"Close to train station"
It was most enjoyable; breakfast was very good and the B&B was quite comfortable and beautiful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very very nice place to stay at. Convenient location to the train line connecting you to many places. The staff (Frank and his wife) were VERY helpful in directing me to where I needed to be. Breakfast was fitting and helped me fuel for each day that lay ahead of me. I will be returning to Italy very soon and I would recommend staying here!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Relais Francesca - a good option near Sorrento"
We had a nice stay at this hotel - a very short walk to the circumvesuviana train that serves Pompei and Naples - this is totally the way to go. The staff were awesome, extremely helpful. Our room was very small for our family of four, but it worked. Breakfast was good too. And it's a great jump off point for the drive to Positano, Amalfi and Atren […] i. "Friendly hotel, excellent service. A little noisy."
Very comfortable rooms, good breakfast and extremely helpful service from staff. Location good, close to railway for easy transport within the region. The only negative was noise outside the room overnight, due largely to tiled floors so no carpet or soft furnishings to absorb the noise of other guests moving around. But perhaps we were just unlucky […] with other guests up late at night, apart from that it was great! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great friendly family run hotel"
The Relais Francesca is situated walking distance from the train station, Piano di Sorrento. This is on the line from Naples to Sorrento. It is in a lovely town that has great restaurants and good beaches.Genuine Expedia guest review
"you should be booking this"
We first booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 6. We were greeted by such a lovely young woman who proved to be incredibly helpful the whole week. The breakfast spread was delicious and the room was very comfortable with an amazing bathroom. Piano di Sorrento was a great little suberb feeling like a real Italian town. The ease of the train being […] so close made access into Sorrento simple. Look no further, book in here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Service mixed, two train stops from Sorrento"
The hotel was fine although the service and breakfast was rather mediocre. It's also worth noting that it's outside of Sorrento, so only book if you've got a car (we had a train strike one day). No restaurants etc. in the neighbourhood. Wifi is free, it's clean, we had a much appreciated balcony and it's ok value for money. The breakfast consisted of […] coffee, sugary juices, cakes, boiled egg and white bread; if you slept in, you'd face an empty buffet with no refills. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent hotel and just as the pictures show. It has nothing to do with the hotel itself but beware that there are quite a few animals in the adjoining properties and therefore the cockerels, turkeys and horses do act as a early morning alarm!! Cannot fault the staff as they go out of their way to be helpful and they are very polite. Hotel is very […] clean and well kept. Buffet breakfast is typically Mediterranean and again plentiful and varied. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very rude service"
The lady running the desk was very rude and unhelpful. She couldn't give us the time of day when my wife asked how to get to the beach. The desk was also closed very early in the day for a hotel, around 8:15 so there was no one there to answer questions or concerns about the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean, tidy and well run. No problems. Very secure / good security all round - felt a very safe place to stay. Piano Sorrento (seems a fairly affluent area of Sorrento) is a taxi/train ride (one stop) from Sorrento itself (its a bit far to walk but you could via the back roads). Piano Sorrento is more a residential neighbourhood, than a tourist location, […] there are restaurants though and Relais Francesca is very near the train station (2-3 min walk), so you can use the train to get to Sorrento itself (trains did finish early in the evening in April during my stay). This hotel is better as a basis for seeing the surrounding area (amalfi coast) by car during the day, then using it as just a place to sleep - as you can park easily (unlike Sorrento itself where parking is a pain and expensive). The room I had was a self-contained annex on the ground floor, so no views as such but large - clean, tidy and felt private, with a nice bathroom and powerful shower. Good for the price paid. Everything about this hotel was fantastic. We had a late checkin and early checkout which was all smooth. Breakfast buffet was excellent, good variety. Hotel was quiet and private and very secure. Oranges growing abundantly in the courtyard which we were allowed to pick! No English TV available. Easy walk with luggage from train station and easy to […] find. "Well located to train"
The room was extremely clean, particulalry the bathroom. The breakfast was fairly basic, did the job - the only real disappointment was that the coffee was pretty average. There didn't ever seem to be anyone at reception as with normal hotels. Very close to the train station - this was very convenient (when the train actually arrived) Good value overall […] for a budget hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Quite simple but nice rooms, beds and it's clean. In the middle of Piano de Sorrento which is a bit outside Sorrento but a nice little community in itself. The small Hotel is situated fairly close to the sea and has a garden and parking. Very good value stay !Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

A B&B with adequate facilities but spoiled by the lack of care for many things. Non era multo buona. The toilet seat not attached properly, the fridge shut in a cupboard acting as a heater, the cupboards chipped and worn, the verandah chairs that left colour on the clothes. The breakfast was simple but some of it was from previous days. The welcome was acceptable but far from warm. Christina who had helped others is only there in the afternoons. Welcome very unlike the rest of Italy . Perche e andato cosi? Siamo stati la per sette giorni ma si vedi le gente resta per solo due giorni.
"Beautiful BnB - cold A/C - good wifi - decent location - good breakfast"

The room was clean and average size. 2 twins and one bunk bed. Decent wifi. Walk to the metro - 5 mins - to take train to Sorrento. Walk to the Piano's piazza - 10mins. Breakfast is decent - coffee espresso cappuccino made to order. Unfortunately had noisy neighbors who were sitting in balcony till 5am and laughing out loud and chatting very loud.

My family stayed here for 8 nights and had a good experience. We needed a place with an elevator since my father could not navigate steps. The staff was friendly and helpful. My father was ill one day and Christina took the time to make him some tea. The breakfast was simple but good as were the accommodations. We were given a key fob and were able to enter after hours with no problem. The office and elevator close about 9p.m. So if you are using a walker or wheelchair just know it will not be accessible. My father was able to navigate the steps into the building one night after hours. Relais Francesca is close to the train station and away for the tourist Sorrento. I would recommend staying here instead of in Sorrento.
"An absolutely terrible experience!"

This bed and breakfast was terribly disappointing! Besides being very unclean, we found ants in our bed, on the floor and crawling along the bathroom walls. We also came across dirty towels and sheets. More disappointing was the owner couldn't care less. The location is not so great either. Plenty of other bed and breakfasts in the area offering better accommodations for the same money.
"Nice little place"

This B&B is a 5 min walk from the Piano Sorrento metro station which connects Sorrento to Naples. It is in a very quiet area and there is nothing much around. We arrived at about 9:30 PM for check in and there was nobody at the front desk. We made a phone call to the guy that owns the place and he got there in 10 mins. We were quickly checked-in. The room was comfortable but a bit small because we had two large suite cases. The pillows were too hard for our liking. The breakfast was just about okay. But taking into account the price and convenience, it was a pretty good stay.
"Excellent, Friendly home from home"

Lovelly Hotel. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more informative. Short easy walk to the station which takes you the very short ride to Sorrento. Enclosed parking in the hotel means you feel safe at leaving your car/bike. Lift to spacious airy rooms that seem to be new and spotlessly clean. Very peaceful as set in own garden. Breakfast every day with freshly made cakes on the premises. The girls on reception both speak excellent English and couldn't be more helpful. Great suggestions of places to eat and not expensive. I'll be going back.

Originally booked a B&B (also found on facebook) out past Sorrento. While the other place was "o.k." it was over hyped in our opinion so we opted to try a night at Relais Francesca. The location was better than we thought and the room was excellent!. We walked 5 minutes to the train station (piano de Sorrento) and were at the train station in downtown Sorrento in very few minutes. Able to leave our rental car behind and relax while we strolled around town. Room was spacious, clean, quiet (no barking dogs or fighting cats as previous reviews mentioned) with a sparkling private bath for only 39 euros including all taxes. Regrettably the breakfast was terrible, lukewarm coffee, old hard baked goods but at least some yogurt and juice to get us started. English speaking staff available but only during normal hours; you are on your own at night. Value for the money, fine location for commuting into Sorrento, rooms clean and spacious and much better than other places we stayed at in Italy..
"Pretty and quaint"
03/26/13 Olivia M Newcastle, Australia
The rooms are big and are pretty colours. Tiles on the floor, carpet would be better. The shower head broke and they fixed it which was good. Could not ring on the phones outside the hotel so could not ring home whilst we were there. The Internet didn't work in our room only in the hallway. The reception lady was lovely but couldn't speak much English so communicating with her was difficult. There was no fruit at breakfast time mainly sweets, so e fruit would have been nice. The place itself is lovely but the staff were not as hospitable as they could have been. The location is ok nearby train station I would prob stay closer to sorrento next time.

3 of us stayed here for a week all other guests only for 2-3 days. The hotel was lovely in a beautiful spot among orange and lemon groves. Our room had balcony looking towards mountains with no other house within view. However the man on reception ?owner/manager was so rude the entire time we were there he only spoke when we arrived and on the last day to ask for the local tax.We spent the last day in the reception as we were not collected until 5.30pm and the weather was not too good.He totally ignored us did not ask if we had enjoyed our stay which considering we had been there the longest seemed rude.We did not let this spoil our stay as the place itself is lovely
"Spotless and comfortable"

This is a superb B&B very clean and reasonably located. There are places in Piano to eat, and the station is 400m away giving easy access to Sorrento, Pompei, Vesuvius and beyond to Naples. Parking is a major bonus in the peninsular area. The breakfast is a classic Italian with sweet pastries, croissants, cold meats, cheese, tomatoes, boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurt, honey, jams and so on. A word of warning; when an item runs out, there is no replenishment. If you want a full choice, don't be too late!
