"Wicker Park Inn"
The Hotel is considered a Urban Bed and Breakfast. It was very nice with a full size refrigerator. There are a few steps. One step down into the kitchen and 2 into the bathroom. May be hard for older people or little kids. Walking distance to Walgreens, 7-11 and lots of restaurants and bars. Free parking on the street (most hotels in Chicago charge […] between $30 and $55 per night for parking.) Continental breakfast in the morning was pretty good and free also. The Hotel manager was very accommodating. For being a very old building it had a newer clean feeling inside. The area around is the city but it felt pretty safe. "Gracious space and staff"
This is a wonderful little inn that draws on the European tradition of offering gracious, yet simple, accommodations with comfort and friendliness. It has everythinga traveler needs, and none of the overdone "8 pillows on the bed" nonsense that I hate about major chains. It's located in an up-and-coming Chicago neighborhood. It's close to the El station […] and lots of nice local restaurants and taverns. I very much enjoyed my stay, and I plan to return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very welcoming staff! Had a nice spread for breakfast as well! Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Wicker Park!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very happy and well pleased wit the Garden Room i stayed in. It was very clean and well maintained, the location was perfect and plenty of restaurants and things to do in walking distance. It was so well maintained it was like being at home or a cottage in the middle of the city. It was also very feel wit different cultures and seemed to be safe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute place to stay"
I loved everything about our room. We had the Chicago suite and were completely happy with our stay. Kitchen has snacks 24/7 free of charge and an amazing breakfast with delicious fresh fruit and pastries. Feels like you are at someone's home NOT a hotel! Only down side was the train but... Hey that's part of the city experience!Genuine Expedia guest review
Short and sweet. Included continental breakfast was wonderful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good place to stay if you are not looking for fancy hotel facilities . This is a b&b with very basic facilities. I stayed at the garden apartment which was in the basement. Need management to pay some attention to small things. .for example, the iron board...The cover is coming off and need to be fixed....same with shower mat. I liked the fact that […] they give parking permit which is really nice. Particularly in Chicago city. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wicker park Inn stay"
Great little place. They said they would come out and fix the tv that wasn't working the first night. Never heard anymore about that. Partially used shower toiletries left on the window sill from previous tenants. Super nice staff and price was great. Would definitely stay again. The place was very clean. We found the room to be well decorated with good features. However, it is so close to the EL (elevated train), that you are continually hearing a train coming from one direction or the other. That goes on 24 hours a day! There is no heating or cooling control in the room. Parking is on the street, with a sticker in the window to avoid a ticket. Luckily, […] we were able to find a spot nearby; otherwise we'd have had to park quite a distance, with our car out of sight. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Wicker Park Inn was adorable. The room was great (clean, well furnished, good tv/internet). The Inn provides a nice continental breakfast. The surrounding neighborhood was very cute (lots of shops and a few restaurants). It's probably best to stay here if you have a car or if you are staying in the warmer months (or if you're a fan of walking in the […] cold weather). I was there in mid-March when it was cold and there was plenty of snow/ice on the ground so I was not interested in exploring the area on foot. FYI- the Inn is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, so you can't hail a cab in front of the Inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice B&B. Great location"
Pleasant comfortable. Large kitchen to cook in. Easy access. Well desiged spaceGenuine Expedia guest review
Stayed in Blue Line Room.... called Blue Line because the Elevated train called the Blue Line is only a few steps from the room... Train noise was crazy bad.... Otherwise it was great =)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Located in a very neat and clean neighborhood. Friendly service and a great breakfast!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed in the Blue Line Room, had no problems. If you are a light sleeper, this would not be a good choice as it backs up to the train. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful, this however would not be the place to stay if you are needy or demanding. We will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything was great but the noise at night...."
Very professionally run, friendly inn in a great neighborhood. The only thing I wished I'd known is how close to the El my room was as the noise of the passing trains took a while to get used to at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"B and B"
I loved this urban B and B. it was the perfect location. Beautiful and clean. The king size bed was so comfortable and it was great to get a sticker for free street side parking. The breakfast was delicious and staff so helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Definite Do Over!!!"
Very nice and quaint little B&B. Very clean overall, and the breakfast was fantastic. The manager, Robin, was so helpful with all of our needs. She was always available to answer questions, and if she didn't know the answer, she would research it to find out. The Blue Line runs right behind the building, but it didn't keep us awake. We were so impressed, […] we will be back!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The breakfast was good and convenient. The only problem we had was an air bed that deflated during the night. We told the maid, who said she would report it, but it did not get fixed the second night. It was a weekend, and we did not know how to reach anyone else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Cute & in a great Neighborhood"
This is a nice quaint little B & B right outside of Downtown Chicago. Perfect for what we needed. We were on a business trip and the starting location could not have been better. Only a slight wait for someone to let us into the hotel. Totally understandable since we booked about an hour before arriving. This is check in by appointment so just make […] sure that you contact them if you are arriving late. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Train Going Through My Room"
I booked the Wicker Park Inn VERY last minute through Hotels.com. The photos on the Hotels.com website looked cute, and the review average seemed great. When I arrived at the Inn, the Inn Keeper didn't know that I had a reservation and wasn't there. Thankfully, one of the other folks staying at the Inn let us in, and we called the Inn Keeper, and she […] was really apologetic. We had dinner plans, and she came within a half an hour. She gave me the lowdown, although what she didn't let me know is that my room, the Chicago Room, backed to the train tracks. I literally felt like the train was going to come through my room, and I had a terrible night of sleep. It would have been great to have received earplugs, or at least a warning. I do expect some noise, but the level received was over the top. After digging through more of the reviews, this is mentioned, although it wasn't pointed out on the Hotels.com site. Other rooms were probably just fine, and I'd definitely rent there again, just make sure to bring earplugs, a sleeping pill, and book another room. I was really disappointed. I think that this Inn is particularly special, I enjoyed my time there. Everything you are looking for is not only available, but also in high quality. Most important is the cleanliness and the nice smell of the place, the very friendly hospitable staff, and other facilities that were available (microwave, internet, parking, etc). I went to smoke in […] the middle of the night, and sort of locked myself out, so I called the manager Ms. Lora and she was extremely helpful and understanding. There was a book in my room for the different things that you need in Chicago, like restaurant, Taxi phone numbers, and a review of landmarks in Chicago. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Staff was very helpful in arranging transportation using the Internet to print out maps. Lots of choices for breakfast. I'm not sure whether the keys were correctly labeled - one for room and one for deadbolt lock. Anyway I was able to master the whole key concept!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful B&B in Wicker Park"
Lovely B&B. Upgraded to bigger room. Great hospitality. Free Parking pass and lovely location.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not a great setup for a business traveler, but is a good choice for a play trip to Chicago---near the blue line, in an interesting neighborhood, good breakfast. After all, it is a B&B and is true to its billing. The city was sold out or I would not have made this choice in the first instance. Some of the "directions" in the room were odd (good notebook […] in room with information, but...), e.g., use of disposable face cloths for makeup to avoid staining washcloths?! No woman I know will use product on her face that isn't familiar to her and poses a risk of adverse reaction on her face--seems a bit presumptive and a little too directive even for the more homey feel of a B&B. "Great escape from the business trip"
Nice room/kitchen combination. The room was at the back end of the building with a seperate entrance. The blue line of the el runs just behind the building but it is not a distraction. "Great stay at this B&B"
This was our first time at the Wicker Park Inn. Can't say enough about the owners. We had a very late arrival - 2 AM. They provided us our key in lock box. This worked great. Stayed in the Blue Line Studio. It was very warm and humid outside but A/C was on and the room was very comfortable for sleeping. The sound of the Blue Line was very minimal. No […] problem with finding a parking spot. Our only issue was that our car's navigational system had a hard time getting us to Wicker Park Lane. Got us close enough tho. We will definitely be back. "lovely little place!"
This place was lovely. I stayed in the Chicago room and had a little balcony facing the blue line elevated train. If you think the train noise (which runs all night) will keep you up ask for a room across the street (same b&b). The noise is basically like thunder. personally I can sleep through any noise. There were nice little extras like umbrellas […] by the front door and fresh fruit and pastries in the kitchen in the morning. lots of other breakfast items too, like cereal, bagels and oatmeal, juice and yogurt. There is a Walgreens just around the corner and a few nice restaurants (try Nano Sushi). The Blue line stops nearby and there are frequent buses going down Milwaukee Ave. I had no problems whatsoever. Highly recommended! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to stay"
Our room was very comfortable; charming and homey. Really enjoyed it. Robin, the inn manager, was very helpful and friendly--great recommendations for a restaurant & two pubs. Breakfast was informal & nice--fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, lots of pastries--and available for a long time. The neighborhood is wonderful, great for walking, safe, interesting […] and pretty. Easy to come & go by CTA (subway/elevated train)--don't need a car. We really liked this inn and will definitely return, if we go to Chicago again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Even though this B&B is not downtown, it was still in a fantastic neighborhood with a lot going on. The staff was helpful even though we only saw them when we first arrived. I thought the location was great close to everything we needed to go to on our trip, example; Wrigley field, Navy Pier and Brookfield Zoo.. "Great Accomodations, Location and Staff!"

Came to town for a performance at the Double Door in Wicker Park and we were lucky to have found the Wicker Park Inn. Everything from making the reservation, to our checking, to the cleaning staff done so professionally and with true friendliness. We stayed in the 3BR apartment and found it to be very comfortable. Was easy to park on the street and the location was fantastic. Tons of great restaurants in the area and a short walk to public transport and the Double Door. Will definitely be back. Cheers and thanks... The members of Waiting For Henry.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Inn! Its location is convenient for restaurants and coffee shops, and for browsing along Milwaukee/North/Damen Avenues. The facility is cozy and very clean. Robin is friendly, helpful, accommodating, and always available. We parked right outside the Inn on this little tucked-away section of Wicker Park Ave. The continental breakfast included delicious fresh fruit and various pastries each morning. We were delighted to have found this little gem!
"Very reasonable price and wonderful room!"
02/07/15 Sue J Elgin, Illinois
We stayed at the Wicker Park Inn last Saturday and booked The Blue Line Room. It was made clear that we would hear the train while in the room, but we knew it would not bother us and it did not. We had a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, etc. The room as a good size, the bed was comfortable and the location is fantastic. We could have walked to many restaurants, bars, etc. We were there for a celebration a few miles away and the weather was bad so we did take a cab, but it was easy to find one just a block away from the Inn. We will stay again and have been recommending it to others!

My friend and I stayed overnight for New Years Eve in the Garden Suite. This was the only option in walking distance that wasn't a hostel that looked like it would be safe and comfortable. Overall, we were very pleased with the stay...the room was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware one could hope for, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. There were only a few things that keep this from being 5 stars. 1. The room is a half-basement. The doorway is behind the stairs and the motion detector for the entry is aimed right at the stairs. This is fine for coming IN, but going out whenever we locked up (even in daytime) we had to use a flashlight app on our phone to see the locks. 2. The door was not properly insulated and hung a little loosely. This allowed a lot of noise and cold air to come in, even with both locks locked. Without the deadbolt engaged, the regular doorknob closure was questionable; if a draft had come from the right (wrong?) direction, I am not confident the door would stay closed.
"Beautiful, cozy experience!"

The Inn is located right in the heart of Wicker Park so you can walk to virtually everything. It's a very trendy, artsy area with lots of shops and restaurants. The Inn was so quaint! All the facilities seemed remodeled so it was beautiful and very warm for the cold January weather. We stayed in the Cape Cod room and had a great view of the street. Breakfast was also delicious; fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, bagels, juice, tea and coffee. You could hear the El train go by every so often but I'm a light sleeper and didn't have any problems at night. About 4-5 stops to downtown Chicago on the El and 10 minutes walking from the Inn to the nearest station. Can't wait to go back and explore in the summer!
"Perfect place for us!"
Walking distance from everything we needed and everyone we wanted to visit. Friendly, comfortable neighborhood and helpful, accessible friendly staff. A lovely retreat. Always fresh hot coffee and tempting breakfast treats, including delicious fresh fruit. The staff was particularly accommodating about caring for our belongings until the evening of our departure.
"Nice place, close to family"

We've always stayed in downtown Chicago when visiting our son, but this quick trip, we wanted to be closer to his neighborhood and do some exploring. Michigan Ave isn't necessarily our cup of tea. I found the Wicker Park Inn online, and booked largely because of reviews and a Groupon. We couldn't have been happier with our Garden Apartment, and next time we will stay more than just one night.
"Two Night Stay at Wicker Park"
12/10/14 Richland34 Ballwin, Missouri
After staying 4 nights in The City over Thanksgiving, I found that I needed to stay two more nights for business. Unfortunately, a radiology convention had caused a HUGE surge in occupancy and left the very scarce inventory at $400+. And that was for a 2-3* room. So, I had to be resourceful and look for other alternatives which is how I found Wicker Park. We'd never spent time in this part of town so it was new for us. Spent much of the time in the room working the first day and in meetings the second day. Can't say much about the neighborhood, but I can say that the room was very good. Nice clean bathroom with good shower. I really liked the way they served their lite breakfast. Serve yourself after the food is put out by the site manager. Staff was friendly and helpful but not intrusive.
"Great little place to stay. Perfect for our needs."

Myself and a co-worker stayed in a multi-bedroom rental at Wicker Park. The staff was professional, the rooms clean, and it was nice to have a real "home" feel instead of just another hotel. The area was nice as well.
"Refuge from regular resorts"

We stayed one night after the Thanksgiving holiday and highly recommend this unassuming brick building in Wicker Park! The Wicker Park Room was surprisingly spacious, the bed was perfect, and the fireplace was the crowning jewel. The weather outside was frightful, especially for us Southerners, but the fireplace saved our frozen souls! The innkeeper was super helpful with dinner and bar options, and the location was perfect for a decompressing from our 3 night stay in the middle of downtown. After the hubub of Chicago on turkey day, Wicker Park & Milwaukee Ave were a funky dream we hated to wake from...
