"Will Not Stay Here Again"
12/02/14 B P Chicago, Illinois
We did not enjoy our stay here. The hotel is very overpriced for what you get. The linens are dirty and have holes and need to be replaced. The carpets are stained and disgusting. The bathroom was dirty. The morning breakfast is adequate, but nothing special. I was afraid for our 3 & 5 year olds to walk around the hotel room barefoot. On a plus side, the pool was spacious and provided some fun for the kids.
"Good value for money.."

We stayed here to be close to the Mammoth Cave State Park for our morning tour the next day. It is very close to the Park, only about 10 minutes away, so the location is very convenient. The hotel was nice, the room was spacious, and clean, though there was a very very slight musky smell as soon as we entered the room - it was not noticeable at all a minute later. The price of $80/night included breakfast: waffle mix to make your own waffles, which were very tasty, eggs, sausage, doughnuts, bagels, fruit, yogurt, lots of choices. The orange juice and the coffee were not good, picked one up from McDonald's on the way out. There was a note in the hotel that if there was anything that was not to our satisfaction they were ready to address the issue. That was nice to know, though there was nothing big that really needed to be fixed. It was a good stay. Good value for money too.. If we are ever back in the area, we'll be staying here again..
"Great Rooms "

Stopped here to spend the night. Easy on and off access to the interstate. Our room was HUGE. Had a hot tub in the room and just very spacious. Clerk was very friendly and recommended a great Mexican restaurant for dinner. Clean and reasonable rates especially without having a reservation. We stayed right by the pool. Quiet, which was good. I recommend definitely.
"Don't expect fair deal"

The room was clean and comfortable but just about everything else about our stay left us feeling used and abused. We'd received an e-mail from Comfort Inn for a special rate on a 3 night stay so we decided to go for my birthday for 4 days. After booking, we found out that even though we booked through them on their special, we'd not receive points for the stay; their reason, the rate was too good for points. Strike one. Then when we checked in, we were told the pool was being worked on and would be closed for our whole stay; no compensation given. Strike two. Lastly, a friend and neighbor passed away so we ended up having to leave a day early so we could make it back to his funeral. When we checked out, they charged us a $116.87 "Early departure surcharge". We questioned the charge since the special had required a 3 night stay, which we'd already had but the clerk said we owed the extra because we'd booked 4 nights. If she'd told us that before we'd check-out, we'd have just kept the room, even though it'd have been empty, and saved ourselves the ridiculous penalty. A clerk trained in customer relations, one that feels the customer should come first, would have done so. Strike three. So be warned; deals are not always as good as they seem even if they come direct from the chain.

Very quiet and clean place to stay. The entire staff were extremely nice and seemed happy to help. Our visit fell during the off season, so we were able to have the pool to ourselves for the majority of a day. It was a little odd that they stopped serving breakfast at 9 am and I don't really consider the suites real suites. When I think of a suite, I think of the bedroom being a separate room and not just a large room with a bed and a sofa. Having said that, I was very happy with my stay here and would stay again if I return to Cave City.

Stopped by for a visit to mammoth cave. The hotel is clean and conveniently located by the Park and restaurants. Good price for a nice clean room. The staff was knowledgeable about the area, polite and courteous.

My family and I have been staying at this location for several years. We visit the area for a BBQ festival but always spend a few extra days to enjoy all the outdoor activities. The location is 5 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park and all that it has to offer. Besides touring the caves, there is hiking and canoeing in the area and several great museums on local history. The Motel has several restaurants within walking distance plus it offers a great breakfast bar to start your day. The property has a great indoor pool with a very helpful staff to meet any need that you may encounter on your trip. Cave City has loads of antique and local craft stores to keep you busy on a rainy day.
"Great family trip while traveling to Mammouth Cave in the fall"

Stayed two great nights with the family. We wanted a hotel with an indoor pool for the fall, and we were very pleased. The staff was exceptional, very accommodating and efficient. There were lots of other families with children, so we felt great about our choice. Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and the pullout couch in the suite gave us the room for the kids. Would highly recommend.
"Fall Break. Just right."
Stayed for three nights with my 10 yo son. Great location for caves and attractions. Room was clean. Pool was a little cool. My son really enjoyed it, though. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.Enjoyed the stay.
"Clean, good breakfast, rooms not as shown on the internet pics"

I called ahead to book a room that I saw on their Comfort Inn & Suites website. I called and talked to the manager and said the pictures on the website show a beautiful 2 person jacuzzi and a couch in the room suite. Does it really have both of them, and she said yes. IT DOES NOT. It has a 1 person bathtub in the room and couch. That is Not what their website shows, and that is not what I was told. So be careful when you are looking for a specific type of room. The room had quite a few dead beetle bugs dead on the floor under the sink and by the tub. The pool was indoors, and pretty warm. The breakfast was really good. A lot to choose from. The girl working the breakfast helps you work the waffle machine if you don't know how. And she keeps it really clean in there.
