars and restaurants. Parking within close proximity. Freindly and helpful staff. Good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Couldn't fault it for an overnight stay.
"I'd stay there again - but maybe not at a weekend."
Nice enough hotel, only about 20 minute walk from the shoppIng centre, and even closer to the university and hospitals. The hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants looks like it could be very noisy at weekends. Bristol is dead quiet in a weeknight.
"IBis Bristol Centre"
A nightmare to find if you are driving and it is dark - completely invisible from the road. Hotel fine and clean - although the 'pod' bathrooms could do with better ventilation.

"Basic hotel, great location"
The rooms have everything you need but they're very basic. There's no incentive to rush back to the hotel to relax but it's perfect just to sleep in and is in a really convenient location. Food is served 24 hours a day also which is handy.
"Ibis Bristol- convenient but basic"
Clean room, but not the two single beds as booked. A double bed and a pullout. My son was not impressed! Bathroom basic, but clean, though adequate privacy when using the toilet it offers not. Hotel is very conveniently located, near the Explore@Bristol, the wonderful harbour side and close to shops and theatres.
"Basic"
Very basic hotel but in a very good location. The bed was so uncomfortable I barely slept and the single duvet was a true single with badly fitting covers. The bathroom was clean but in a kind of "pod" slotted into the room with walls so thin! Tje staff were good, although we were refused breakfast at 9.54 because they shut at 10 (no notice of this […] up so we didn't know) I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it. But I must say for me the location was good, mind you just a hope skip away from a Radisson Blu! Read more
"Ibis - Bristol Central"
The setting for the Ibis Bristol Central is something of a concrete jungle with all the concrete and glass that makes up this part of the waterside area of Bristol. The hotel reception were helpful and friendly when I checked in late on a Friday night. My room was basic but had TV, phone and kettle, but why the manky brown carpet that looked dirty, […] but probably wasn't, it was just a weird choice of colour. Fortunately I had earplugs as the noise from late-night revellers went on til the early hours on the Friday and Saturday nights. As a female travelling on my own I felt safe walking in the area at night. It was also a central and convenient location. I would probably go again as it's plusses out-numbered the minuses. Read more

"Nothing fancy but right in the thick of it"
It's a nice clean hotel close to Clifton and the town center so as for location it's ideal. The hotel it's self is good enough, clean and has everything you expect.
Good location, breakfast ok. Helpful staff. Beds hard and a little uncomfortable so an extended stay mightnt be the best
"Ibis hotel Bristol - Car parking is extra"
I'd come again to this hotel but I wouldn't bring a car.
"Excellent"
Excellent Location. Discounted parking offered.
What is it they say, "location, location, location" excellent
"Good Hotel"

"Ibis Bristol Centre"
I was looking for a Hotel that was in a central location walking distance to sights, bars and restaurants. I also did not want to pay too much and I had an idea with this hotel it would be basic but that’s all we needed. It is very close to a few lively spots and we had a few stags and hens knocking about so it was a little noise at times and the hotel […] rooms are not too sound proof. I found the staff very helpful and accommodating. We used this location as a hub. As we had a car rented we used a local car park that had a discount and the rate was up to £12.50 for 24 hours. From this location we drove to Cardiff, Bath, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Tintagel Cornwall so it was a great hub to branch out from. This is a basic hotel that did not cost too much. It was clean and did the trick. Read more

"Memory problems"
I'm sure this was a lovely hotel, the problem is I can't remember much about my weekend in Bristol as I'm afraid I spent most of it an advanced state of refreshment. Toodle-pip!
"Ibis Bristol"
At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. This was ideal for a girls night away. Near to shops and pubs and clubs right on the doorstep. Bed rock hard and not enough plug sockets! But if it's a cheap, no frills hotel in the middle of all the action you are after, then it's fine.
"Ibis"
A bit expensive for students to stay in, but very very central, saved a lot of money off travelling costs so it was worth it. Good clubbing and attrations within walking distance. Reception very helpful. Didnt have any problems at all.
"Nice Budget Hotel - Good Location"
A good new budget hotel within 10 minutes walking distance of the city centre and about 15 minutes walking distance of the main shopping centre. The only problems was that the toilet door was incredibly stiff and difficult to open but other than that it was acceptable for the 1 night we stayed there.

"Ibis in central Bristol"
This was the only Hotel available on the date in Bristol due to the Ryder Cup. I paid a ridiculously high price which was a rip off due to the golf, luckily I was on business so can claim back. How you can call yourself a budget hotel and charge that amount for a night, you should be ashamed. Luckily I have found a better hotel for next week for less […] per night overlooking the fabulous gorge Read more
"Ibis Bristol"
Lovely staff and hotel, location quite centralized, nearer train station than coach station. Street was wrong. did not have breafast or dinner so cannot comment. Storage available if you arrive before check in or still stopping in City after check out which is a big plus for me. No herbal tea provided. 1 min away from a number of eating drinking places big […] screen and number of children activites - explore musuem, canel boat rides. Actually thinking back and taking previous visits into consideration good location. Read more
"Ibis hotel Bristol"
Very convenient location to harbourside, nice area with bars and restaurants. Only downside was the bed, a 4 inch thick mattress on a sheet of plywood! very creaky and not the most comfortable. Apart from that, i would recommend.
"Standard budget hotel with great location!"
The Ibis is extremely well located right next to many restaurants, the floating harbour, SS Great Britain and the science museum. The room is small and basic but sufficient for a short break when we went out and only came back to go to bed. Wireless internet is available but with a surcharge.
"Arrêt bus, centre, mer"
Personnel très sympa, déjeuner plus c.hère que d'autre hôtel mais bien complet. Dommage faut payer me wlan.

Gut gelegenes Hotel. Komfort hält sich in Grenzen. Umgebung etwas laut aber sonst gut. Sehr gutes Frühstück.
"Cheap service and attitude"
Nice looking hotel, conveniant location but it is like the Ryan Air of hotels. Internet and TV? Give us a 10 pounds please. Upon asking for more beans for breakfast, they say they dont want to open another can. My phone broke down and asking they if I could use the phone in the lobby. No sir, they send me half a mile thru the rain to find a phonebox. […] They are greedy and unpleasant, but with a smile. Coming back? Dont think so. Read more
"Situation exceptionnelle"
A proximité du centre de la ville (juste en face de @Bristol), un prix non excessif, un bon service. :-) Quoi demander davantage ?
