Good place for us to stay as it was close to our son, who lives in the area. A quiet street (hard to find in Chicago!), but we stayed in the Garden Suite, which was a below ground level room. We had loud neighbors above us, with a constant background of shoe noise. Seems like they never sat down! All in all though, a good place to stay.
"Listening to the Rain"

Was excited about staying at this B and B. We arrived and was greeted by a wonderful hostess that had explained everything about the room and some great places to visit. We had stayed in the room called "Blue Line" room. yes it was right next to the blue-line rail, but it was actually a great sound. We drifted off to sleep while listening to it roaring by. As well as the radio that had some great sounds of the rainfall both of these combined made a awesome stay. The room was clean, comfortable and well kept up. The bathroom was spotless and floors clean. I do admit the bed was so comfortable that me and my wife didn't want get up. A lot of great shops that are close by and many places to visit and photograph. I walked around and fond so many new places. If your in the area and looking fr a quiet relaxed place a bit away from the hustle and bustle of life. This place is where you need to go hang out. We will make another trip here and staying in a different room just to check it out.
"A vibrant area"

We enjoyed our three night stay at Wicker Park. This establishment is in a very quiet, tree lined street with parking right out front. A sticker was required to be place in the car window each day. Plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants, a Walgreens and supermarket just a five minute walk away. Our room (the Cape Cod ) was overlooking the street, very clean and comfortable. The train runs along the back of the establishment but we didn't hear it at all. There was no hot breakfast however there was more than ample fresh cut fruit, a range of cereals, pastries, toasts etc. everything you could want. The dining area was very clean, everything fresh, plenty of tea, coffee, juice etc so you just had to serve yourself. We were able to make ourselves a hot tea before bedtime each evening. We were able to meet other guests over the breakfast table. At other Bed and Breakfast establishments we have stayed at the owner would join the guests for breakfast and pass on all required touristy information then but that was not the case here. However we really didn't find this to be a problem as the hostess who was in the office just off the breakfast dining area was on hand most of the time. . We chose to ride the train in and out of Chicago each day and this was a ten minute easy walk and about a fifteen/twenty minute train ride. Easy. We would certainly stay here again when next in Chicago. The negative about Wicker Park was the lack of bench space in the bathroom but I managed ok and the convenience of being able to leave our car right out front with easy access to the city was a plus.
"Contemporary B&B in the heart of lively area"

I was reluctant to stray from my big hotel chain loyalty but I am glad I did. I enjoyed my stay at the Wicker Park Inn and am likely to consider staying there the next time I visit Chicago. The room I had was spacious and every amenity I needed; the neighborhood was quiet with the exception of the El.

Once you stay here, you will definitely come to appreciate the serene vibe and uncomplicated privacy of the property. The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated and perfectly comfortable. The breakfast offers an excellent variety of delicious & healthy choices. The value, location and overall experience are second to none. Wicker Park: my home away from home.
"First B & B stay ever"

It was a very enjoyable stay. Room was clean and well decorated. There was occasional train noise but was almost undetectable. One small point there wasn't any counter space in bathroom. No place to set cosmetics or other necessities. No place to apply makeup. Breakfast was good with fresh pastries but no hot items. Most Comfort Inns have a better one. Other than those items Inn was very nice and would go back again. On street parking included which means a lot in Chicago. It was a good experience for my first B&B.
"Wicker Park Cool"

Wicker Park is a great area to stay in Chicago. Vibrant and fun it is full of great shops, dining and live music. So you should make the Wicker Park Inn your place to stay. In a quiet tree lined street my room (Chicago) was well appointed and very spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful with checking in and out. There is some train noise if you are a light sleeper but that is only a slight drawback as the positives are overwhelming.
"Our Go To Spot In Chicago!"

This is our second year staying at Wicker Park Inn during RiotFest and we can't imagine staying anywhere else! Clean, comfortable (the best mattress EVER) and reasonably priced. The Blue Line Room is NOT for light sleepers- as the name hints to, the Blue line L runs RIGHT past. To be honest, we didn't even notice the train after about an hour. Love having the facilities to cook our own meals and that the kitchen is stocked with the basic tools to whip up & eat breakfast/lunch or dinner. Just BYOF (bring your own food). Parking can be a bit of a pain over the weekend- my recommendation is park the car (don't forget to change your temporary permit stickers!) and use public transit. There's both a Divvy station and a #70 Division bus stop about two blocks away on Division. Not to mention the CTA stops on Milwaukee Ave. right around the corner. We ordered an Uber car on Sunday night and they were there in fewer than 5 minutes. This is our go to spot in Chicago. We LOVE it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wicker Park Inn and will definitely return in the future. Great location to restaurants and shops. it was easy to find parking in the neighborhood. Breakfast was a nice treat.
