My room on the 10 th floor was large, spacious, and had a great view and a balcony. At night is was beautiful. The hotel is minutes away from everything, and if you prefer to take a bus they were readily available. The hotel is Art Deco and beautiful for having breakfast or happy hour. I would return there for sure!

We loved this hotel. It is very nice. The only negatives we noticed were the noise in the hallways made it difficult to sleep. Sounded like people were standing next to the bed talking and the doors SLAM when you go in and out of your room. The second thing is there is no restaurant or bar in this hotel so no room service either. They do have the breakfast, […] but that ends at 9 am and we are on vacation and are not up that early! And the evening beverage and food but that didn't really fit into our schedule. That is probably the only reason I would say that we may not stay here again. The Drury Plaza was a great stay in SA, close to everything and the nicest staff I've experienced in any hotel in years. The building may be historic,mbutnthe rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Our stay was really great fun. Myself and visiting stepdaughters from England thoroughly enjoyed our overnight at the Drury Plaza in San Antonio. The hotel is well located to Riverwalk with immediate access to the Walk. We were checked in by agreeable/professional staff and told about the really incredible "Kick Back" snacks and drinks event that was […] to begin shortly after our arrival. Our rooms were ready for check-in and quite clean and welcoming. My only complaint was that the room was terribly chilly and I was unable to regulate the room temperature. Texas has been experiencing a very unusual cold snap which made the room that much colder. Additional bedding was not available in the room. I will visit San Antonio again and will likely stay at the Drury Plaza. Read more

The only complaint I have is that we had to wait 3 hrs after the check-in time in order to get our rooms. The staff was not as accommodating as I experienced when we stayed there at a previous visit. I wasn't very happy with the front desk staff. But the hotel was good and it is a great location on the riverwalk.

Our initial room we were assigned was not ready despite us not checking in until 4 hours after the posted check in time of 3pm. However, Lindsey at the front desk, immediately upgraded us to a King suite on the 21st floor. The room was well laid out, had 5 pillows on the bed along with two more in the closet with additional blankets and comforter for […] chilly nights. Breakfast is a nice hot buffet style with pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, and many cold items also. The evening kickback took the place of a couple of dinners during our stay. While the kickback food is not a meal from a restaurant it offers chicken tenders, salad, mac and cheese, one night even had meatballs and baked ziti. The only reason we did not give the hotel a 5 star was that I noticed the hallway floors could have been kept up better (a 5 night/6day stay) it appeared someone spilled soda and it was never cleaned. Also, while our bath towels were cleaned out the floor was not cleaned up for two days (know this because my husband's shoes dragged in dirt and left imprints for two days). I will say every staff member that we met always asked how things were and if they could help. This hotel is right on the riverwalk, only a few blocks from the Alamo, Hemisfair Park, El Mercado, La Villita. Two thumbs up for San Antonio and the public transportation system. Even visiting Sea World, Botanical Gardens, the Zoo etc never bothered with a car rental as public transport cheap and easy to master. Read more

We stayed here over Chrismas on family vacation. Excellent location, and staff was very nice. The hot breakfast buffet and the Managers Kickback in the afternoon was great! Lots of variety of foods and saved a ton of money! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Drury Plaza for 2 nights. The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. Buffet breakfast was very good but very crowded. It was hard to find a place to sit so go early. We did not eat at the 5:30 kick back but the food looked like it was pretty good and it seemed very popular. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was our room layout. […] We were in the San Fernando Tower. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the layout of the room was somewhat strange. The bathroom and bedroom were near the entrance but the living area/balcony was down a hallway and was not easily accessible from the bedroom. It was ok but just seemed somehow disconnected from the rest of the room. I don't know if the other rooms are the same way or just ours but I would request the other tower in the hotel if we were to stay here again. Also, it was quite a hike to the room and we had to use 2 separate elevators. I was very pleased with the maintenance dept. Our heat was not working when we arrived, and someone was at our door to fix the problem within 10 minutes of calling. They fixed the heat and we had no other problems during our stay. Access to the Riverwalk was easy and it was just a short walk to restaurants/attractions. If you are looking for super romantic or special amenities (like robes), this is not the place to go. But if you are looking for a clean, affordable place right on the Riverwalk, this place is a good choice. Read more

We has a terrible experience at the Drury Inn. We arrived at 6:00pm and were informed that we would have to wait for a room, as there were no rooms clean and available. We had a 45 minute wait until we were called and informed it was finally ready. Our room was a crisp 61 degrees upon entering. We turned the heat up to 80 degrees, yet suffered through […] the night as the temperature never rose. We were sent a message by the front desk past midnight, which triggered a red flashing light on both of the room's telephones that lit up the entire room. We were rudely awoken before 9am by banging on the door and the twisting of our door handle (the person who did so was no where to be found upon opening the door). The front desk staff was rude and unwilling to help or even attempt to right any wrongdoings. Do not choose to stay at this hotel unless you're wanting to wait, be cold, and experience terrible service. Read more

Fabulous old art deco bank lobby turned into hotel lobby! The renovation and conversion to a hotel was well done. Convenient location close to Riverwalk. The staff were all very courteous, attentive and welcoming, especially at the evening Kickback and at breakfast. The mattress was a little soft for my tastes, but everything else was excellent.

Great experience overall, you actually get that feeling you know it was worth investing your money there. great service, love the kick out time!! ( free refreshments from 5 to 7 pm ) truly a great buffet for breakfast, just don't understand, if the parking is theirs why do you still have to be charge over $20.. but over all is a great stay.

We stayed at the Drury for a week and enjoyed it immensely. Staff were helpful & friendly. Location is optimal to walk to all the tourist attractions or catch the city bus or a taxi with ease. Guests can eat a full breakfast, evening meal, and have drinks everyday for free. This was our 2nd stay at this hotel and would stay there again!
