Good but not great hotel. Very pretty old buildings but only fair rooms. Rooms on smaller side but clean and overall comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet and staff helpful. Probably the best choice to stay in Tiberius .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Poor overall value for the money"
This hotel is way overpriced. The pictures on the Hotels.com website are not consistent with what you actually get. Our room for 3 showed 3 separate beds on the website. We ended up with 2 beds and a couch that was too short for our 17 year old boy. The website upcharged substantially for this but when we got there we were told that the third bed upgrade […] was another substantial fee. The room was very small. I have nothing to compare this hotel to in Tiberias but the room size we received for the rate we paid is exorbitant compared to hotels we have stayed in throughout Europe and the Middle East. Also, if you are interested in actually getting into the Sea of Galilee, they have no beachfront access. The breakfast buffet was top notch. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely historic hotel and grounds are beautiful. Staff we found were mostly unhelpful, even bordering on rudeness in a couple of instances. They certainly did not put themselves out to help. Dinner and breakfast were self service....no one offered us wine or drinks. Usually hotels serve coffee etc at breakfast and offer a wine list at dinner! A nice […] pool but opening hours are kept secret. We watched from the gardens as many hopeful swimmers were turned back as the pool had closed. So mainly surly staff but nice gardens. A 5 star hotel run as if it was a hostel is how we would describe it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is truly lovely with delightful well kept gardens and a fabulous pool area. Great breakfast and best fresh mint and lemonade drink we have ever had. Upgrade to Antique rooms if you can. They have character rather than the generic bland rooms in the new building. Tiberius is very tired but the surrounding countryside is beautifulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Bar closes early. Close to the promenade which is very nice. Spectacular views. Adjacent spa very average but has nice artwork. Bought a painting. For those room rates (some of the most expensive in Tiberias). internet access should be included without a ridiculous complicated user name/password that must be hand delivered to your room. The extra charge […] for that service is insulting and should be deleted. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful gardens and great food"
Despite a somewhat non-friendly welcome by the young and not very professional receptionists, we enjoyed our stay at SCott's Hotel. The garden is beautiful, and we tried the evening buffet, which was excellent. Also, great pool and spa area. With a bette service attitude, this could be a very good place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely hotel but little things spoil it"
The hotel is very well finished, ideal for a quiet break in peaceful Galilee. Food is excellent but service was poor for the money we paid ($450 per night for standard (unique) room). Most waiting staff spoke very little English (didn't know spoon, tap water etc) which made things tricky! $70 each for evening buffet meal but coffee was then extra! Not […] quite what we expected for the money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Definently a nice experience."
After a week with 4 different hotels, this was amazing. Right from the receival in the reception during check-in to the attentive waiter in the restaurant. The service was amazing, the food was high quality with an eye for details and the surroundings was beautiful and comfortable. We will definitely recommend this hotel for the future. The price of […] our stay matched the level of the hotel, especially when compared with other hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel interessante com comida péssima"
O hotel é bonito, bem localizado, mas o buffet do jantar além de ser caríssimo, a qualidade da comida é abaixo da critica.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"beautiful old style hotel"
Beautiful hotel, very comfortable, great service, great food. I had a suite in the old "Doctors House" which was very nice. I can very much suggest to tahe the buffet dinner there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Historische plek in Tiberias"
"True to their slogan - a unique hotel"

Set in the 19th century structure that was originally a Scotish Church hospital, overlooking the Sea of Gualilee, this hotel is really special. The rich and interesting history of the place (which you can learn about on their daily tours) is evident in every aspect. The rooms in the "antique" part are spacious and beautifully appointed. There are large public areas which guests can enjoy. The restaurant, Torrance, named after the founder of the hospital, offers a rich and tasty buffet. There is a wine cellar that offers wine tasting events, a large outdoor pool and a wonderful spa. A must try!

A historic building converted into a lovely hotel - simply a dream! Bellboys and reception staff are a class in their own. Rooms are up to the standard in this price category, but the dinner and breakfast buffet are a unique experience. Selection and quality are superior, it is hard to withstand these food temptations.

We had a lovely weekend 2 years ago at the hotel as a couple , this time, at the end of august we spent 4 nights as family, with a five years boy and 10 months baby girl.hough board, unique room. Although the place is not a children's fan hotel the vocation was perfect. Room is clean and good, also enough room though we added a crib . Food is delicious , above any hotel in Tiberius, not made for children's but again if you ask they will have a child dish for you with no problem. We were a bit worried before arriving with a child and baby but the amenities, as the facilities and staff were child friendly. They have no special activities for children's but the garden , pool and privet beach are enough if you ask me. The hotel is not comparable to any other in the city, it's above any of them and the only option to enjoy the kineret - sea of galil in a quite and elegant way. Unlike most hotels in Israel worth the money you pay.

This hotel combines great facilities and ambience with a very special history. You can feel the story of the place in every stone. The service is great, everyone is very friendly and the SPA is professional and worth a few visits! But it is the magical buildings and gardens that ooze history combine with the spectacular view of the Kinneret which makes it so special. A gem in a special place and a 'must see'.

First stay but hopefully not our last. The property is maintained in a most professional manner and is lovely. It is a gem of a site in an otherwise commercial area. The views and food presentation and quality is excellent as is the bar and its tender from the UK in the evening. We enjoyed a superlative musical program on September 19.

Great rooms. Great views. Super friendly staff which isn't always the case in that area. And good food. This hotel is one of the few who really know what superb service is in that area. We loved our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
"Lovely stay at beautiful hotel"

My husband and I spent a long weekend at Scots Hotel in Tiberias, enjoying the ambiance and beauty of the place. Our room was in the new section, on the fifth floor, overlooking the Kinneret- perfectly beautiful. We chose to not include dinners in our booking, but the breakfasts were wonderful. We had dinner one evening in the cozy bar area - excellent sandwich platter - plenty for two. The bartender is personable and helpful. On Friday night we were treated to the most beautiful outdoor concert imaginable - a wonderful bonus!! Our room was sunny, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Nearby restaurants within walking distance were excellent - Pagoda and Avi's. We recommend staying at Scots Hotel.
