What a delightful B&B! The room was very nice - comfy bed, roomy bathroom, and cozy patio. Breakfast was delicious, and wine in the evening was lovely. Beautiful grounds, convenient neighborhood. But the very best part was Marion, at the front desk in the evenings! We looked forward to seeing her at the end of our wine tasting days!!! If we ever have the chance to return to Napa, no question about it, we'll stay at Lavender!!!!

We are return guests and found that several things had improved - the front desk person who checked us in was delightful and informative, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere very relaxing. It was a bit warm during our stay, and we seemed unable to get the A/C below 70, which for sleeping, we really needed - but the room had a portable fan that we put to good use. Bed was comfortable, and when I asked on the 2nd day for a different, softer pillow, it was provided by the time we returned to the inn.

This was our second visit to Lavender. Beautiful property only a minutes walk to the many wonderful restaurants of Yountville. Rooms are well appointed and spacious and include a jacuzzi, all in all a great value for the price. Two key differentiators- very friendly but professional hosts took us on a mini tour of the property and our room. Second, the prepared breakfast was fantastic with many choices to get your day started off.

We were very comfortable in our lovely loft room with a king bed, separate sitting room and quiet location. The hotel is very close to the French Laundry, Bouchon, Ad Hoc and several other good restaurants, with art galleries, shops and boutiques in the same area. Whilst Yountville is a very small town, it has a lot to offer.

Great hotel, the staff were helpful. And it's an ideal location, as you can easily walk to all the restaurants and wine shops. Would also recommend staying here in Yountville due to its central location in the valley and ease of getting around, instead of Napa

The customer service at this Inn is better than you will find at most hotels. Very attentive and willing to help you with just about everything. From help with picking restaurants and vineyards to the fresh home made breakfast each day along with wine tasting in the evenings. This place has been one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had at a property this size.

Our room was large but dated - especially the bed linens, mattress and bathroom. Our fireplace was not functional and was not able to be repaired during our stay. We should have changed rooms when it was offered to us, but a comparable room was not available and we had already unpacked. They comped us with a bottle of champagne on our last night but honestly after a full day of wine tasting we really didn't need or want a bottle of champagne so we ended up leaving it there unopened. The breakfast was pretty good and the afternoon snacks very nice. Everyone was pleasant but as a whole it didn't wow us, but it's definitely less expensive than a lot of the hotels in the area.

We went up for a special event of trying to obtain a reservation at the French Laundry! Staying at The Lavender could not have been a more exciting exprience! It was wonderful and Marion at the front desk could not have been more gracious, funny, knowledgeable about the area and just plain nice! Our room was excptional. We had a king room with a hot tub on the patio which was very relaxing. The whole house is very comfortable and the grounds are immaculate. The breakfast was wonderful and in the afternoon the wine and hors'derves were amazing. The other people staying there were very interesting and friendly. This bed and breakfast is only about a three minute walk around the corner to the French Laundry and very short walking distances to other restaurants and town. I would find it hard to find someone that was not 100% pleased with their stay. We wil defnitely return!

We came to Lavender Inn as a group so had a few rooms. We were advised that as one of the rooms would be taken by two adults, my sister and my aunt, there was only one suitable. My poor sister was put on a sofa bed that did not accommodate an adult. When she complained the next day the gentleman checking her out laughed and said she was quite right that bed is only for children and should not be given to adults. For 250 a night and a twin room request I expect a little more courtesy. The other rooms were nice but we preferred Maison Fleurie up the road. Breakfast was excellent but not child friendly (we had young children). Maison Fleurie did a lovely job of balancing our needs and making us feel welcome whilst balancing needs (peace and quiet!) for other guests.

Liked the privacy of the rooms. The one we stayed had a separate fenced patio. Wished we stayed longer to enjoy it more. The room and bathroom were large and roomy. The breakfast was average. The Inn is very close to French Laundry if you decide to dine there. You can walk to it.

Less than 5 min walking distance to numerous great restaurants, but make reservations. Hotel staff was friendly and will help w restaurant choices and reservations. Hot breakfast in morning and free wine tasting in afternoon. Stayed in room 3 which was very spacious- big room w king, big bathroom and private patio area - very relaxing. We definitely plan on staying here again!

Seldom have I been so charmed by the service as at this small hotel in the charming town of Yountville. I chose it to be near the French Laundry and that it is - mere yards! Parking is on site, there are simple amenities, a decent breakfast and books, umbrellas, fires all to hand. My room had both a vintage bath and an outside hot tub. I'd definitely stay there again if I managed to get another French Laundry booking!

"Great Experience!"
06/08/15 hallcj2
My husband and I and another couple traveled to Napa Valley at the end of May for the second time in two years. The first time we stayed in Napa and all we did was drive by Yountville to get to whatever wineries we were visiting that day. This time we made the VERY smart decision to stay at the Lavender Inn. The rooms were clean, private and very well kept; the breakfasts were fantastic (eggs, a starch, fruit and yogurt daily) and the front desk people were very nice and accommodating, We had rooms 1 and 2 in one of the perimeter cottages; each had a little courtyard for relaxing and a convenient parking lot in the back. We couldn't have asked for a better location (short walk to restaurants and shopping) and convenient to Rte 29, Rutherford and St. Helena. Would we stay here again? ABSOLUTELY!!

"Worth Every Penny!"
06/04/15 Lindsay S Chicago, Illinois
Lavender is located steps from the famous French Laundry, a very short walk to "downtown" Yountville and a perfect distance between Napa and St. Helena/Calistoga. We were able to easily drive to either end of the Napa Valley within 20 minutes and had a beautiful stay. Lavender provides guests with complimentary breakfast each day that included specialty quiche/egg tarts, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, fruit. This may not sound exciting but I went to bed each night dreaming about what would be for breakfast the next morning. Everything is made fresh from their kitchen and brought out. Don't skip breakfast! In the afternoon they bring out complimentary fresh baked cookies, wine, cheese, vegetables and appetizers. I highly recommend staying at Lavender. I stumbled upon it as many other Inns were booked for the weekend and I'm so happy I did! We stayed in room 8, which is the jetted tub room with king bed that is in the main house. There was a huge bedroom with fireplace, a large sitting area with chairs and a very roomy bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. There are only 8 rooms so book now! I can't express enough how perfect this location was for a full Napa Valley experience.

"Perfect combination of comfort and location"
06/02/15 UpgradeQueen California
I've had occasion to stay at this wonderful place a few times in the past month, and each stay was terrific. In addition to agreeing with all the wonderful things that have already been said, I'd just like to add that this is the PERFECT location for staying in Yountville or the Napa Valley. It's on a quiet residential street two blocks from town, where all the restos and visitors are, yet it's completely quiet. The lovely receptionists couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. It's about 2 mins off Hwy 29 (take Madison exit). Delicious breakfast is buffet style at individual tables, which I much prefer to being served or sitting down to a table of strangers before my tea in the morning. BTW - it's a two-block walk to Bouchon, the ultra-trendy resto which is packed all night, but it's really fun to head there after dinner for a seat at the bar and maybe a few oysters. They are open until midnight. Room tips: Rm 6- large room, double sinks, tub, private patio and you can park right in front. La Cachette- apt upstairs from the recept desk, cute as a button, smaller bathroom but still charming, little kitchenette big enough to stash wine, leftovers, etc. Rm 8, upstairs has a sitting room which is good if you need privacy. My least fav might be #7 because it fronts on the street and has the least privacy.

"The Lavender Inn"

We liked everything about the Lavender Inn. The charming rooms are attractive, comfortable and nicely-sized. Service and food were excellent. We enjoyed the choices at breakfast and the pleasing presentation of wine and snacks in the afternoon. Our room had a private patio with comfortable outdoor furniture...this was one of our favorite features. Likewise, being within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and wineries make this an ideal place to stay in Yountville. We're eager to go back.

My husband & I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary at the Lavender Inn, #5 room which came with a comfy king size bed, beautiful fireplace, & a giant jet tub in the bathroom. We also had a private patio with a jacuzzi tub. Lovely landscaped property & close enough to easily walk to town. Yountville is a pretty place & very clean like the Inn. Love the staff! The delicious breakfast buffet might be one of our favorite parts of staying with Four Sisters, as well as the snacks & drinks available to take to our room or eat in the main house with other guests. Awesome stay!

We just returned from a 4 day wine touring visit of Napa and Sonoma and used Lavender as our home base. We had friends staying at the sister resort Maisons around the corner and were able to spend time in both properties and very much preferred ours. Room was bigger, more private and food was better. (Although the upper deck patio wine happy hour at Maison was nice) The staff was great, we were in room 4 with a huge double basin bathroom, a private courtyard with a small hot tub, bikes available to tour the town, which we did several times, walking distance to everywhere. We were very happy with the experience and would definitely stay again. And the breakfasts were fantastic. Very different each day, mexican poached eggs, a mushroom-swiss quiche, flavored oatmeals, hot oven-fresh scones. Excellent.

"More than 5 stars!"

This inn is incomparable! We had a chance to stay in The Loft (Room 10) for two nights. What a fabulous spot for a memorable stay in Napa. The Loft is a real suite of rooms: a spacious bedroom with king bed, an amazing bathroom complete with fabulous jacuzzi, a wash area, a powder area/desk, and a good sized living room. Decor is well-appointed and beautiful -- much more than we expected! (It is accessible by stairs only.) The Lavender is off the less beaten path in Yountville, yet in the center of the town's wine tasting and restaurant activity. Many places are within walking distance. A perfect location for us. They provided some nice winery tasting deals at local spots. Roses are in bloom right now in the area and amazingly beautiful around the Lavender. Breakfast is also fantastic. A delicious spread of breakfast treats is available buffet style. To top it off, they host a wine and cheese tasting in many afternoons. Service with a smile is their specialty. Their staff is so large and so helpful, you would swear they are staffed for a hotel two or three times the size of this one (just 10 rooms). We picked this place sight unseen because of the positive Trip Advisor reviews and we were thrilled that all those good reviews are true. We will be back!!

"Great place to stay"
04/16/15 Peg212013 Orland Park, Illinois
I spent only only one night here but wish I could have stayed longer. The location was in the center of town and the wine in the evening added that personal touch to the stay. The staff was very helpful even prior to our stay, with answering many questions and supplying us with much needed information. The room was lovely and I would definitely stay again if I had the chance. If there were to be one down side it would be the breakfast . It was lacking in variety.

Great location. A quick walk to the restaurants and shops. Staff is great. Location in Yountville is a great base for Napa Valley stops. Four Sisters Inns are always nice and we look forward to our next visit.
