"Beverley Laurel GHtel Rating"
Nice hotel. Great price. Great location. Easy and reasonable parking. Needs to be a bit better maintained but current ongoing contruction may help that in the long run. Totally recommend this hotel for LA on a budget.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was near several nice restaurants and galleries. There were several bars that catered to a younger crowd within walking distance. The hotel is undergoing a renovation so there is some noise during the week. It was nice to have a coffee shop attached for a quick breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, nice place, a bit dated"
Went for a nice run from here. It's in a great location, lots to do around there. It is being updated at the moment so a little construction to walk around but not a problem.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location was great for NBC"
Swingers restaurant was the best and open long hours Felt safe Hotel helped book our bus tour.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location. Bare bones motel. Needs to be updated. Would stay again due to location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Part of the motel was being renovated,"
The hotel offers a limited number of parking spaces subject to availability on arrival and you will need to pay for it. If there are no spaces available on site, the hotel staff will advise you to park on street. If you need wi-fi will cost you too.Rooms can be a little noisy when guests walk down.Pool, microwave & fridge,tv is old.The staff was very […] helpful and friendly, thanks to Jeffrey".Beverly Laurel Hotel is a very well located, but otherwise average place to be in LA. I got a great deal in this hotel it was clean and had a cool retro feel. You could hear people walking outside but nothin too late where it was an issue . Parking was ok for a regular car an SUV may be tight. Walking distance to the grove and resturaunts. I would stay here againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great deal near everything!"
Funky shabby chic rooms. Some of the older rooms not yet renovated have beds that aren't as comfortable as the newer ones. We don't hang out in the hotel so that is fine. Walking distance to good food!Genuine Expedia guest review
"no hot water"
expensive due to location, but a very cheap feeling place. the railings are too low, kids and drunk people can fall off and get seriously hurt. no hot water in the shower. dressed like a dress on a pig. parking spaces all taken up, the poor guy who came after me was screwed out of parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location but needs attention to the basics"
As a light sleeper I was a little concerned about being given a room on the busy street side of the motel, but the way the room was configured traffic noise was not an issue so that was a pleasant surprise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Charming piece of Americana, near Hollywood"
This "motor hotel" is dropped straight out of the '50s or '60s, and its retro charm sits just outside the insanity of the Hollywood tourist district, and within easy reach of the Melrose hipster shopping area, So there's easy Hollywood access, with none of the crowds, and you're in the center of the west side and able to get to the beach, Santa Monica, […] etc. quickly. "Funky and nostalgic"
The preserved funkiness is kept up while cleanliness and service are great. It's a great location, has the greatest diner connected with it, Swingers. Long live Beverly Laurel. Never renovate!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable 60's era hotel near "The Grove""
We stayed 4 nights and and were gone from 9AM till 9PM each day. The room was always clean, bed made, and fresh towels and soap when we a arrived each evening. Street noise was only from vehicles, and was easy to sleep with. It was a bit like wind noise, somewhat soothing.Genuine Expedia guest review
The area was a bit scary. Lots of people hanging around the building. During the evening I could hear people yelling at each other. At one point I heard a staff member yelling at a client I gave you your keys your room is right here. I didn't feel safe.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Need to upgrade especially for disabled"
The hotel is close to CBS Studios that was good, but otherwise would not stay here. Booked for 2nights, but only stayed 1. No wheelchair accessible rooms or handicap rooms at all. Very out dated. The front desk was very nice, and the restaurant next door was very good. The beds are doubles need to move up to queen, and carpet needs to be replaced otherwise […] wear shoes. "Not far from Cedar Sinai Hospitak"
This is a old motel, Nicely placed on Beverly BLD. It is in need of repair, windows did not lock, (bath room). The carpet was filthy, the beds felt like springs, one bed was very bad the other not as bad. I did not find any bugs but I was frightened to look too hard. The wall plugs did not work and flimsy extension cords were used to utilize other lamps […] and plugs work. The pool was not heated. This could be a nice place for folks with family in the hospital but as it is right now sleeping on a cot at the hospital is a better choice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Don't stay here if you want to sleep"
There was constant noise, all night long. The restaurant which is attached to the hotel was open very late...we could hear the kitchen staff standing around talking at 2am. The street is very loud with cars all night long. We got no sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in bad shape.. When we complained about the bathroom we were told things are to be remodeled at some future date so no repairs will be made.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"If you like clean, stay away!"
The room was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned since it was new 60 or 70 years ago. The curtains were hanging loose from the rod, nearly in tatters. The carpet was pulling away from the seams. The floor boards were scuffed and dusty. The AC was broken, the heater covered with years of scum, and all of that was nothing compared to the bathroom. […] The tile was mildewed, the towels worn and postage-stamp-size. When I pulled the bathmat off the shower enclosure, it had a black dirt streak on it. Obviously, the enclosure had not been cleaned in some time. The shower hit me at my waist and I'm only 5'6". The bed linen looked clean. Hopefully it was. It was the only thing I dared touch in the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I stayed at the Beverly Laurel for one night. It was not worth the price. Very outdated. I was afraid to open any cabinets for fear of what might pop out. The parking garage is entirely too small. The counter in the bathroom was leaning forward so all of my things kept sliding off. The night stand was also leaning. On top of the original, price you […] have to pay an extra few dollars per night and Wi-Fi isn't free. However the location was pretty nice. Right outside of West Hollywood which was my destination. It was pet friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay with 1950s charm!"
Great neighborhood, cute hotel with lots of charm. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Swinger's next door was decent too (try the cupcakes!). My only complaint would be the parking situation; the only available self-parking spots are either in the VERY TIGHT underground garage or the covered spots behind the hotel. […] These spots fill up fast and there are not enough if the hotel reaches full capacity. When that happens, you have to pull into the hotel atrium itself and play musical chairs with other cars and the swimming pool. The hotel staff will take your keys and re-park when another spot becomes available. Keep this in mind if you're driving! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent hotel, beautiful architechture/ exterior"
excellent.but I heard that the owner wants to completely renovate the building. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE LOOK/ EXTERIOR FEATURES/ STRUCTURE/ ARCHITECTURE/ aesthetic OF THE HOTEL!! It's fine to maintain it but if you change the look i would be less likely to stay there. It is charming and beautiful as it is.Excellent diner next door. Also it is close […] to Wholefoods and farmers market and Erewhon store. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"nickle and dime you hotel"
first of all, you have to pay for parking, then pay for internet, and the day we stayed we had no hot water, and they made no effort to apologize or offer a discount for such a major inconvenience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Old, but okay"
It's a very old hotel, so don't expect too much from it. It's fine for an overnight stay, but not more. It is kept clean, but everythong js still very old. They charge extra for parking (funny, huh).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I enjoyed the hotel staff a lot. The two front desk agents were very helpful, and allowed us to do a late check-out(12pm)Genuine Expedia guest review
"Vintage hotel but comfortable and modern."
I really liked the hotel - the location is terrific and the Swingers coffee shop/diner downstairs is cool and great for breakfast. The motor lodge style overlooking the pool harkens back to my vacations in the 70's so if you are looking for ultra modern or a boutique hotel this is not for you. The rooms were nicely sized and the beds were good. My only […] problem - there were 2 - was the wall unit AC was in an odd alcove so the room could have been cooler, and the shower head was rather low. I am 5'7" and had to duck down to wash my hair. Other than that I really liked it and the on-site parking was a big plus! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very basic hotel. Surcharges for EVERYTHING."
This hotel was very close to CBS Studios, Farmer's Market and The Grove. However, it is very basic and they nickel and dimed us for everything including a daily energy charge, parking and wifi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OLD HOLLYWOOD CHARM"
Yes, this is an older hotel and yes, it could use some maintenance; however it was a great place place to stay, a very comfortable room and a very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was much larger than I expected. Great location and definitely loved the attached restaurant, Swingers (great food with lots of healthy choices). I would stay there […] again. "Room rate is to high for what you get"
appearance is clean, but after walk around in room my feet where black. However it is quiet and I like that you can not hear your neighbors in the next roomGenuine Expedia guest review
"Room needs major updating!"
I think this is the worst room I have ever stayed in! Major renovation needed! Beds were terrible and small, room looks like it was built in 1920's. The only positive things I can say is the exterior of the hotel is nice, staff is friendly and it is walking distance to food and shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for Price is Right"
Nice staff and great locations if you are going to Price is RightGenuine Expedia guest review
We had a pleasant stay at the Beverly Laurel Hotel! The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable! The hotel is dog friendly which was very important to us. There is a awesome dinner, Swingers, right near the hotel! Swingers is open from 6am to 4am!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good price for West Hollywood"
Good motel in a convenient location in West Hollywood, although as anywhere difficult to walk as everything is still so far away. But farmers market and whole foods are close enough. Motel is quite nice, quirky and retro, feels friendly and cosy. However, can be quite noisy at night, from traffic and bar right next door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
In town for a yoga training and just needed a clean, quiet, inexpensive place to stay with a fridge and a microwave and this was PERFECT!! I will stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Flying a false flag !"
Not worth half of the price! ordered non-smoking. Bed reeked of cig smoke. Car damaged squeezing through narrow, unmarked, exit. Desk clerk virtually ignored my complaint. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL ! IT IS A SLEEZY MOTOR LODGE. I RESENT BEING CHARGED SO MUCH FOR SO LITTLEGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great little hotel!"
Booked this for a last minute getaway up to Hollywood. I totally lucked out finding this hotel. Super cute decor, decent sized room & good location. The attached diner is awesome - totally recommend eating there. The hotel is about two miles away from the main hubbub of Hollywood & Vine, but it's easy enough to get up there. I would totally stay here […] again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Super diner next door!"
Bed not so good...foam topper ok...but the mattress had a definite tilt/dip. Did not appreciate having to pay more for "fees and taxes" upon arrival...$5 for parking and they wanted more for wireless. Ugh!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in LA. It was a nice hotel. Very interesting, fun layout. It was a little noisy being right on Beverly Blvd, but that didn't bother us at all. Excellent hotel for anyone going to LA on a budget. Great location if you want to explore West Hollywood.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel close to weho"
Mediocre hotel but in a good location. Nothing fancy but had microwave and a fridge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK for Price and Location"
Hotel is generally way past it's hey day and in need of some serious renovation, but not a bad deal for the price considering the location. The bedding was clean and comfortable although the "kitchette" was not very clean (crumbs on the counter) and the stairwells needed a good sweep. Staff did respond quickly when I had an issue with my shower and […] it was resolved quickly, so at least they try with the customer service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pet Friendly? BEWARE!!!"
I booked this hotel after carefully checking the discription and amenities list regarding pets. I understand what hotels have to go through to accomodate pets, so I don't have a problem paying extra. But I do want to know in advance so I can make the decision of what will work for us. There wasn't any mention of a $50.00 FEE for pets!!! In the discription, […] they said "This is a pet friendly room" - OK... Good start. Under amenities, it lists: "PETS: Pets allowed, Pet policy - dogs and cats only, Maximum number of pets per room 2, Pet maximum weight in kg is 20, Pet maximum weight in lb is 20",... Still no mention of a fee associated with the pets... so I booked the room. We get to the hotel and they tell us there is a $50.00 non refundable fee for our small dog. I was outraged... they were smirking. At this point, it's late and we have no choice as my Husband was having surgery early the next morning, so we pay. The room was DISGUSTING!!! The carpet was pulled up and the concrete floor had glue all over it. Not even tile to replace the carpet! The bed had no comforter and the blanket almost crackled with who-knows-what when I pulled it off the bed!!! EEEEWWWW and YUK!!! I was ready to leave, but hubby was tired and I didn't want to strees him out any more than he already was so we slept in our clothes under the sheet. We ended up paying more for this "Pet friendly" room than our beautiful Venitian Suite in Vegas last week!!! If you have pets - BEWARE of this hotel!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
