Loved the hotel - great architecture, beautifully laid out. However, someone seemed to forget about lighting, particularly in the bathroom where it was impossible to see. Also the glass door between the wash area and toilet was very inconvenient.

Great hotel, great staff, and great location. The hotel sits on Roman ruins and they give daily tours. The restaurant sits over the old Roman floor, which you can view through the plexiglass floor. Awesome.

Beautiful, comfy room and bed and large marble bath, extra good "spanish' buffet breakfast, easy walking distance to church/mosque and sites, a few good restaurants in the immediate area (hotel also has), 'library' with computers (was being used for a fashion shoot one day thus hard to access) and a spa. This exceptional boutique hotel was the best of the 5 premium hotels my wife and I stayed in during our recent trip to Spain. It is well located so we were able to walk, and it is important to walk to get a feel for the place, to every one of Cordoba's important sites. Our room was large and comfortable with a fine mix of the modern with the traditional. […] Dinner in the hotel dining room, with its glass floor through which you see the excavated ruins below, was more than good; it was truly memorable. The intimate pool in the courtyard was simply elegant. This is a place that we'd send our daughter on her honeymoon. Superb and classy hotel; quiet, spacious rooms (we had a "Dreamer Room"), very friendly and helpful staff, free wifi. Fine breakfast in a dramatic dining room built over ancient Roman ruins. Unusual spa with three small baths (hot, cold, medium temperature). Easy walking distance to tourist sites in old part of the city.

Everything was perfect, the room, the food and especially the spa! From arrival to departure we had a fabulous time here. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Whilst check in took place, seated in comfort and provided with a cooling drink. We were offered a tour of the hotel, which we declined but wish we had taken. Often saw new arrivees being proudly shown round the calmly sumptuous surroundings of the Ottoman […] styled interior. The gardens and pool area were a delight and offered an area of cool, quiet calm - true escape from the blistering heat which reached 42 degrees during our stay. The walled gardens and efficient air conditioned made for comfortable temperatures all round. Breakfast was buffet style but would have liked a wider range of teas and coffees - a little disappointing for many international travellers with different tastes. The staff at the hotel were multi-lingual and were very helpful with everything from a trivial request for information to more complicated needs regarding travel etc... We drove there with a hire car and had been notified that parking was available. It was off-site and cost more than €20 per day. Lovely hotel. Excellent reception on arrival - made to feel very special and welcome. High quality throughout this lovely converted Palace. We spent 2 days at the Palacio del Baillio and we had a mixed experienced. On one side, the hotel is fine: clean and spacious room, nice staff, good services. On the other side, there are some major aspects which disqualified this hotel from the 5 star range: - Outdated skin care items - No soap for washing hands in the bathroom. - Bad soundproofing […] (we heard a bit the washing machine from our room). These aspects are not acceptable for a 5* hotel. I won't say I won't recommend this hotel at all. I just want to set the right expectations which are eventually related to the available prices. As common in Hospes properties this one is a restored palatial residence, there is a transparent cover over Roman tile floors that are under the dining room. The rooms are tiny and have the normal Hospes very, very shallow basins that splash whenever used. The desk is too shallow to accept an open 13" laptop. Again as with other Hospes one must pay […] Euro 4 extra for eggs at breakfast. There is no complimentary bottled water or anything else. That seems rather cheap for what is billed and priced as a luxury hotel, but the location is unbeatable, within a five minute walk of all the major tourist sights. This hotel - a former Palace - has been beautifully and sensitively restored. There is an understated elegance about the hotel without it being stuffy and precious. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to please and really made us feel welcome. The bedroom and bathroom were very similar to staying in any 5 star hotel - comfortable, stylish, clean. […] However, one main difference was that you could actually have fresh air by opening the doulbe shutters and glass doors and stepping into a small balcony - fantastic! This was our second visit. We first stayed at the hotel n May 2009 and returned this year to visit the Feria and to meet up with Spanish friends. Everything about the hotel is first class; the stylish design, the courteous staff, the amazing tranquil garden and pool area in the centre of the hotel and the great restaurant. The only thing that had changed […] was the hotel's refusal to serve drinks/coffees in the lovely shady garden/pool area up until mid-day whilst breakfast was being served in another area. Har betalat mer än €53 för två nätters parkering förut, men känns ändå lite dyrt. Gratis Wifi ingår, vi behövde kolla email, omöjligt..fungerade endast någon sekund om man lyckades logga in. Fick konstanta svaret att om 15 minuter fungerar det. Är det problem så säg det...håll oss inte väntande i timmar med tomma löften, sista kvällen började det fungera. […] Vår lilla tv gav ifrån sig ett högt brus som ökade med volymen, så glöm tvn. Ok, vi var inte där för tv. Efter en kväll i trevliga cordoba och mycket god mat. Dags att gå och lägga sig...jättevarmt och om har stängt av ac permanent...kan ej få igång alls får vi till svar...sov uselt...alldeles för varmt.. Skulle ta en dusch, kunde inte få upp proppen, till slut när vi var trötta på att stå i det smutsiga vattnet så körde vi en tvål under proppen så lite vatten kunde rinna ut. Var ett litet designer dusch huvud, plockade ned från hållaren, då kom hela anordningen från väggen. Så där stod jag med det i handen. Kan säga på ytan ser det mycket fint ut men det usla lyser igenom vad gäller kvalitet och service. Read more

je garderai un excellent souvenir de mon court séjour dans ce lieu romantique. La suite était divine ainsi que le spa, le salon de lecture, la cour et le solarium. Je signale aussi la qualité du petit-déjeuner. Un seul défaut de taille : je suis venu en voiture car visitant plusieurs villes et lorsque j'ai voulu l'utiliser, on m'a fait attendre 30 mn […] pour la récupérer. Falls man mit dem Auto anreist, ist darauf zu achten, dass man am Ende auf der Hotelrechnung einen Betrag von 23,- Euro pro Nacht für die Parkgebühren verlangt. Petit-dejeuner pas a la hauteur d un 5 *. Chambres moyennes toujours par rapport a un 5 *. L eau des fleurs sur les tables pas changées. Fleurs dans la chambre fanées. Lavabo a l arrivée bouché.( cheveux...) Parking trop cher. Toutefois, le personnel est correct.
