No appologies were offered to anyone at anytime. While checking in I overheard the same front desk guy hang up on a customer who wanted pick up service! it's small things like this that can set the wrong tone for one's vacatoin...I would suggest the hotel conduct a class or two in customer service....nothing fancy just commomn courtesy.... other than that it was an ok place for a 1 night stop...

For my business travel needs it suited the bill. I need internet, clean non-smoking room. I was happy that I called to let them know I wanted ground floor and they had one left so they held if for me. There is a bar up front that was hopping that night, but I chose not to join everyone, seemed fun. Parking area well lit up front, ok on sides. Older hotel but pretty clean and shades/linens seemed updated and colorful. Worked for me, best price I could find for where I needed to be! Checkout could have been faster, but I think it was just that one person not necessarily all times, I was just in a hurry.

Not a fancy hotel, in fact it's really a motel. You can only get to the second floor using stairs, which is tough with 2 weeks worth of cruise luggage for a family of 4. We could have waited 1.5 hr for a downstairs room, but were anxious to check in and quickly go to the everglades airboat ride before it got too late. They were great at arranging the trip to the airboats which included the shuttle and the boat tickets. Izzy also got us a discount for our kids on the shuttle. Izzy seems very customer-oriented in a professional but friendly way. The shuttle picked us up at the cruise port and brought us to the hotel once we called the hotel and asked for a shuttle to come. Took about 40 minutes but the driver kept in touch by cell phone. The desk staff weren't very friendly and/or very bright or efficient, but everything was fine for what we needed. The room was clean and neat. The bathroom tiles did show some age and touch of mold as other reviews mentioned, but it was consistent with Florida humidity and age of the building. The one negative - the sports bar restaurant on site is convenient and actually has a wide variety of very good food BUT it is a dark, smoky, bar setting that is uncomfortable for families with kids. It is really a dive, including young trashy waitresses. You don't want to let your 10 year old walk across the room and use the game machines alone.

I was pretty happy with my hotel stay here. I arrived at 1 am after a late flight and the desk clerk was very pleasant and checked me in and showed me how to get to the room and how to sign up for the shuttle service to my cruise ship the next morning. The room was large and nicely set up, clean and while it was obvious that it wasn't new and there were a few nicks and dings around, was in good shape. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room as well. The bed wasn't the best but it was ok. The next morning I was happy to see a very nice breakfast-pastries, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal and juice, and there were 2 ladies who would make a fresh waffle for you. The crowd awaiting shuttles was large but dwindled fast, due to the well organized shuttle service. The people running the shuttles were friendly and efficient. The shuttle took me right to the cruise ship - I only had to pass my bags to the porters there and go on in. And it only took about 5-10 minutes. Just a couple of notes - If you come in late the shuttle from the airport is not 24 hours (it ends at 10 or 12 midnight, can't remember) and the cab will cost about $20. Also there is no elevator so if you have heavy bags you might want to request a ground floor room.

The shuttle wait time may be a little longer than other hotels but we always goot picked up and dropped off. There is a sports bar in the hotel to eat. There aren't any other places to eat that are within walking distance. They will store your luggage if you come in before check in time. Shuttles are free to from the airport and cruise ships, But they will also arrange for a shuttle for other places for a price (good for big groups)

There is a sports bar that serves good food so you don't have to go out looking for a place to eat. I also liked the transportation to Port Everglades. I would concider staying there again the next time I go on a cruise. There was no elavator so if you get a room on the second floor and you are elderly it could pose a problem for you. "Fabulous" to say the least. I chose this hotel because of the cost in comparison to other hotels and we just needed somewhere to stay overnight before our cruise to the Bahamas the next morning. From the moment I entered I realized that the room experience was above 3 star status due to the furnishings and the amenities. The queen size beds were very comfortable and we had what looked like a 42" flat screen TV which I haven't seen at other hotels. My sister previously worked for the Ritz Carlton Hotel as an events manager and is known for staying at 5 star hotels only. She kept walking from the bedroom to the bathroom and kept repeating that she cannot belive that this hotel is not at least 4 stars. Although we were expecting free continental breakfast, my only recommendation would be for an option for full breakfast which I would not hesitate paying for. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This place has all the basics (on-site restaurant/sports bar, big soft bed, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee setup in the room, pool, courtyard, continental breakfast with both indoor and outdoor seating) at one of the best rates in the area. The neighborhood is semi-industrial-- the hotel's driveways literally let out onto the on-ramp for I-95 South-- but it's plenty quiet enough inside. (I went to a nearby restaurant mainly because the sports bar was pretty deafening that night, with the Super Bowl on dozens of megascreens!) Cruisers are dispatched to their respective ships at nearby Port Everglades in complimentary vans with plenty of reassuring public address announcements and well-rehearsed precision. NOTE: It was a Rodeway Inn at the time of my stay on Feb 1 '09, but is shortly to become a Quality Inn.
