Loved our entire stay. The slopes were right outside. Everything was in walking distance. Also very dog friendly which was great.

"Perfect family ski vacation spot"
Service is fantastic, and location cannot be beat. You walk 100 yards to ski school, lift, & gondola. Concierge staff is very helpful with dinner reservations, etc.

"Great Mountain Village location."
Right off the free gondola to the town of Telluride. The other free gondola will take you directly to a grocery store. No vehicle is needed once you arrive. In fact, the hotel will pick you up at the local airports.

"Great Ski Vacation!"
This is our third stay at the Franz Klammer and we are always thrilled with the above and beyond service that we receive there. The entire staff is gracious and helpful, and do everything with a smile on their face. You just don't get that much anymore! They are not just helpful with the resources in the Lodge, but they are really knowledgeable about everything available in Telluride/Mountain Village. The rooms are always comfortable and spacious, and you just cannot beat this location. This is our first stay in winter, and the ski valet was a great service. Step off of the slopes and hand your skis off to a friendly Franz Klammer Ski Valet for storage. Walk to the slopes the next morning, and the ski valet has your skis ready for you to carry ten steps to the lift. Nothing could be easier! We had a great vacation and will definitely be back!

"The Lodge looks amazing with the long awaited makeover"

Just visited the Klammer during 4th of July week. Very busy week in Telluride. The 4th of July, The Yoga festival and the Ride Festival. Very impressed how smoothly the resort ran. 100% full and you were made to feel like you were the only guest there. Kuddo's to the whole team, everyone was so pleasant and helpful. We had a great stay. The carpets have been replaced, the rooms were all completely redone with very appealing, updated carpets, window treatments and furnishings. The halls were recarpeted, doors and trims stained to offset the blonde woods. Looks like a new place. The great room will be finished in the early fall. They really take care of this place, she does not show her age at all. Best service and staff in all of the mountain and telluride area. Thanks for making our stay so great.

The property is beautiful, situated in Mountain Village and a gondola ride away from the town and the market. The 2 bedroom condo was plenty big for our family of 4, the bathrooms are huge and luxurious, and the kitchen has everything you need. The staff is exceptional and customer service is extremely high. Before arriving, the staff helped us plan activities and make reservations for the spa, fly fishing and other adventures. We did not have housekeeping services, but the friendly housekeepers came whenever we needed to get rid of trash and recycling. The staff offered to pick us up at the market but we managed to carry our groceries on the gondola. The spa services are great and they are scattered in different locations throughout the property. The pool area is large, well furnished and very popular. There is a remote hot tub for adults so you don't have to contend with kids playing in the pool. Each morning a helpful newsletter is delivered to the condo with weather forecast, local activities, and NY Times news briefs. They love dogs. It was a real plus to get to bring our dog and they had 2 dog bowls, a dog bed and some dog treats in the condo when we arrived. Like all the businesses and other properties in Telluride, this property does not have air conditioning. We knew that when we made reservations, but we were not prepared for how hot the condo would get. Even using the black out blinds all day and the fans, the condo was 80 degrees at midnight. We ran humidifiers in all the rooms trying to cool off the rooms. We could not catch a breeze in the condo and even in the morning it was not that cool but certainly better than in the evening. We went out to eat every evening just to get out of the condo because it was only in the low 80s and quite pleasant outside. The biggest issue is that our condo overlooked a loading bay. We were awakened by deliveries for the neighboring property at midnight, and also beginning at 6:00am. This included truck headlights aimed right in our bedrooms, hissing air brakes, beeping safely alarms, workers cursing and making no effort to be quiet. We mentioned this to the staff and they were completely apologetic, and the GM said the deliveries violated the village ordinances. But night time became a dreaded and dreadful time. And it was not just the truck deliveries. This bay area also has construction dumpsters and trash bins and was a popular place for workers to smoke and have animated conversations right under our windows. One early morning workers were tossing an unbelievable number of glass bottles into recycling bins for 30 minutes. It pains me to leave these negative comments because the staff went out of their way to create a pleasant stay. But it was not a serene mountain experience and more like staying in a noisy, bustling city. If we ever return, we will work with the very competent staff to select a better condo location. And hopefully the GM has had some success in stopping the late night and early morning racket. But if you stay at this property, beware of the side facing the loading bay.

"Perfectly appointed condo in a beautiful location"

Our first time visit to Telluride was made extra special by staying here. We were in a three bedroom condo that was perfectly appointed, very clean, and so comfortable. Just steps away from the gondola and in the heart of Mountain Village shops and restaurants.

Our family has been visiting the Franz Klammer for many years. The condos have just been re-decorated, and they are both beautiful and comfortable. The kitchens first rate, and are well stocked with cooking and serving pieces. The staff is EXCELLENT, and always ready to help with recommendations. Perfect spot for vacationing, summer or winter!

"Incredible staff"

We enjoyed our short stay in the Franz Klammer Lodge. The 3 bedroom condo was nicely appointed and just the right size for our family. The beds were very comfortable, though and the rooms were spotless. The only drawback would be the lack of air conditioning and the west facing upper windows that did not have shade. I'm not particularly picky when it comes to heat, but even I got a bit uncomfortable at night with the room temperature! Even so, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The staff at the Lodge were the most friendly, helpful and genuinely kind people we've ever encountered in our travels. We did not have a single interaction with a staff member that was anything less that extremely positive. Even our kids commented on how nice and helpful everyone was. This certainly points to excellent management and staff who are well taken care of and mentored. Bravo!

The room is beautiful the amenities are nice the staff is friendly. Surprised by the $35 a night fee in addition to a $210 cleaning fee. One major drawback is that our room is so hot. No air conditioning, all the windows in the unit are open, and the master bedroom is almost 90°. Hope to be back in the winter but don't think this will be a summer destination for us.

Love it here - relaxing! Everything is perfect and we'll be back next year. It is great to be able to leave your car and take the gondola back and forth in to town. Plenty of great places to eat. Great for hiking and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

"Wonderful getaway at the Franz Klammer"

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary over five days in one of their newly renovated 2 BR units. The unit was gorgeous, the staff was exceptionally friendly and informative, and the complimentary perks including bikes, DVDs, and water bottles, were just icing on the cake. Mountain Village and Telluride are both very charming. We can't wait to visit again with our family!

"Great size place and awesome location in Telluride"

We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo the last week of the season. The rooms and the living rooms was spacious. It did not feel cramped for 7 days. Each bedroom had a large bathroom. The rooms had TVs, closets. The kitchen was well equipped with basic utensils, pots, pans and everything was clean. The location to the mountain was unbelievable. It was amazing to walk out the front of the FK and be skiing in 10 minutes, it is amazing. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

"#1 place to stay in the Telluride/Mountain Village Area!!"
04/14/15 5Starr4Me Houston
I have stayed in many Ski villages. I have been to Deere Valley, Aspen,Vail,Breck,Vermont, Heavenly and Canada. We keep coming back to Telluride/Mountain Village to stay at the Klammer, as it is called. We have been coming to the area since 1995. I have stayed at the peaks, intown in homes and condos and on the mountatins in homes and other condos. NONE compare to the Klammer. They have the best location in the Village core. Shuttle to and from the airport or a ride into town. Steps from the slopes and valet if skiing or the best place to be in the summer. The Staff has been there forever, uncommon for any resort, not for the Klammer. The service is 5 star, from transportation, valet, bell service, the Himmel Spa, and the concierges service, wow, they don't know how to say no! Whatever you need, they have it or will get it. Very kid friendly, dog friendly and just plain friendly. The 2 and 3 bedroom full kitchen , 2 and 3 bath rooms with big screens and elctronics to boot. Fast internet service. Weekly recptions with the GM. All management is on sight daily. Very comfy beds. The Lodge is currently going through a refresh that you will see and should be completed this year. All I can say is we keep coming back winter and summer and its the only place we care to stay.
