"What I expected"

Don't expect to find anything very fancy in Socorro. The hotel was nice, fairly new and clean, but still had a cheap feel to it. That was not helped by the bathroom wallpaper which looked exactly like bare particle board. When I arrived there was no soap or shampoo in the room. I asked at the front desk and they handed me a few bars of soap but had no little bottles of shampoo. I guess that "Did you forget something? We can help" sign in the bathroom was just for show.
