The room was large, clean, and looked recently renovated. The hotel is close to Osaka Castle and a short metro ride to Namba. The staff was very nice, though they are not at the front desk 24hrs. We dropped our bags off early and returned later to check into our room. The lobby area isn't the most pleasing, but the room was much nicer than the lobby […] and perhaps the best room I stayed in while I traveled in Japan for 2 weeks. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to get the heat to work! If I would have stayed longer than one night I would have asked the staff to explain this to me. Weekly Mansion Osaka is your own home away from home. It's complete with a bed and kitchen (hot-plate) and shower. Staff is helpful and you can also buy Yukatas from them ranging from 2,000 - 2,500 yen. Location is close to convenience stores and a few supermarket. Nothing really to complain about.

Hotel was in an ideal location: close to Osaka Castle, subways and other public transpo. Took trains to Kyoto and Nara. Apartment had everything we needed (from rice cooker to electric teakettle) for simple meal prep and other comforts. Everything was very clean, desk folks very helpful and friendly. stayed here twice and will again. Booked far enough in advance you can get an amazingly cheap rate. Staff speaks enough english. Rooms have a fridge & kitchenette, laundry downstairs & bike rental available. as small as the rooms might seem, they are actually a bit bigger than most business hotels in Japan.

I was so glad to find a hotel that would accomodate a large family in Japan. Most can fit 3-4 people, and most charge per person- so we may pay for two rooms and 6 people! Nice small hotel that caters to foreigners. About a 5 min walk from Tanimachi 4-Chome Subway Station that connects to JR Rail. In a very nice and safe area with a lot of convenience stores and restaurants. Very small bathroom, but nice size room overall with a simple interior. Great place to stay. We had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and the multi-room bathroom area. Maybe not the most exciting neighborhood, but near to the castle and some good coffee shops. Difficult to find WiFi and the computers in the lobby were broken during our stay. I will definitely stay again. If taking subway, get out at Tanimachi4chome exit #3.

The hotel is located within a few minutes walk to the subway and makes it to easy to get around to other parts of Osaka. There are a few decent and reasonably priced restaurants close by. The unit is not […] as clean as others but still acceptable. There are no non-smoking rooms, however, the smoke odor is not bad. There are 3 air conditioners and they cool the unit well. There is no maid service unless you ask and pay for the service. Towels are available for free at the front desk which is staffed from 8AM-8PM. The worse part of the stay are the very hard beds and pillows. If they replace the beds and pillows, I'd have no hesitation to return. Best way from Kansai airport to hotel is to take the airport limo bus to Sheraton Miyako hotel (2700 yen rountrip per person) and take a taxi to hotel (880 yen - can seat 4 passengers). If you take the subway from the Sheraton, you will have to drag your bags up and down many sets of stairs at 230 yen per person. Read more

We stayed at Weekly Mansion Osaka @ Otemae from 20 Nov 2010-25 Nov 2010. Surprisingly spacious for Japanese standard, clean and very comfortable with full kitchen facilities, homely. Close to train station and convenient store. Good value for money. I will definitely stay here if I visit Osaka again. Highly recommended, excellent.

The whole place smelled of smoke, the 2 internet kiosks were out, there were no instructions on how to turn on the hot water - and no available staff after 10p- so no way to solve the problem. And no house-cleaning- except for an additional fee. It's worth the extra $5 to stay someplace better!
