Wonderful, room was like being home, very clean and the bathroom was roomy and updated and clean. Enjoyed my one night stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for one nights stopover"
The room was clean, however without the fan or tv on you could hear the road noise of cars. Room was spacious and bathroom spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was served in small lobby of hotel check in. Only had a couple of chairs and was not comfortable to eat there. We took our items to our room. They offered juice, coffee, danish and muffins […] along with cold cereal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location good but on main road"
Hotel was fine..owner very accommodating room clean..a bit run down but clean..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The bed and pillows were horrible. The room was not soundproof so we could hear the other guest to our side and below. No iron or ironing board. Way over priced for the value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
was ok, but food left in frig from last people who stayed there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very much a mom & pop run business... The room was clean. However lots of bugs do get into the room. Liked the microfridge available in the room. The continental breakfast was like a morning snack. The owner charged my credit card before we even checked in which I've never experienced before. Also, beware of the additional guest charge $10 pp. If its […] the last and cheapest thing available (like in our case) I'd take it. Again, Nothing Special. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
If you need a place for the night, close to your event, this is great. Location on rte 1 near everything. Good service, very clean. not much to do at the hotel itself.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
very nice place would stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed here with my husband and two kids and really enjoyed it. It is located right between Portland and old orchard beach which was exactly what we wanted! Very pleased with this hotel :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easy to find."
We had a nice quiet stay here. It was easy to find & it has a fridge in room which is always handy.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed one night only......extrememly clean and very nicely decorated room.Genuine Expedia guest review
Fortunately we called to let them know we would be arriving late (~11pm), as the office was closed when we arrived. Even though we notified them of our late arrival, it appeared that we woke up the night attendant as he was very anxious and curt with us. Our room had a horrid smell to it; we had to open all of the windows in an effort to air it out […] a little. There was a gigantic hole in the bathroom door. The breakfast was good (croissants and cuties) for a continental breakfast. The morning attendant was much more helpful and friendly than the evening guy, and pointed out some nearby attractions for us to see. I'm not sure I would stay here again. "Good Place for an overnight stay"
The room was exactly as described. Very clean and well cared for.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad! Good price!"
Room was quite clean, very close to the Maine Mall and other attractions. They have what they call "Express checkout" which is nice! Just leave the key and you're on your way, you don't even have to visit the office before you leave. Only complaint is that the checkout time is quite early (10am).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel with very large rooms!"
We really loved our stay at this hotel. The room was HUGE! We had a kind sized bed with an additional seating area on the other side of the room, and nothing was cramped. The bathroom was very large. We were staying in the off season, so it was very inexpensive, but was still very close to everything! The only things that we did not like were the free […] breakfast in the morning (We ended up leaving and going to the Tim Horton's down the road, since there were very few options and no hot water for tea. There was coffee and some muffins and packaged breakfast snacks), and there were also a couple of lamps in our room with missing light bulbs which we thought was a little odd. Other than that, we really enjoyed our experience, plan on recommending the hotel to others, and hopefully staying there again! We loved it! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"No-frills place to spend the night"
Convenient to Portland... don't be concerned about the 1 star rating. For what it is, it's fine. We passed on the "continental breakfast" (prepackaged honey buns and some muffins).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good service, clean"
Room was clean and spacious enough for 4 adults, although the beds were small doubles. Shower was warm, not hot. Convenient to highway and local attractions. "Free breakfast" was not much of a meal--doughnuts, juice and coffee. Stayed at the same motel one year ago and paid half the price per night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Have stayed at this hotel a few times during the last couple of years when antiquing in southern Maine; the service has always been good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"front desk issue"
At check in we were accused of trying to cheat the hotel out of ten dollars because we were 3. I immediately agreed to pay the extra. Then we were told that there was no cott and I said that was no problem. The owner was yelling at us. I asked him was he wasn't being nice and he flipped out and told us to leave. I think he noticed my infinite black […] credit card and changed his mind. We were on sport touring motorcycles and all over age 50. We didn't look like Harley bad boys. I am an investment broker and my 2 buddies are federal government. Everything in the area was booked so we took the abuse. I would recommend that you do not stay at this hotel and avoid the potential problem. Other guests have had similar issues with this check in that you can read if you search. "Great overnight stop"
Great for an overnight stop on a road trip, on the main highway but setback sufficiently not to be affected by noise of the busy road.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and clean hotel, will recommend it to friends"
Stayed for one night only and would have stayed maybe one more night instead of another hotel near Kittery since it's only half hour in between both hotels! Spacious non smoking room for the price!! Will recommend it to friends for sure!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean fresh rooms and a non-smoking environment!"
The stay was truly relaxing. The owners keep this property in the best of condition and personally seek to make sure you are happy and that your stay is truly relaxing. Very nice people, clean rooms that are really smoke free.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were traveling through the State and decided to stop for the night. I used Hotels.com to book a nearby hotel. We chose a King room and we were surprised at the large room we received. I was a bit disappointed that the room didn't contain a coffee maker however it did have a fridge. The hotel information said that coffee was available in another area […] of the hotel. "als kurze Durchgangsstation OK"
Wir hatten nur eine Übernachtung in diesem Motel und das reichte auch. Wir hatten einen beißenden Chemiegestank in unserem Zimmer. Ansonsten war das Bad sehr sauber. Das Frühstück kann man jetzt nicht wirklich als vollwertiges Frühstück bezeichnen aber einen Apfel, Muffin und Kaffee kann man sich mitnehmen.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Only Thing Available"

Got in a bind while traveling when a friend had to go to ER. All hotels were booked for marathon. Someone in ER recommended this place. Slept with my clothes on. Bed very uncomfortable, bathroom had wallpaper trying to cover up mold in shower area. Table and chairs in the room were just gross. Not enough parking spaces for the amount of rooms they have either.
"Room was nice and clean"
10/05/14 jrobert13 glenwood, NS.
The room was nice and clean..........felt we had disturbed the receptionist and don't bother with breakfast, or consider it when looking at the prices of the rooms. If we were stuck and this was the only room available, OK, but otherwise we wont go back.
"Cheap but rather basic"

Stayed one night here. Staff were welcoming and friendly, but accommodation, though adequate, was rather shabby, perhaps not unexpectedly given the low price. Breakfast was basic. Good position for exploring Cape Elizabeth and Portland.
"well-kept, reasonable, friendly"

I was here four nights two weekday and two on Labor Day (US) weekend. Nice place, even though on a moderately travelled portion of Rte 1. All rooms run through front to back, so at night you can leave bathroom window open on quiet side, and close the front up to effectively block the road noise, which is not heavy at night. TV audible downstairs just before bed, but not bad. No noise from neighbor (I had end room). Smoking allowed downstairs, but not upstairs, and since front was closed, not bothersome. WiFi works without fuss, bedroom and bathroom were clean and neat, and the owners, Mr. & Mrs. Meena were friendly and helpful. Only oddity was squealing water pipes for toilet and shower, but that was minor consideration. I would stay there again when visiting my son nearby. I disliked the the supersoft top layer on the mattress, but it seems to be the style for all hotels in the U.S. in the last ten years. Too hot underneath, compared to the top layer. But that's a downside of not sleeping in one's own bed anywhere, not of this motel. Thanks for the stay! Chevy Chase MD

This is a no frills motel room but is the cleanest I've seen. We stayed here for one night visiting people in the area so the location was very convenient for us. Although there is a Comfort Inn nearby this place was much cheaper. If a clean room and a comfortable bed is what is important to you then this fits the bill.

We stayed here for one night - a last minute plan. The motel was extremely clean - to the point that they place a small mat just inside the entry to minimize tracking into the room. They even provide a boot tray for sandy shoes or muddy boots! Our room had two queen beds, and lots of room. Unlike similar motels closer to the beach, this one was large, with a big bathroom, and a nice, long counter for toiletries, something that you don't often have in an inexpensive motel. The shower was in a tub/shower space, not a tiny cubicle, and there was plenty of hot water. We were provided with a nice, big bath towel, a hand towel and a washcloth for each of us, several little soaps (we only needed one), and two little shampoos (one was plenty). There was a small fridge and a microwave in the room, both spotless. Each bed had three big pillows. The beds were comfortable, on the firm side, with thin, but very soft sheets. Good lights for reading. The air conditioner was very, very quiet, unlike any other in-room air conditioner we've ever experienced- just a soft, occasional sound. We kept it at 74, so it didn't run much, and the room was comfortable. Even though it's on a busy road, the motel is set back and quiet. The owner/managers were very friendly. The man explained how to use the key, and repeatedly said that he was available in the office if we needed anything. The ice machine is in the office, with plenty of ice. One hint: call to confirm on the day of your arrival. We had identified an ETA when we made the reservation the day before, and on our day of arrival, the owner called us shortly before we were scheduled to arrive, to check if we were still coming, as they were getting calls for rooms, but had no vacancies. We were at the beach and he had to leave a message. In the future, we'll just give them a call. The location is great - close to Portland, the Maine Mall, and Old Orchard. There's a Hannaford grocery store just down the road, and plenty of places to eat. It's also easy to get on and off I-295 from the motel. This will be our preferred place to stay for Portland or Old Orchard.

Myself and 2 friends stayed here for one night during a motorcycle trip through the white mountains. The location was perfect for our planned route and we also wanted to go to Cabellas. When we arrived at check in we met by the owner. The first words he said " oh you think you can save because you are 3" I said pardon? He then accused us or trying to rip him off and it would be ten dollars - I said no problem on the ten dollars. He then started yelling that there was no cott. I said pardon - why are you not being nice? He then flipped out more and told us to leave. I believe thats when he noticed that I handed him a black infinite credit card to secure the room. I believe he pre judged us incorrectly - I am an investment broker and my 2 buddies are federal government. We are riding sport touring bikes and we dont look like bad boys. We would have left right away but we already knew everything was booked. The remainder of the stay was uneventful. The rooms are old - plenty of stairs to climb. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. IT IS NOT WORTH THE POTENTIAL TROUBLE YOU COULD ENCOUNTER
"Comfortable stay - poor breakfast"

This hotel was more like a motel as far as services offered were concerned. The rooms were very clean, spacious and had modern technology for security and comfort. The free breakfast was nothing more than danishes and muffins.
"Nice, clean, Economical option for Portland"
07/27/14 momready2go Providence, Rhode Island
We were looking for an inexpensive option while visiting Portland, where the hotels were fairly booked, and prices were in $225 – 250 range. This was a great choice! Location was very convenient to Portland, a quick drive on Rt. 295, which was just up the road. There’s several coffee places nearby. The room was neat, clean, comfortable. While there were only two of us, it would be roomy if traveling with children. The bathroom was fairly large, overlooking a back lawn. There is a cute front lawn with chairs and a picnic table. The location is on Rt #1, a main road, but it was quiet, and a safe area for a walk. Check-in was quick and easy, the desk person was friendly and very helpful with directions and questions.
