After arriving in Rome exhausted at 11.30pm the Hilton Garden was the perfect place to stay. A free mini-bus took us from the terminal to the front door, check-in was quick and efficient with friendly staff. The bar, which was open til midnight was well stocked and the perfect place to wind down. There is also a twenty-four hour shop where you can buy anything you need, including toiletries, drinks and snacks (which can be heated in microwaves rooms when required). The room was spotless and featured an easy to use alarm radio complete with an impressive selection of pre-programmed stations. We could not have found a better hotel to stay in for the first night of our honeymoon and will definitely be staying there again next time we fly into/out of Rome. Top marks

Be patient waiting for the shuttle and read the instructions so you see where the hotel shuttles park. The hotel is NOT within walking distance, but the shuttle starts at 4am not 6am like I read. I took the 5am shuttle and made connections to my early morning flight without delay. The room was excellent, high speed internet was the best connection ever. Hot water, plenty of pressure, great bed and business chair. Best steak with peppercorn sauce in restaurant. Sent chef a 10 Euro tip is was that good. Will definitely stay here again

Great things: free shuttle (tons of seats - it was a 35-40 seat bus) so no problems getting the shuttle at the time we needed/wanted. Restaurant was very good, food really tasty. We didn't do the breakfast, just dinner. Room was wonderful, adequate space, nicely decorated, really comfortable bed. If it is in your price range then it is an excellent place to stay because it is so convenient.

There's a few issues I would like to identify: * There are no signs in the airport that designate where to wait for the shuttle bus. Very difficult to find. (You have to cross the road and wait near the rental cars. How would we know that?) * The day time shuttle bus driver was rude. He was grumbling about loading luggages. * There was only one person doing a check in, and there was over 10 people in line. It was nearly 45 minutes before everyone got checked in. * There was no service help in putting the luggage in the room. Everyone had to do it themselves, so of the guests were seniors and had difficulty. There were some good things: * The shuttle bus driver at night was courteous. * The restaurant waitresses were courteous. Hope this feedback helps.

The hotel is no five star by any means, but my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. We had only spent one night before our early departure in the morning, so the convenient location to the airport was ideal for us. They have a shuttle that runs on every half hour. The rooms were a lot nicer than we had anticipated and very clean. The bar staff was extremely pleasant, and our only problem with The Hilton Inn was the Concierge staff's urgency level. They were very nice, but the line to check in was unbearably long. I guess that is Europe for you though. We are used to being a bit faster in the states.?

The Hilton Garden Inn in Rome is functional but offers the lowest common denominator service you can imagine. Hilton in name perhaps, but really Novotel or Travel Lodge in all other senses and therefore very overpriced for what is offers. We arrived after a long car journey to find that the only food available was plastic food to be heated in a microwave. There was no room service and no porter to help with bags. The room was clean but offered the absolute minimum of comfort. Stay here if you need a bed. Avoid at all costs if you want anything more than that. Staying there will certainly make me think twice and do a lot more research if I am every to stay in a Hilton again.

The hotel is spacious, very clean and has a restaurant/food area. We stayed only one night in preparation for our trip back to the U.S. The only thing that we would do differently would be to understand better the pick up point for the hotel's shuttle from the airport. The hotel has a self laundry area but the cost is a little steep i.e. $7.50 per wash and $7.50 per dry in small machines.

This is a wonderful hotel for having a delicious dinner and a very deep sleep before flying out of Fiumicino Airport. Although the hotel is located on the deserted end of the airport, there is a free shuttle which runs every 15 minutes or so to the airport and its sister hotel which is much closer to the terminal. You can also schedule a shuttle pickup time if you have an early flight (shuttle starts at 4 AM). My brother and I stayed there at the end of our 2 week trip to Italy, and I must say our best dinner of the entire trip was at the hotel. We spent nine nights in four different hotels throughout Italy. We spent our last night at the Hilton Garden Inn mainly because it was very close to the airport and they had a free shuttle. Check in was a breeze. The front desk personnel were very friendly and had answers to all of our questions. Our room was very clean and had a lot more room then our other hotels we had just stayed in. Internet was free whether you used their complimentary computers or had your own wi-fi. The only cautions I would throw out would be that there is really nothing around the hotel to do or go to for meals or entertainment. You would have to take a cab. Also, the shuttle did not pick up where all of the others did. Our directions were to wait at Pylon B. We figured out that Pylon B was Terminal B and the shuttle picked up right where all of the regular cars picked up and dropped people off. Great hotel.

My wife and I laboriously followed the signs in the airport to this last, only to find out that the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport is a completely different hotel, a short cab or shuttle bus ride away. Food in restraunt was too expensive. Bus in morning was timely. Breakfast which was included in my rate was wonderful, full American/British/Italian breakfast buffet.Coffee was great. I found it offensive that I had to pay for 2 hours of parking in a hotel which was not cheap. Parking should have been free...for 2 hours of parking I paid 7 euros that is about $10.50 American. I had a rental car which I parked to empty and clean before returning to the airport, 2 hours. Also in taking the shuttle bus back after returning the car I had great difficulty finding it and after 45 minutes in the rain only accidentally caught the shuttle as it was driving by. Needs to be better marked, no one in the area or airport knew where the pickup spot was.

Even though there is a walkway from the FCO airport to this hotel, it is a LONG walk there, especially if you're toting luggage. We were changed from this hotel to the Hilton Rome Airport because of maintenance, so this is a review of that Hilton and not the Garden Inn. The food at the Airport Hilton is EXPENSIVE!! Five Euros for a very small bottle of Sprite and the food was not very good. The internet was 3.5 euros for 15 minutes. It probably would have been cheaper to eat at the airport and then go to the hotel room. It is at least a 15 minute walk from the airport to the hotel and when you're carrying luggage and you're tired, this can be exhausting, The best thing about this hotel IS its proximity to both the airport AND the train station, though. They only have one or two English speaking TV channels and they are both BBC News channels, which repeat the same programming all day long. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were smashed flat.
