      This hotel is a 8 minute walk from the train station and a 7 minute walk from the beach. The rooms are clean. The furnishnings are of very decent quality. The wifi was available only in the lobby and bandwidth is only 100 Kb/s, but I don't think it's so important in such a location. I def recommend this hotel.

      Air conitioning was not working. TV screen was too small for size of the room.Good Wi-Fi service. Staff at desk wasa veryb attentive and helpful.

      After being in Paris for the weekend it was refreshing to be in Toulon. I chose this place because I was there for work, location was great, walking distance to plenty of restaurants & train station...the room was old but clean, beds not comfy, nice staff...wish I had more time in Toulon but I recommend this one.

    L'accueil est très bien, les chambres assez spacieuse et charmante. Le petit déj avait l'air très complet (mais on ne l'a pas pris). Bon emplacement pour visiter le centre historique d'Hyères, donc un peu bruyant et loin de la mer... Pas de clim. Pour ceux qui ont une voiture : ce n'est pas facile de se garer dans ce secteur.

    Mes invités n'ont pas pu dormir pendant leurs deux nuits à cause de personnes qui criaient dans la rue et dans l'hôtel, de bruits de vaisselle, etc. L'hôtel devrait disposer de climatisation et de double vitrage !

    3 points positifs vite oubliés par tous les points négatifs: - très bien situé dans la ville médiévale - le sourire et la gentillesse de la réceptionniste - le petit déjeuner excellent rapport qualité/consistance/prix Les points négatifs: - hygiène médiocre : salle à manger défraîchie ; dans les couloirs et escaliers tapisseries et peintures sont vétustes, […] sales ; gaines électriques apparentes à certains endroits, certaines ampoules de couloirs qui n'éclairent pas ; ma chambre était sale, murs lézardés, très très mal isolée (impossible de fermer l'oeil à cause de la TV de la chambre d'à côté = isolation placo), des trous dans le murs (traces d'anciens meubles?), peintures défraîchie ; salle de bain sale, robinetterie de la baignoire qui fuit et pleine de calcaire. - isolation de la chambre : j'ai du ouvrir la fenêtre tellement la chaleur était insupportable....au mois de mars. Pas de clim réversible, qu'est-ce que ça donnera en plein été ? -confort de la chambre : matelas de bonne qualité, mais aucun portant ni penderie pour les vêtements, chambre minuscules, la porte de la salle de bain qui grince (en pleine nuit pas top) - le service : mise à part la bonne humeur et la gentillesse de la réceptionniste, aucune explication quant au fonctionnement du téléphone, ni pour joindre la réception ; aucune indication sur la localisation de la chambre (3 étages sans ascenseur, couloirs et cage d'escalier étroits donc difficiles d'accès). - tarif : quand je vois que le tarif en haute saison est doublé pour la chambre n°17 que j'ai eue, je m'estime "chanceux" de ne pas y avoir dormi (c'est un bien grand mot) en été. Amis voyageurs, ne vous arrêtez pas tout de suite dans cet hôtel et laissez quelques mois encore de ...réflexion à la nouvelle équipe de direction (il parait que le propriétaire a changé récemment...il aurait donc ré-ouvert l'hôtel dans cet état-là !!!) pour rectifier toutes ces incommodités.     Les avantages de cet hôtel sont la qualité d'accueil du personnel qui nous ont donné pleins de conseils sur les visites à faire. Par contre il est ancien et certes avec du charme mais pas assez insonorisé en ce qui concerne les bruits venant des chambres alentours.

    L'hôtel Portalet est un charmant petit hôtel situé dans une petite rue piétonne à proximité des lieux touristiques et de terrasses ensoleillées donc pas besoin de moyens de transport pour visiter la ville, sauf si vous comptez aller à la plage. En effet il faut traverser toute la ville pour s'y rendre mais la ville a un bon réseau de bus. L'accueil […] a été parfait et le gérant de l'hôtel met à disposition des touristes des brochures (notamment les sites historiques et les horaires de bus) et vous donne des conseils de visite.     Très beau hotel bien situé dans cette belle ville de HYERES.Personnel aimable poli très accueillant,petit dejeuner très bien avec choix.Domage qu'il n'y est pas de parking.Meme sans parking je le recomande.
