nice hotel..........six blocks from entrance to IU campus........the one thing I do wish is that they would offfer an included breakfast like Comfort Suites does.....Breakfast for four people will cost you $50.00 plus tip.......other than that..........a nice place to stay.

My only problem with this hotel is that I requested a handicapped accisible room through expedia and that message was not relayed to the hotel. Not sure if that is expedias fault or the hotel but the communication link needs to be fixed.

The parking situation was bad. We had to park on the fourth level of the parking garage. The elevator was out of service, so we had to carry our bags down to level one. Then take the hotel elevator up one level to the lobby. It also would have been nice to have access to the parking garage from each floor of the hotel.

This is a solid hotel but not worth the money if you're staying there during an event at IU. They mark up the room rates higher then, so it's worth the money to stay somewhere else.

Within walking distance of restaurants, pubs and music venues that downtown B'town has to offer. Hotel does seem to have paper thin soundproofing. We didn't have noisy guests...but could hear anything that happened in hall or on street. Probably partly due to no white noise from HVAC ..was so mild out we never had to use it. Nice place.

Everything was wonderful, except the room was noisy. I was on the third floor and listened to people partying past midnight, then at 3:00 am came the LEAF BLOWERS outside, then at 5:00 came the garbage trucks. The room was nice, the people were great but the noise went on all night long.

The hotel was clean, convenient, friendly and helpful. The rooms and courtyard were comfortable and clean. I did not visit the exercise room or pool but did see individuals using. My friends and I enjoyed the Sports Bar attached to hotel and it as well was clean and friendly. My only negative comments are the hotel was pricey considering they did not […] offer 24 hours coffee service, continental breakfast, and you had to pay $5 per day for parking in the garage. However, it was nice having the garage right there so you will have to choose if the extra expense over rides the convenience! Great hotel; friendly staff - Only one suggestion for future visitors - Request a room on a higher level that does not faces the courtyard and garage. When people are in the courtyard, the sound carries to the 3rd floor and it was noisy when an event occurred there on our second night.

The hotel wasn't bad, but for the price we expected more. The worst part was that our king-sized bed dipped in the middle. The hotel isn't that old to have such poor-condition mattresses already. Also, breakfast wasn't included. Again, for that price, we expect free breakfast.

The first room we were put in had horrible odor. The beds that Hilton insisted this hotel install, choose to snooze, are very uncomfortable. The sink in the room drained very slowly and almost overflowed. The toilet did not flush properly and took several flushes to get everything down. There was limited hot water and the shower was warm at best.

Response by Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington The Garden Sleep System bedding is adjustable from firm to soft. We initially set the level of softness to a medium setting which is generally favored by most guests. However, the bed is adjustable to a firmer or softer setting by the dial on the upper portion of each side of the mattress by the pillow. I will ensure follow up with the housekeeping department to ensure that all items are in working order and odor neutral. Thank you for your comments

The hotel was very nice, excellent customer service. Excellent location convenient to shops and restaurants. Nice to have restaurant right there inside the hotel. It was 107 degrees in Bloomington when we were there so we actually spent quite a bit more time in the hotel than we would have if the weather had been a bit cooler. Just a little more attention […] to cleaning would be suggested -- coffee pot had not been emptied when we arrived, and no extra toilet paper. I will definitely stay there again. Read more

I think we chose the best hotel in Bloomington. It's only a 10 minute walk to IU and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

We came into town for the Taste of Bloomington and stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Location is EXCELLENT. It's about time downtown Bloomington had a good hotel! The only two things I would mention is that the sheets kind of have that "I've been washed so many times" feeling. They just kind of feel thin and old. Aside from the fact that housekeeping did not clean our room the second day we were there, we had a good experience at this hotel. The breakfast omelette was delicious and the service was very good. Convenient location when visiting Indiana University.

Response by Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington The covered parking garage immediately adjacent to the hotel is managed by the city of Bloomington and requires a charge. Hotel guests do receive a substantial discount at $5 per day with full in and out priveleges. To the general public the cost is $12 per day.

We had 1 night at this hotel and it was a very nice stay. The room wasn't oversized but a typical room. The only issue was this non-smoking hotel had smokers in the room the night before we stayed so it smelled of stale smoke. Thank goodness the windows opened for some air. We had to wait quite a while for attention at check-in.
