We were very nervous as we approaced the area of the hotel, having never been in that area. However, on going in, it was very clean and the room was a front room view of the sea. We were very tired from a long drive and wanted food, but the restaurant across the street was not open until 8:00 pm. It did not look great, but to our surprise the food was […] the best of our trip in price and quality. They sent us to a local grocery where we purchase some great wine and low prices. the staff was nice, but very little English. That is our fault, we should speak more Italian. The area does not look nice, but assume it is a summer resort area. We were there in March and lots of cold rainly days. There was lots of garbage out so now sure if there was a strike or just not being picked up. It was close to our business meeting, so it worked out great. Would recommend it. Read more

This hotel was our base for visiting the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, and Paestum. The room was nice and we had a walkout balcony, which was cool. The onsite restaurant is also pretty good, and I especially liked the pizzeria. This hotel also had the best breakfast of any hotel during our stay in Italy. The only negative thing I have to say is that it is a 15-20 minute commute to Salerno, but the hotel offers a free shuttle service. The hotel's private beach looked quite nice, and it was still warm when we visited in September. Unfortunately, we didn't get to visit the beach since it rained every day we had free. I'm not really sure that the relatively remote location of the hotel is a bad thing. If you're looking for a quiet, scenic getaway spot on the sea, this is perfect. Everything you need is right at the hotel, so you can just relax at the beach or pool all day, have drinks and lunch at the bar, and then have a lovely dinner in the evening. The staff was also very friendly and willing to help with organizing trips to Pompeii and Paestum. Overall this was a great hotel, but the next time we're in the Amalfi Coast, we'll probably stay somewhere in Salerno. Read more

There was a warm and embracing feeling at this family run hotel. Everything you could need was there. A bit far from the city, and shopping and restaurants, they made up for it with a shuttle service into Salerno or, as an option, a very good restaurant on the premises. Breakfast was outstanding - thevpool quite beautiful.

Great staff very helpful This hotel is not close to town but they have a shuttle with the last pick up at 8:00 pm, so you can't have dinner in town unless you return by taxi (35.E) Otherwise great little hotel . Beach is across the street, well cared for with a snack bar and full time attendant. Very Few of the staff speak English.

Once we got to the Hotel Olimpico it was very nice and clean. Hotel staff was very helpful. It was our last stop coming from the Amalfi Coast. We arrived in Salerno and needed a taxi to the hotel which was about 25 miles outside of the city. They do have a van which will take you from hotel to the city of Salerno. The breakfast was also very good.

We decided to stay in Salerno instead of some of the other larger cities near the Amalfi Coast. We are very glad we did. The service, food, amenities, and upkeep of this hotel was amazing. I know for a fact that I will be visiting again the next time I visit that part of Italy.

This is a beautiful hotel with nice people right across the street from the beach. When we were there the A/C hadn't been turned on for the summer so we had to leave the patio doors open for some cool air. (Be aware that in Italy just because they 'have' A/C doesn't mean you'll get to use it! I carefully checked for A/C in booking for our trip, but […] NONE of 3 weeks of hotels had the A/C turned on in May even though it was much warmer than usual for that time of year.) Because we had to have the patio doors open, the noise from partying, music, loud speaker and fireworks was very noticeable. You may want to check with hotel if this is just weekends or every night during summer months. Also beware of using your GPS. Ours had us lost for hours although it shouldn't be that hard to find. I would rate this a 5 had the shuttle service been a bit better. On one pick up, I only had 1/2 a seat due to too many pick ups and on another (unbelieveably) we had to go pick up a bunch of high school kids at school. The driver was only a mile or two from the hotel and could have dropped hotel guests off and then gone but instead we were forced to […] wait in a parking lot for a bunch of kids for over 45 minutes. Driving up to this hotel made us wonder if we had made a mistake booking this hotel but when we drove into the property we were pleasantly pleased. The hotel was clean, comfortable and friendly. A wonderful place to stay, the Hotel Olimpico was a beautiful oasis away from downtown Salerno. Very secure, well staffed and spotlessly clean both inside and out! As American travelers, we expected to encounter people who spoke little Englsh: we were, after all, in Italy. This was an excellent and very helpfull/friendly hotel. The entire experience was clean and charming. Opholdet på Hotel Olimpico var fint. Hotellet er flot vedligeholdt, værelset rent og pænt. Dejlig morgenbuffet med et stort udvalg af lækkerier. Shuttle til Salerno kunne bestilles, vi havde bil. Absolut et hotel vi kunne gøre brug af igen.
