Great hotel, the staff were helpful. And it's an ideal location, as you can easily walk to all the restaurants and wine shops. Would also recommend staying here in Yountville due to its central location in the valley and ease of getting around, instead of NapaGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dinner at the French Laundry"
Great spot for walking distance to the French Laundry. Drove up to Yountville as part of my birthday celebration and dinner at the French Laundry. Cannot be the convenience as you are literally around the corner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The customer service at this Inn is better than you will find at most hotels. Very attentive and willing to help you with just about everything. From help with picking restaurants and vineyards to the fresh home made breakfast each day along with wine tasting in the evenings. "So cozy and pleasant."
My husband and I had a great time. Used the inn's bikes to go for a spin through the vineyards. Had a private little patio with fountain and hummingbirds. It was lovely-wish we could have stayed more than two nights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent bed and breakfast"
Our room was large but dated - especially the bed linens, mattress and bathroom. Our fireplace was not functional and was not able to be repaired during our stay. We should have changed rooms when it was offered to us, but a comparable room was not available and we had already unpacked. They comped us with a bottle of champagne on our last night but […] honestly after a full day of wine tasting we really didn't need or want a bottle of champagne so we ended up leaving it there unopened. The breakfast was pretty good and the afternoon snacks very nice. Everyone was pleasant but as a whole it didn't wow us, but it's definitely less expensive than a lot of the hotels in the area. "Exceptional B&B -- Try it!"
Every B&B should try a stay at Lavender. They have it down perfectly. Excellence in every area: staff, rooms/patios, comfort, space, and especially the breakfasts.Genuine Expedia guest review

Great location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We went up for a special event of trying to obtain a reservation at the French Laundry! Staying at The Lavender could not have been a more exciting exprience! It was wonderful and Marion at the front desk could not have been more gracious, funny, knowledgeable about the area and just plain nice! Our room was excptional. We had a king room with a hot […] tub on the patio which was very relaxing. The whole house is very comfortable and the grounds are immaculate. The breakfast was wonderful and in the afternoon the wine and hors'derves were amazing. The other people staying there were very interesting and friendly. This bed and breakfast is only about a three minute walk around the corner to the French Laundry and very short walking distances to other restaurants and town. I would find it hard to find someone that was not 100% pleased with their stay. We wil defnitely return! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely hotel but rooms varied in quality"
We came to Lavender Inn as a group so had a few rooms. We were advised that as one of the rooms would be taken by two adults, my sister and my aunt, there was only one suitable. My poor sister was put on a sofa bed that did not accommodate an adult. When she complained the next day the gentleman checking her out laughed and said she was quite right […] that bed is only for children and should not be given to adults. For 250 a night and a twin room request I expect a little more courtesy. The other rooms were nice but we preferred Maison Fleurie up the road. Breakfast was excellent but not child friendly (we had young children). Maison Fleurie did a lovely job of balancing our needs and making us feel welcome whilst balancing needs (peace and quiet!) for other guests. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Marion was so helpful in explaining the area, wineries, and making us feel welcome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Liked the privacy of the rooms. The one we stayed had a separate fenced patio. Wished we stayed longer to enjoy it more. The room and bathroom were large and roomy. The breakfast was average. The Inn is very close to French Laundry if you decide to dine there. You can walk to it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Lovely Inn"
Our room was like a cozy little cabin. We just loved it. The staff was great (we especially loved Marion!) and, of course, location, location - an easy walk to everything. Can't wait to go backGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quaint setting situated in the heart of Napa"
We loved our stay at the Lavender Inn. Our room was exceptionally appointed with comfortable furnishings, private outdoor jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace (which we needed) and outstanding location in the heart of Yountville, one block from Bouchon and the French Laundry restaurants. The roses in the garden were in full bloom--a real treat for the eye and […] nose. The Victorian charm was oozing as we enjoyed the wicker chairs on the front porch while sipping on complimentary wine and devouring a wide array of appetizers. The next morning Rose Marie made us feel right at home during our delicious hot breakfast of a delicate homemade strata, fresh muffins and fruit. The service this hotel provides extended well after our stay when we received a phone call about a left behind golf shirt. They have packed it up to ship to our home without hesitation, complete with a chipper "Have a great trip!" Excellent service, excellent inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lavendar Hotel, Yountville"
This was a wonderful stay, in the upstairs room of the main house. The room was large with a gas fireplace , sitting room and jetted bathtub. The afternoon horsdourves and delicious breakfast served the following morning, were a real treat, as was the big, comfy bed. We've already made our reservations for next year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with a bedroom and separate sitting room. Breakfast was tasty and the inn is situated in the attractive center of Yountville, an easy walk to restaurants, bars, galleries and shops.

We really enjoyed our short one night stay at this Inn. The location is great: it is walking distance to many of the good restaurants in Yountville and the rate is slightly more affordable than the some of the hotels around. The grounds were lovely, quiet. The room was nicely decorated. We had a nice private terrace. There was a free wifi but I had to go back at the reception area to get the password, they did not mention that in the introductory visit. I wish we had more free time to enjoy some the appetizers and wine that are complementary at the end of the afternoon. We had to leave before the breakfast time which I think is at 8 am, we mentioned that at check-in after reading the comments of another reviewer who had the same issue, and they made sure there was hot coffee and some bagels and pastries ready at 6h30 am that we could bring with us for the road. I would go back anytime!
"A Great property !"

Really nice place to stay. I wish our room had more lighting. But we opened our curtains for natural light and it was sufficient. The good thing was we had a private courtyard in front of our windows so we had privacy when our curtains were open. Our friends had an upstairs room (#8) and it was much larger with a pull out single sofa sleeper and a much brighter room. The staff was very nice and pleasant. Our breakfasts were super good. Very nice variety and fresh. There is an outside area to eat and enjoy the beautiful mornings or you can eat inside. It's buffet style so you help yourself to as much as you want - very nice! It's also convenient to walk to shops and they have bicycles for you to use - free!
"So Comfy and Friendly!"

Our recent 3-night stay was simply marvelous! The staff is most courteous, the breakfast options are scrumptious and the accommodations very comfortable. Lavender is a couple of minute walk from "downtown" Yountville and centrally located (versus Napa) for access to the wineries -- a major plus. We stayed in "La Cachette" (room 9) which is smaller than the others but is isolated on the second floor and we literally did not hear a sound during our stay.
"Great hotel and location, couple minor flaws"
09/08/14 tubulus New York City, New York
Loved our room (upstairs in the main house). HUGE with walled/doored-off sitting area (where we put a pack and play that they provided for us). Very quiet. Bed was OK, mattress too soft/lumpy for my taste. Couldn't get the heating/cooling to work right but the breezes took care of it for us. Heavy blackout shades were nice, but would have been nice if there was a thin privacy shade as well, so we could get breezes without being visible to the street. Breakfast was very good one day and just OK the next (different cooks). Good coffee. The wine glasses in the rooms and common area stunk - this is not OK for a hotel in wine country. Location is perfect - walkable to many restaurants and tasting rooms. In summary, a great option if you aren't interested in paying the $500+ a night at the fancy hotels. Would definitely return.

What a great find. My husband and I stayed at Lavender for 3 nights, and really did not want to leave. We were in the upstairs suite, which we loved. Lots of room and wonderful breezes blowing through the open windows. Lots of privacy...but also very helpful. You can walk to many restaurants...tasting rooms... Beautiful country roads not far away for a run or bike ride. We definitely plan to return.

This hotel is really amazing, friendly staff and great breakfast! We really enjoyed our stay here this past weekend. If anyone is visiting the Napa area, I would recommend staying in Yountville. It is close to great restaurants and everything is in walking distance. All the rooms have a hot tub as well.
"Thank you Four Sisters Inn Management for Accomodating Days after Napa earthquake"
09/02/14 Yipee43 Austin, TX
Our party of 4 had resereved 2 rooms at the Maison Fluerie, another Four Sisters Inn property in Yountville, for our 3 day/2 night trip to Napa last week. A very unexpected 6.0 earthquake hit the town of Napa only 3 days before we were scheduled to arrive in Yountville. This was a trip we had booked in January and were very excited about it, so we didn't want to cancel unless there was a big threat. We were assured by Four Sisters Inn staff that everything was in order and that everything would be fine. On the day of our arrival, we recieved a call from management during our wine tasting outing, letting us know that CA issued a mandate that all historic brick buildings needed further inspection. They offered us 2 upgraded rooms at the Lavender for the same price, which was only a block away from our original B&B. Everyone we spoke with was extremely accomodating and could not have been more professional and helpful. Breakfast and afternoon wine/cheese was great and perfect before and after a day of wine tasting. Its a great location in Yountvile in a very adorable neighborhood. We walked to dinner each night and loved the scenery and perfect weather. We also took the bikes out one morning and did a leisurely loop around Yountville. The Lavender is a great spot, but you really can't go wrong with any of the Four Sisters Inns, as they have excellent management and went above and beyond during a situation (earthquake) that was really out of their control. Excellent price point for Yountville as well. We will be back!

We stayed at the Lavender on a recent visit to the Napa Valley. The room was nicely finished with an individual courtyard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast each day before heading out. Also enjoyed wine tastings in the late afternoon.
"A quaint gem slipping in to neglect and disrepair."
06/12/14 LuReeBa Washington DC, District of Columbia
We've stayed here before and it was lovely: quaint, charming, exceptional service. Also, a great location in Yountville. You can walk to everything. However, Lavender seems to be slipping -- standards are not as high and attention to detail is sadly lacking. Lavender now seems on a bit of a downhill slide: threadbare sheets (pilling on the flat sheet to the point of feeling rough); a mini-fridge that kicked off and on constantly, but barely kept food cold; too many useless decorative pillows, not enough regular comfy bed pillows. The bed pillows were not a standard I'd expect at a B&B inn like Lavender (pitiful and lumpy). The mattress was a mess too and either needed to be replaced at at least have a good pad put on it. The internet mostly didn't work. Another minor frustration. The patio was nice, but furniture was dirty and cushions were stained-looking. The patio in general looked like it needed a good cleaning. Breakfast was unremarkable with poached eggs (?) and cinnamon apple pancakes, not at all like the wonderful breakfasts we'd had there on previous visits. My biggest problem this visit was construction noise. There is construction in the area all the way around the inn. Jackhammers, backhoes, dump trucks -- you name it. Then there is also on-site construction at Lavender. We were looking forward to sitting on the private patio, maybe in the jacuzzi with some wine and some sun, you know a relaxing get-away. All we could think of is where can we go to escape the noise?! We stayed overnight and hoped for the best, but were greeted with even more noise the next morning. We decided to cut our losses here and move onward. We were disappointed in every way with Lavender this visit. They should notify customers about construction (whether local or on-site) and allow the customer to decide if they'd still like to stay (we would NOT have booked here with construction). After talking to the front desk clerk, who was very nonchalant, we walked down to their sister property, Maison Fleurie, and received great assistance from Cinthia who let let us look at properties on her computer screen (since we couldn't do it from our room) and helped us rebook for another inn (Gaige House in Glen Ellen). Cinthia saved the day. She was friendly, helpful and understanding. I might return to Lavender after some upgrading on linens, bedding, improvement on breakfast, and a construction-free zone. Location: A+, you can walk everywhere in Yountville Facility: C, still charming and quaint, but threadbare, tattered and definitely worse for the wear Service: C, our concerns with noise seemed to fall on deaf ears Breakfast: D, boring. Not the usual "Four Sisters Inn" special B&B breakfast. Value: D, due to room quality issues and mostly due to construction noise.
