We are very satisfy with this hotel. It is located in 5 minutes walking distance from Florence central station. Excellent restaurant next door with 10% for hotel guests. We stayed in one of the unit with kitchen. There are supermarkets nearby. Breakfast is buffet style with many choices. Hotel staff is very helpful. They even helped us to print out train tickets when we purchased on line. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we went to Florence again.

The staff here were fabulous, even calling our hotel in Rome before we left them to ask a question for us. The room for two adults, a 6'+ 15 yr old and a 16 yr old was more then big enough and bright and airy. The bell tower outside the window was beautiful. Staying here you are close to the Duomo and convenient to the train station, which is fabulous when you are training between cities in Rome. We would most definitely stay here again!

Hotel was a few steps from the Duomo & walking distance from Santa Maria Novella, Ponte Vecchio, Uffuzi, Academia, & San Croce.

"Lovely hotel with charm and history"
A centrally located hotel with history and character. The breakfast room and adjoining patio was exquiste. First two nights it was noisy due to construction in the back alley. The management graciously moved us to the sixth floor. Heavenly!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Hermitage- exellent location and price-range"
As I said before, the personnel were very helpful, spoke excellent English and were very polite. We could easily walk to every sight that we wished to see. We were literally RIGHT NEXT to the Uffici Museum and the end of the Ponte of Vecchio bridge. The bathroom was superior. "Lived up to expectations"
This was indeed a romantic hotel, and in a great location. No need to use buses because one can walk everywhere from this hotel. One of the best shopping streets (via por Santa Maria) also starts right behind the corner from the hotel. Enjoyed the bubble bath! My experience here was fabulous! To start when i arrived someone came down stairs and took my bags to my room while i checked in and was shown the breakfast room and other facilities and then shown to my room. My room was large yet homely. the staff were lovely extremely helpful, they suggested a different place to eat each night depending on what I […] felt like eating. The location was a treat. I walked to all the tourist attractions I wanted to see with out the need for hiking boots. It is also right between a bunch of shopping streets so there isn't need to travel far. The view from the roof garden was superb to one side is the roof top of the duomo and other historical buildings and in the other direction is the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) and river. This hotel was in a great location, about a 2 min walk to Uffizi Gallery, the city centre and about 15 min walk to the Accademia Gallery (where the statue of David is) and Firenze SMN train station. "Disconnected and difficult access"
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly,however, the hotel's location was disconnected from it's surroundings, access is not convenient and the room was dark with no view or much light. The breakfast was awful, mainly packaged food that you buy from a supermarket and we got the worst possible recommendation ever for a good, authentic Florentine restaurant […] ! The Hermitage is in a fabulous location, close to the wonderful Ponte Vecchio and Uffizzi Gallery too. We walked everywhere all weekend, no taxis or buses needed and it was bliss when we were hot and tired only having a short walk back to the hotel. This hotel has the best location in Florence. You can sit on the lovely garden rooftop terrace right on the Arno,sipping wine and have a perfect view of the Ponte Vecchio. It took us 1 1/2hrs to find the entrance to the hotel(its tucked away in an alley, near tunnel entrance) but once we did, it was amazing-walking distance to everything. Breakfast was plentiful. We have stayed in other hotels in Florence but the Hermitage is easily the best: its position yards from the Ponte Vecchio makes it so easy to get to where one wants to go within minutes.
