Hotel was very impressive from the outside and also on entry into the foyer. Check-in was dealt with in a prompt efficient manner by the clerk. When we got to our room we were a bit dosappointed at the size, it was very small. It was generally cvery clean but could have done with a bit of a dusting. The toiletries were very poor - one bar of soap, no facecloth, tooth brushes etc and only one hand towel, I had to request two bath towels which were delivered to our room within the hour. Overall a pleasant stay and given the fact that there are a few good restaurants on the doorstep I would consider a return should we ever visit London again.

Location is fanatastic, litereally on the corner of Trafalgar Square with lots of restaurants, shops and bars nearby. Ideal base for exploring.

I booked this hotel purely due to its location, we were hosting our engagement party in covent garden and needed a convenient base. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel though. Check in was very easy, with automated machines distributing our room keys and the bed massive. Bathroom nice although I would have liked a bath and all the equipment is there if you are disabled. The provision of guest lockers on every floor is a brilliant idea holding blankets, pillows and ironing boards and irons. There was a very unpleasant smell in the main reception area but that might have been coming in from outside and there was nothing on our floor (3rd). Ideal base, would recommend

Lovely hotel, rooms were of a high standard although the beds were quite hard! Mineral water and ice buckets available on the hall ways were very useful. Had to ask twice for an iron but got on eventually, possible due to high demand over bank holiday weekend. Check in and out were easy and automated, was able to check in earlier than expected which was great for leaving our cases and getting out for the day. I stayed for one night and for a short business trip it's completely fine. Room service is a bit do-it-yourself (irons stored down the corridor), but it kind of works better and quicker than calling reception in most hotels. My room had no view at all (looked directly at a wall and I couldn't even see the sky), but it didn't bother me - it was quiet, fuss-free, clean, smart, had everything you need for a quick business trip and is completely central. Wouldn't recommend for a honeymoon or holiday though.

Our first impression of the hotel was amazing; the property itself is one extremely large and elegant structure. At check-in the hotel staff was very polite and very efficient. Check-in was made very easy for us. We stayed on the ninth floor which had great views of the Houses of Parliament and London Eye. The room was average size for two people, with a flat screen TV, fridge and a very efficient air conditioning system. The room had somewhat of a modern décor about it and was very clean and well taken care of by the staff. There was a problem the second day we were there with the hotel lift. My wife was unfortunate enough to have been stuck in it with five other people for about five minutes. The lifts themselves are very small and only able to carry five people with luggage. On this occasion my wife was in it with one extra person when it got stuck in between floors. The maintenance staff was called out quickly and the problem was taken care of within a short space of time. The location of the hotel is without doubt the best selling point, less than a minute walk from Trafalgar square. The area around the hotel is busy, but safe and centrally located for shopping and sightseeing. On my next visit to London I will stay at this hotel, it was reasonable for London prices and the location is ideal. I did miss not having a bar or restaurant at the hotel, but with all that is around there we really didn't miss out on anything.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, rooms a good size with good facilities. One pain was the lifts that needed you to swipe your room keycard to make work. Seemed like most people we bumped into where having trouble with this. We never once got it to work and had to rely on other guests or hotel staff each and every time we needed to get back up to the room. When the rest of the hotel is so good this lets it down a little.
