"Clean and convenient"

I was not satisfied with the way pick up from 'free shuttle' was handled. There was no free shuttle available when we landed at the airport, so we had to pay for a cab. If you are planning to stay at this hotel, be aware that shuttles are used to transport people to cruise ships all morning to early afternoon. updates were very nice. We waited 1 hour to be picked up at the airport and I believe this was due to the driver stopping somewhere and having a few drinks as he smelled of alcohol on him. "Place to stay before our cruise - Fire Izzy!!"
This hotel was ok. It was a clean place to rest our heads. We ended up getting in late and had to take a taxi (20$) as the shuttle was not running any longer. Check in was rather quick. I did pay for the "deluxe" room, but saw nothing deluxe about it. They had a lot to offer for breakfast, but there were signs everywhere about tipping. If you wanted to leave early you had to pay. We walked by at 1025 and he was calling a last call for the princess ship! We asked if we could have 5 minutes or less to get out things strainght. He told us no. We got our bags and were going to take a cab when we heard him say there would be one more trip to princess. "Overall nice hotel, prepare for waits though"
The wait for the free transport from the airport was originally quoted at 45 minutes, but only ended up taking about 15 minutes. This was after I was on hold on the phone for about 15 minutes though. I recommend calling as soon as you get off the plane. We called at baggage claim and we were still on hold waiting at the hotel pick up spot. The free […] cruise transport also took a long time (for most people). Because we had a large group (7 people) we were told we could get a private van at 11:45 am and pay $2/person. We decided to do this, but when we showed up at 11:45 there were still many people waiting from the 10:00 am rush for the free shuttles and they did not have a private van ready for us. There was a large group going to our boat and we ended up just hopping on a big bus with them for free, which happened relatively quickly (for us). However, there were people in our group that said they had been waiting since 20 till 10 and that they were never called to get on a bus to our cruise ship until the bus we all got on. It seemed very chaotic and disorganized, but we did get there. One other thing to pay attention to is the time you can even check in for your cruise. Even if the people waiting since 20 till 10 had gotten on a bus they couldn't check in for our cruise till about 12 pm, so they would have been waiting at port for awhile. We booked this hotel because it was close to the airport and the cruise port. It offered complimentary shuttles to and from the airport and to and from the cruise port. They set a "suggested" charge for these services, When coming back from our cruise we had to wait two hours for them to pick us up and take us to the hotel. "If it were free it would still not be worth it."
We arrived late at night, it took 45 minutes to check us in. We were supposed to have a king size bed, instead we got two full size beds that sagged in the middle. We kept rolling together and finally had to sleep in separate beds to get any rest. The bath was not clean, it still had used wash clothes in the shower. This was a very disappointing experience. A colleague and I stayed here for one night before leaving Florida after a week long conference. It was close to the airport and seemed to have decent reviews so we took a chance. We were very shocked when we got there. There were trash bags on the walls blocking off hallways during what I can only assume was […] construction. The walk to our building was dark and not well lit at night. The room we were in had a broken marble/marble-like threshold leading to the bathroom, where a sizable chunk was missing. More than once we hurt our feet on it. The room was clean enough - saw a couple of cobwebs at the top of the window curtain. Housekeeping kept the room well stocked with soap and shampoo/conditioner. We stayed here for one night before our cruise. They picked us up from the airport within 20 minutes of being called. They have free shuttle service to and from the airport and cruiseport. You could also purchase the shuttle service after your cruise to go straight to the airport. We did this but we do not recommend. It cost $10 a person and took them […] 35 minutes to get there. The distance from the cruiseport to the airport was just a couple miles. We could still see the ship from the airport.
