Amazing stay at a great bnb. Arrived late but the wine was still out. Marion welcomed us so warmly and we even got upgraded to the loft which was amazing. Would go back and recommend to all visiting Yountville/Napa.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A short walk from several good restaurants"
We were very comfortable in our lovely loft room with a king bed, separate sitting room and quiet location. The hotel is very close to the French Laundry, Bouchon, Ad Hoc and several other good restaurants, with art galleries, shops and boutiques in the same area. Whilst Yountville is a very small town, it has a lot to offer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel, the staff were helpful. And it's an ideal location, as you can easily walk to all the restaurants and wine shops. Would also recommend staying here in Yountville due to its central location in the valley and ease of getting around, instead of NapaGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dinner at the French Laundry"
Great spot for walking distance to the French Laundry. Drove up to Yountville as part of my birthday celebration and dinner at the French Laundry. Cannot be the convenience as you are literally around the corner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The customer service at this Inn is better than you will find at most hotels. Very attentive and willing to help you with just about everything. From help with picking restaurants and vineyards to the fresh home made breakfast each day along with wine tasting in the evenings. This place has been one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had […] at a property this size. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"So cozy and pleasant."
My husband and I had a great time. Used the inn's bikes to go for a spin through the vineyards. Had a private little patio with fountain and hummingbirds. It was lovely-wish we could have stayed more than two nights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent bed and breakfast"
Our room was large but dated - especially the bed linens, mattress and bathroom. Our fireplace was not functional and was not able to be repaired during our stay. We should have changed rooms when it was offered to us, but a comparable room was not available and we had already unpacked. They comped us with a bottle of champagne on our last night but […] honestly after a full day of wine tasting we really didn't need or want a bottle of champagne so we ended up leaving it there unopened. The breakfast was pretty good and the afternoon snacks very nice. Everyone was pleasant but as a whole it didn't wow us, but it's definitely less expensive than a lot of the hotels in the area. "Exceptional B&B -- Try it!"
Every B&B should try a stay at Lavender. They have it down perfectly. Excellence in every area: staff, rooms/patios, comfort, space, and especially the breakfasts.Genuine Expedia guest review

Great location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We went up for a special event of trying to obtain a reservation at the French Laundry! Staying at The Lavender could not have been a more exciting exprience! It was wonderful and Marion at the front desk could not have been more gracious, funny, knowledgeable about the area and just plain nice! Our room was excptional. We had a king room with a hot […] tub on the patio which was very relaxing. The whole house is very comfortable and the grounds are immaculate. The breakfast was wonderful and in the afternoon the wine and hors'derves were amazing. The other people staying there were very interesting and friendly. This bed and breakfast is only about a three minute walk around the corner to the French Laundry and very short walking distances to other restaurants and town. I would find it hard to find someone that was not 100% pleased with their stay. We wil defnitely return! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely hotel but rooms varied in quality"
We came to Lavender Inn as a group so had a few rooms. We were advised that as one of the rooms would be taken by two adults, my sister and my aunt, there was only one suitable. My poor sister was put on a sofa bed that did not accommodate an adult. When she complained the next day the gentleman checking her out laughed and said she was quite right […] that bed is only for children and should not be given to adults. For 250 a night and a twin room request I expect a little more courtesy. The other rooms were nice but we preferred Maison Fleurie up the road. Breakfast was excellent but not child friendly (we had young children). Maison Fleurie did a lovely job of balancing our needs and making us feel welcome whilst balancing needs (peace and quiet!) for other guests. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Marion was so helpful in explaining the area, wineries, and making us feel welcome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Liked the privacy of the rooms. The one we stayed had a separate fenced patio. Wished we stayed longer to enjoy it more. The room and bathroom were large and roomy. The breakfast was average. The Inn is very close to French Laundry if you decide to dine there. You can walk to it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Lovely Inn"
Our room was like a cozy little cabin. We just loved it. The staff was great (we especially loved Marion!) and, of course, location, location - an easy walk to everything. Can't wait to go backGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great staff, great room, great location!"
Less than 5 min walking distance to numerous great restaurants, but make reservations. Hotel staff was friendly and will help w restaurant choices and reservations. Hot breakfast in morning and free wine tasting in afternoon. Stayed in room 3 which was very spacious- big room w king, big bathroom and private patio area - very relaxing. Beautiful place. Nice room. Unfortunately for us, there was a construction project going on next door. Started early and lasted all day. I know this is an unusual situation, but definately annoying.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint setting situated in the heart of Napa"
We loved our stay at the Lavender Inn. Our room was exceptionally appointed with comfortable furnishings, private outdoor jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace (which we needed) and outstanding location in the heart of Yountville, one block from Bouchon and the French Laundry restaurants. The roses in the garden were in full bloom--a real treat for the eye and […] nose. The Victorian charm was oozing as we enjoyed the wicker chairs on the front porch while sipping on complimentary wine and devouring a wide array of appetizers. The next morning Rose Marie made us feel right at home during our delicious hot breakfast of a delicate homemade strata, fresh muffins and fruit. The service this hotel provides extended well after our stay when we received a phone call about a left behind golf shirt. They have packed it up to ship to our home without hesitation, complete with a chipper "Have a great trip!" Excellent service, excellent inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I wish our stay was longer than one night. We loved our room and the Inn, and wish we stayed another night to take more advantage of the place. Super charming place, in a great location inYountville. We'll definitely stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lavendar Hotel, Yountville"
This was a wonderful stay, in the upstairs room of the main house. The room was large with a gas fireplace , sitting room and jetted bathtub. The afternoon horsdourves and delicious breakfast served the following morning, were a real treat, as was the big, comfy bed. We've already made our reservations for next year. Friendly and attentive staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Manly man friendly and girly at the same time"
12/03/14 Amy A Orlando, Florida
If you are familiar with Park Ave in Winter Park, FL Yountville is an equivalent and Lavender would easily blend in to Winter Park. We were desperately looking for a more affordable place to stay in October that also didn't have minimum night stay requirements. One of their inns was recommended by a friend in Sonoma but they didn't have availability. Out of desperation we got a reservation even though we didnt know anything about Yountville or really this place. Best.decision.ever! Its a boutique hotel (10 or 13 rooms total) meets a B&B feel. We had our own porch with chairs to call our family after our engagement a few hours earlier. Our room had a gas fireplace in the bedroom and private outdoor hot tub. The morning "continental" breakfast was a full on breakfast with gluten free options. For a man who can eat an entire pizza by himself, my fiancé easily had enough food for breakfast. Also had a free happy hour, if you didn't have enough wine during the day. It is located within walking distance to shops and restaurants, so we never used the car once we got there. Highly, highly recommend!
"Comfortable, spacious room in a quiet neighborhood."
12/02/14 IndTraveler San Francisco
We needed some R&R after a hectic Thanksgiving week. Lavender was the perfect place for that. It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood but within short walking distance of many nice shops and restaurants. We enjoyed taking quiet walks in the neighborhood. Our room #1 had a king-size bed, a fireplace, mini-refrigerator and was spacious. The bathroom was huge with 2 sinks and a large shower/tub. There also was a private patio with comfortable furniture. We parked just a few steps away from our room. Breakfast included cereals, bagels, quiche, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea. Lavender is just a 1 hour drive from our SF home. We will definitely return.
"Some of the reviews on trip advisor are not as good as they should be. This place was great!!"

Staff was amazing, especially Mika (not sure on spelling). They were helpful, friendly, informative, and make us want to go back. We were in town to eat at French Laundry which is less than a block away, easy walk. From the reviews here, I thought this place would be OK, but nothing special. On the contrary. The room was very nice and homey, clean well equipped, fire place, with a nice private patio where we enjoyed wine at night and breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was the best we have ever had at any hotel or bed and breakfast. We had quiche and delicious homemade french toast, among other things. I really cannot go on enough about how much I would recommend this place to anyone wine tasting in the valley or eating at French Laundry.
"Lovely room and friendly welcome"

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Lavender Inn. The welcome when we arrived was very warm and we were in time to enjoy the wine tasting provided by the inn. We had a lovely large room with huge bathroom with his and hers sinks. The bed was large and comfortable. It was nice to have an outside seating area but I'm not sure when the hot tub would be used (there was no water in it) as there's no real view and it's already hot outside! You're also rather enclosed with no outlook. I preferred to sit in the lovely swinging seat on the veranda and watch the world go by (not that there's much activity!). We found the breakfast to be limited in choice and a much better option is to walk to Bouchon Bakery just down the road where they serve lovely pastries and coffee as well as proper English tea. The inn is perfectly located in Yountville for all the local restaurants - pretty much all within walking distance. We would book this place again if we returned to Yountville.
"Very Friendly and Welcoming"

While we understand this Inn to be very popular (understandably so), we were so impressed that the staff made us feel like personal guests. We stayed for several nights in the large bedroom upstairs in the main house. Our only complaint about the room was that the A/C (central) may need a reboot as it couldn't cool the room entirely. That aside, we had a great stay. The breakfast was wonderful, the afternoon wine and cheese event could be a meal in itself, and the location is highly central. Parking is easy to find near the Inn and you can walk to Yountville in 5 minutes. We would stay here again if we return to Yountville.

We spent two nights at the Inn in a lovely room with a private terrace. The bed was extremely comfortable! We enjoyed the very large bathroom with dual sinks and large tub/shower. The staff at check in were very helpful and pleasant. The inn is located in a great location in Yountville close to all the great restaurants - easy to walk to everywhere including up into the vineyards for an evening stroll. The only negative was the one staff person who worked at breakfast time. To her benefit, she was probably thinking she was being helpful, but she was just so down and negative. We told her our plans for a wine tour. Her response "watch out, you'll be elbowing for room". We were driving to Monterey after Yountville. She told us how horrendous the drive was. She kept going on about how she wouldn't want to do it. She said many times "that's going to be one hellish ride". FYI our private wine tour was excellent with a total of ten people. Our drive to Monterey took just under 3 hours. It was very scenic. We did hit two pockets of traffic but nothing significant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with a bedroom and separate sitting room. Breakfast was tasty and the inn is situated in the attractive center of Yountville, an easy walk to restaurants, bars, galleries and shops.

We really enjoyed our short one night stay at this Inn. The location is great: it is walking distance to many of the good restaurants in Yountville and the rate is slightly more affordable than the some of the hotels around. The grounds were lovely, quiet. The room was nicely decorated. We had a nice private terrace. There was a free wifi but I had to go back at the reception area to get the password, they did not mention that in the introductory visit. I wish we had more free time to enjoy some the appetizers and wine that are complementary at the end of the afternoon. We had to leave before the breakfast time which I think is at 8 am, we mentioned that at check-in after reading the comments of another reviewer who had the same issue, and they made sure there was hot coffee and some bagels and pastries ready at 6h30 am that we could bring with us for the road. I would go back anytime!
"A Great property !"
09/16/14 Charlene C Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, United States
Really nice place to stay. I wish our room had more lighting. But we opened our curtains for natural light and it was sufficient. The good thing was we had a private courtyard in front of our windows so we had privacy when our curtains were open. Our friends had an upstairs room (#8) and it was much larger with a pull out single sofa sleeper and a much brighter room. The staff was very nice and pleasant. Our breakfasts were super good. Very nice variety and fresh. There is an outside area to eat and enjoy the beautiful mornings or you can eat inside. It's buffet style so you help yourself to as much as you want - very nice! It's also convenient to walk to shops and they have bicycles for you to use - free!
"So Comfy and Friendly!"
09/15/14 Jim W Carmel, California
Our recent 3-night stay was simply marvelous! The staff is most courteous, the breakfast options are scrumptious and the accommodations very comfortable. Lavender is a couple of minute walk from "downtown" Yountville and centrally located (versus Napa) for access to the wineries -- a major plus. We stayed in "La Cachette" (room 9) which is smaller than the others but is isolated on the second floor and we literally did not hear a sound during our stay.
