The stay ws very pleasant. Unfortunately we came late and got up late so we could not enjoy the spa - our fault. The hotel is very pleasant, surrounding is beautiful and staff were very friendly and helpful.

We arrived slightly later than planned because our GPS took us all over the countryside..a much faster route was available we found out the next day. We received a very friendly greeting even though we were so late and even were able to have a midnight snack delivered to our room with a couple of beers. It was very pleasant to awaken to birds chirping and we had a close-up view as a couple hopped along the top of the gutter outside our window. We received a couple if suggestions for touring nice sights and were on the road for the day. Upon our return about 9pm, we had coffee and ice delivered to our room for a late night beverage. The château is everything I had ever thought one should be including the location. It is off the beaten path but then then that added to the lovely experience!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms more than adequate. We arrived on a Sunday and, understandably, the evening menu was limited; nevertheless the meal was excellent with adequate choices. Scenic in its own right and convenient to Giverny, well worth a stop.

Rooms on third floor; had to carry luggage up and down, no lifts. Room was small, especially the shower, but comfortable and clean. Nice bedding. Neighborhood so quiet we were able to open our window and listen to the rain during the night. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Rouen. Overall, nice place.

2nd stay in this Campanile this holiday. Would have given it 5/5 but for a slowly draining sink. Comfy, well signposted and situated, friendly and helpful staff. In UK chain terms, provides the services of a good Premier Inn ie coffee/tea making, welcome biscuit/sweet, personally I liked it better than Premier Inn. We plumped for this hotel for a one-night stopover each way between home and Bordeaux this Summer, and were not disappointed. The two star rooms were basic yet modern and comfortable, secure and, most importantly, immaculately clean. We requested adjacent twin and triple rooms each time and were accommodated on the outward stay (the only drawback was […] the triple was a bit of a campbed affair for the 11 year old). On the return stay we were treated to an adjoining double and twin, and an adjacent twin at no extra cost, which was a nice touch (I would recommend three book-early twin rooms for a family of five, as this is only fractionally more expensive than twin & triple). The best part of this hotel, however, is the restaurant where I can recommend the plat du jour + unlimited dessert buffet (!) from 1900hrs and the breakfast for from 0700hrs - both were excellent quality and made the stopovers hassle-free either side of a long day in the car - having experienced Bordeaux prices, they also represent reasonable value. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again, or to recommend it to you. As usual, take some ear plugs in case your neighbours are a little vocal, and you WILL need to study that hotel section in the phrasebook, as 3/4 staff spoke no English at all. Rather difficult to find. Quality of campanile hotels are not as good. Looks rather shabby. The reception staff good. The meal was bad. I can't understand why if I stayed at Premier Classe I would get 15% off my meal but not if I stayed at campanile. There was an offer of 10% off the meal but I had to produce a voucher. Not very forthcoming.

Somewhat out of town (about 5.5 kms SE of the city) ... but an excellent stopover location. Room small (but comfortable and very functional), *clean*, friendly service -- didn't try any of the food --. We used the hotel as an overnight stay on both our outbound and return journeys ... excellent refreshment through the journey.

A relatively cheap clean hotel that was situated perfectly for the purpose of my visit to the area. This motel is about ten minutes drive from Rouen. Well maintained, comfortable room and tea/coffee making facilities. The reception was part of the restaurant which was a little confusing but the service at the desk was good. The food was excellent and well priced - commendations to the chef - and we had the opportunity of a buffet for each course (special […] deal) or a la carte. One of us is gluten intolerant and staff were very helpful in letting us know what could be eaten. Breakfast was also a buffet and very well presented with lots of choice and not too highly priced.. The only downside was some trucks passing during the night, but that would not put us off using this motel again.
