It was troubled by a lot of noise in the hallway at 3 - 5 in the AM. It was awful. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast selection was not very good, we went to McDonalds for some protein.

My request for a room closest to the lobby or elevator was fulfilled. Check-In was handled efficiently and in a friendly manner (all shift staff members were helpful.) The breakfast offerings was way beyond the usual Continental type (Scrambled eggs, Hard Boiled Eggs, and sausage were add to the regular fare. The availability of the proteins were Diabetic-friendly, […] which was much appreciated.) The suite was a lot more than I needed especially for one short evening/night. We stayed there on Oct. 5th & 6th. The place was very nice, very quiet. We were put in the room next to the elevator on the 3rd floor and from a previous stay in a hotel in Detroit I knew that was a bad room to stay in. But not here! Not once did we hear that or the kids that were staying in rooms around us! The beds were great and the pillows are like […] we have at home so we both slept soundly. The pool area was nice and it was clean. The only bad thing I can think of to say is the seating where the breakfast was served was scarce. The desk people were very nice, the bathroom floor was dirty and the lights in the bathroom were extremely dim. I couldn't find a lighted area in the room to apply make- up or fix my hair.

Our second room on our way back home from our trip wasn't very clean and smelled from someone smoking. Wiped the counter off in the bathroom and microwave area and came up with a dirty wet wipe. At least that freshened upthe smell.

Hotel room and bathroom were very clean. Beds we also very comfortable. Only con I can think of is that you can hear the people next door and in the hallway pretty easily. However, hotel was quiet and did not hear any noises after 11:00 p.m.

The Bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and in the stahl itself. The tub was not clean. The room smelt like dog. The man at the front desk was uninformed and not a good communicator. The room was spacious and the location was in a safe area close to the highway but I would not recommend this hotel to travelers.

Very nice hotel for the price. Very clean and comfortable room. Free breakfast was good, waffles and scrambled eggs with sausage are good. Short drive to the center of town and beach area. Will stay here again on next trip to this area.

Hotel was within a mile or so of South Haven. Very easy to drive into town & find things. Workers at front desk were very helpful with directions & places to eat. Breakfast was good. Coffee could have been better. Beds were comfortable. No whirl pool but the regular pool water was warm.

Everything was okay. Just okay. Which is really all we wanted, a place to sleep and keep our stuff while we explored/visited Saugatuck/Douglas and the surrounding area. However, I tried to use the workout room -- which does not have a treadmill -- it was stifling. No thermostat, no ventilation. Even the water cooler dispensed lukewarm water. The desk […] person told me the only option was to crack the door. Also not too crazy about the amount of styrofoam used for the breakfast. That's typical for these types of hotel breakfasts, I know, but I hate it. That stuff won't go away for thousands of years. I can't believe it's still being manufactured. But that's just my opinion. Everything was as we expected it, the room was comfortable and clean, any time we walked through the lobby it was clean and well kept. Never got up early enough for the breakfast, but I assumed it was eggs/coffee/cereal etc.

We spent the Labor Day weekend at the South Haven Comfort Suites and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were...excellent mattress, excellent pillows, upgraded bathroom..plenty of hot water...very quiet,,,staff was very friendly and proficient...I had read the other reviews which weren't that positive, so we had low expectations....the Comfort […] Suites deserves higher ratings. My only suggestion: upgrade the breakfast,,,if you want a bowl of cereal and a banana you won't be disappointed. Holiday Inn Express has better breakfasts. Read more

The hotel was central to all downtown activities and since we were biking it was very close to the bike trail! The saff couldnt have been friendlier and the rooms were very nice. The breakfast was good and we will definitely stay here again!
