"Good place to sleep."
Best part of this hotel is the location and the price. You definitely get what you pay for, but I would stay there again if visiting LA/Hollywood because I am not in town to stay in my hotel room!Genuine Expedia guest review
Older property and a little quirky. Parking is difficult and tight. Room was average, unheated pool. Price was a little high but probably comparable for the location. Restaurant on site.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It wasn't what I thought, old and out of date. Needs to be updated.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, worn out rooms"
This hotel has a great location near the Grove/Farmer's Market/Melrose/Hollywood etc... The rooms are a bit old and worn looking but pretty clean. Some of the rooms have been updated so the bathrooms are nicer in those, unfortunatley I got one of the older rooms. But for the most part it was a good stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We immediately loved the room and the bathroom was awesome too, beds cushy, great decor - then we tried to sleep .... ac made noise all nite and fellow hotel patrons slammed doors til mid night - BUT most disappointing was that we asked for a quiet area of hotel since we are light sleepers and I even called them to confirm this was noted and confirmed […] we would have it as promised BUT we got put RIGHT ON THE MAIN STREET ?! Very friendly staff, good value, and a great diner next door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Well all i can say is the location was good and the diner next door was goodas well. as far as the hotel it was pretty bad.. The shower was like a power washer with a psi of 3000. the air conditioning was from 1970 and hard to reach because it was so high on the wall I had to use a chair to adjust the controls. The refrigerator froze all our drinks […] . Then we were charged $5 a night to park and the lot was so strange and small like something out of hitcock movie. $5 a day for internet and a $2a day service charge for what??? When I questioned at the front desk they could not explain what it was for. Then he said it was for taxes. Horrible . I felt like I got pick pocketed. Not an enjoyable stay. Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff. Nice check-out time (noon). Affordable. bit loud owing to busy street. Bit small parking spots.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient to the Grove and Farmers Market"
Hotel is within walking distance to some wonderful restaurant choices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Was very disappointed. Didn't like the location. Pictures on the internet are deceiving. They showed a room that was renovated. Charged you $5.00 to park, but they have 52 rooms and only parking for 25. Very noisy. Not many places near by to eat except the restaurant next door. Wireless internet did not work properly. "Pretty good on a budget"
This hotel is not high end by any means. But it's really quite good on a budget. It's centrally located in West Hollywood, has a diner connected to it, and feels safe. The rooms are showing some wear. There was a plumbing problem on my last day. They fixed it pretty quickly but it sounds like this kind of thing pops up from time to time. WiFi was extra […] but reasonably priced. So was the parking fee. And the room rate was quite good for the middle of LA. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient for my business purpose, near the meeti"
All fine for a night's sleep. Only issue is that the room lighting was a little low. The shower very large which was nice. Older property that is well maintained.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great! Would definitely stay again!"
Very clean, convenient to Hollywood/Beverly Hills, I requested a renovated room on the third floor based on other reviews and got one, found it to my liking. Would definitely stay again. Swingers was great, ate breakfast there twice and stopped by late at night. Not much in the immediate neighborhood, but The Grove was within easy walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good, reasonably priced overnight stay"
clean rooms - good location - old 60's style hotel - very clean - only complaint was no coffee available in room or lobby - pretty standard 'perk' these days - great coffee at diner next door for purchaseGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm used to more upscale hotels but this place was very clean and the people were nice. I have no complaints at all :) I would stay here again if I had the need to stay in Hollywood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Older motel but i thought is was a pretty cool place. Not the most up to date but i like the vintage feel of facility.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For a reasonable fee centrally located in West Hollywood, retro and funky - no phoney upscale frooo frooo here - safe and sufficient. The restaurant has good food, even for vegetarians, and is convenient for breakfast especially. We have stayed here many times and been satisfied. The most recent stay was disappointing because of excessive noise to the […] point where sleep was impossible until 3:00 AM, when I finally called the front desk in desperation. People can't smoke in their rooms, and were smoking and chatting along the walkways in the courtyard; the courtyard is like a tiled bowl and sound just echoes around in there. Hopefully this was because of the Oscars and won't be the new norm, because I won't be back if it is. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A bit tattered on the edges, but a good place"
Feels like a throw back to Melrose Place, but can't beat it for the price. Very comfortable and easy parking. Great coffee shop downstairs where we had daily breakfast and dinner one evening. Location is also great!Genuine Expedia guest review
This place is terrible. Shouldnt be in BH...I would have been more comfortable at a Travelodge or the like. Service and manager was offensive and rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice place to stay, but not the Ritz!"
This hotel is very quaint. It was built in 1964 and seems to have stayed there. Our room was very large with a old microwave and small refrigerator. The bed was a California King and was comfortable but needed to be replaced. The shower was nice but needed a new shower head. Unless you like getting pelted by a hard mist. "For the location and Swingers"
Great part of walkable LA. Swingers is delicious. We stayed in an amazing huge room on the corner behind the cool "Beverly Laurel" sign seen from the street. However, they need to step it up with the cleanliness. Felt a bit damp and grimy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is great. It is dated but some rooms are renovated and the location is great if you need to be by Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. The price is economical and hotel is well worth the price. Adjacent cafe is great. Parking is reasonable. Very 1960's LA feel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place, convenient, inexpensive"
We were happy to find this place on hotels.com. Stayed her only one night on our way to San Diego from LAX. It is an old hotel with lots of history. Loads of photos of famous people that stayed and partied here in the hey-day of Hollywood. Very convenient. Free parking. Room was very nice and remodeled in the theme of the good old days. A great diner […] attached to the hotel on the corner. Probably a landmark although we don't know the area. Not a 5-star hotel in any means, so if you are not into something with character and have an experience, stay somewhere else. I would recommend this place to friends and definitely stay here again. "under construction winter2013"
we had a great experience as always at the Beverly Laurel hotel. swingers has long been my favorite place to grab breakfast lunch and dinner in LA. Great little hang out. attached to the hotel and open extremely late! ***** as of January 2013, the rooms what are under renovation. The only issue we had was that construction starts at 9am sharp! We had […] a long flight the night before and did not get a chance to sleep in.***** otherwise, always a great experience Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The rate was very good given the location and overall quality of the hotel. However, during my stay there the elevator was not functioning, forcing long climbs to get to top floors. Also the room was not well insulated from noise made by other guests smoking and hanging out on the outdoor walkway outside the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not a good experience"
The rooms were loud and not very clean. The shower was missing the shower head. The mini fridge was broken. The front staff were rude and not accomodating. They nickle and dime charge you for everything - parking, "energy fees", wi-fi, etc. so the rate adds up and is not worth it.Genuine Expedia guest review
When we arrived, the man at the front desk let us know where to park, but failed to tell us that there was a charge for parking. Granted it was only $5, it still would have been nice to know that. The room was clean, large and pleasant (we stayed in a corner room). It seems like the place was surface clean, but could use a good deep clean and perhaps […] some new furniture and carpet. There was also a broken down car in the garage which was an eye-sore, and took up an extra spot (the garage was full when we returned at night, but there were other spots above ground). The blanket on the bed was quite thin, but when we called the front desk to ask for an extra blanket, they quickly brought one up. Check out time was noon, which was nice. And breakfast at the trendy diner downstairs was very good. I would not stay here again, but for a one night stay and for the location, it was fine. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fun in WEHO!!!"
I loved the retro appeal of the hotel! The only thing is that there are a few charges that I was not really anticipating upon arrival. Like the charge for parking at the hotel, WiFi, and energy cost for using the microwave and fridge that is located in the room. I mean come on, like the room charge isn't enough to cover the cost of using the fridge? […] over all the experience was great though, friendly staff and there's a cute little diner called Swingers right on the corner of the hotel's building! "The good and the bad"
This hotel is dreadfully outdated It could be so cute if the decor was updated, the rooms repainted, linens updated, and some of the bulky, old furniture removed. It has great potential. The refrigerator did not work, the top dresser drawer was broken and fell forward if pulled out, the ironing board would not stand up. The cabinet in the bathroom seems […] to be missing a sliding door and is marred and scarred. The restaurant downstairs is terrible. Parking in the alley behind the hotel is kind of scary at night. On the plus side - the location is great. It is within walking distance of the Farmers Market and the Price is Right. The office staff is great. They are very hellpful, friendly and courteous. Outside, it looks like an average motel like place with rooms surrounding a pool in the middle. The elevator was small and slow and we had to use an actual key to open the rooms. However, the room was quite nice and spacious with a flat screen TV. Upon seeing the bathroom, I knew why everything else was average b/c they spent all the money on the bathroom. If you want to be up all night, then this is the place for you. I was supposed to spend two nights & checked out after one. It was so noisy from about 3:00am to 4:30am. I was so cold because the blankets are very thin.Genuine Expedia guest review
"DID NOT LIKE THIS MOTEL........."
This motel was ok----I guess I'm not use to staying in a motel(all doors are facing a courtyard). A lot of noise compared to a hotel,(street noise, doors slamming, heavy walking above your head) you hear it ALL!! Location is great. Two blocks from the CBS studio and 9 miles from the airport. Swingers Diner @ Motel is GREAT. Motel has only 3 floors and […] I was on the first floor(I should have asked for the 3rd floor) so I asked the day after check-in to be relocated to a higher floor and was told I can do it the next day.......Next day came the clerk said Motel was full. "Needs a lot of work!"
Pictures show flat wall mount TV and Photoshopped different angle images, but the reality is a lot different. Way over priced, I was familiar with the area so was expecting a lot more. The "Swingers Cafe" down stairs does have some amazing food though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is over priced and not of the best quality. We had dirty towels and a rat hole next to the refrigerator. The rooms are a nice size, but a little ruin down. They allow pets, which was helpful, however they charge $50 a pet a day. Internet is an addition fee and you can only use one device on it. As is the parking, but be careful of you drive […] a larger vehicle. The parking garage and spaces are small. The location is ok. It's a 10 min drive to the Hollywood area and 21 mins to the beach. "Probably Not Again"
I stayed here because of the value I was quoted over a three night weekend. The hotel is in a good neighborhood with cheap parking and WiFi near West Hollywood. The downside? It's loud, as the windows look out onto the pool (think "Melrose Place"), and the room definitely needed to be remodeled. There are other hotels in the area which are competitive […] in price if you book early enough and of better quality. I probably will not stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I live in LA and put my father up in this hotel bc it was somewhat affordable and convenient and I thought it was supposed to be a very cute & retro place. The rooms only have window units - and the one in my dad's room froze up and would not work. Also - the hotel charged the credit card used to make the reservation - which to me is not the norm. Nor […] was it stated anywhere that the charge would be made prior to arrival or even checkout. When we asked to change the payment card the front desk attendant said we would have to do it at checkout and the reservation card would need to be present. On the departing day the front desk attendant spoke so little english that we could not get the cards changed. All in all this place was NOT worth the money and I would absolutely NEVER recommend it to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a bad value AND not a great place to stay."
Wi Fi wouldn't work and the desk guy couldn't fix it. Room had window A/C which was not on when we arrived. Took several hours for room to cool down. It was pretty much what i expected, which wasnt much. It was funny how you could park your cars by the pool. Our room was fine. I bet when they opened this place it was THE place to be. We had a wet bar, fridge, microwave and AC....bottle opener in the bathroom. Everything was just very outdated. Plenty of space to get ready (We had 3 girls fully getting […] ready and there was plenty of mirror and table space) It was close to the beverly center (short cab ride...dont walk) and a close cab ride to food around. Great hotel! We loved the vintage look and the great location. My only issue was the locks on the doors are a bit difficult and the remote looked like it hasn't been touched since 1995 it was so dusty.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for turists, convenient location"
I was a little hesitant because I thought: West Hollywood?!
