Overall, had a good stay. The cleanliness of hotel was very good. Good Continental Breakfast. The front desk staff person at check-in (in the evening at 5pm and at night) was very difficult to locate. The young gentleman was nowhere to be found. We stood around in the lobby for almost 30 minutes just to check-in!

This hotel is situated in the upscale Chinatown district of Monterey Park, CA. There are many first rate chinese and other Asian restaurants to choose from. The Comfort Inn was clean and comfortable. For the most part it is an excellent Hotel for the price. It was difficult to get something done. exp. The room micro wave did not work and it took two days to get it replaced, the desk guy was not authorized to replace it that night, The desk was notified the next morning as a reminder and the micro wave was still not replaced that nite. Had to raise […] a fuss before it was replaced on the third day. Check out was a hassel as the clerk did not know how to charge back an advanced payed for day. The picture on hotels.com is deceiving. This hotel is tiny! There is no real lobby, no gym, and the area is somewhat sketchy. On booking we were told we would be provided with a roll away bed. The room: gym sock semell, furniture old. The bed was not fresh.Came back 5:30 PM, no service to the room the towels had been taken but not replaced, the window had been left wide open. I'm a woman traveling alone the neighborhood is kind of sketchy.The front desk clerk informed me that the housekeeper (they only have one for the entire hotel) didn't […] have a chance to finish my room because too many other people had checked out. When I asked for the housekeeper to come back to complete my room it was explained to me that the towels were still washing and the sheets were still washing and that they had no additional sets other than the ones that were in the rooms. After an hour and a half THE housekeeper finished the room. The complimentary breakfast, couldn't eat in the dining area there was only three tables. There was no pantry area to grab bottles of water or microwavable dinners you had to go down to the basement to the vending machines. This hotel was just ridiculous. Arrived early (10 AM) front desk person was very accomdating letting me check in early. Asked if I needed any directions. Alway spoke to me when I came or went, asking if there was anything I might need. Very clean room and hotel was very quite at all times. Will book again for my next trip in June.

I stayed here because it's close to Alhambra where my grandfather lives and this hotel has been good to us in the past so we continue to stay here. It's nothing special at all and it's cheap to stay here so I have no complaints. I would recommend for people who need to stay here one or two nights. I checked in late also so I had to stay in room 102 […] which is right in the lobby. I didn't hear much noise until the morning when people starting getting breakfast and checking out but I wouldn't recommend staying in this room if you have a choice. Read more

The room was small but clean and there are a lot of nice restuarants in the area but the night hotel clerk was not very friendly or helpful. We asked for directions and she pointed us to the computer but failed to give us the password. Then she wouldn't print the directions for us.
