This hotel could use an update. Our room was clean but chairs were stained. The other party's that were with us did not get the rooms they had reserved. Instead of double beds they were given a king with fold out couch. My young Nephew complained of springs poking him. The breakfast area was nice and the food was good.

Hotel staff was helpful .In the room the seat cusions and rug were old and stained, TV had limited channels and was old. Breakfast avail but left to early. Overall OK for short stay but for price would look else where for longer stays.

Seemed clean but lots of stains on chairs and couches. several of our family members who booked rooms with two beds did not get them. They had to stay in rooms with one bed and pull out couch. One Nephew commented that he was poked with springs. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was good. Seems like this hotel just needs some updating.

Hotel OK for the money. Hotel needs to spend some money in upgrading the look of the room and linens. Towels were stained and the bed spreads were old and had burn holes in them. But considering the price and location, OK for overnight.

We checked in late at night. We were met with a very unfriendly woman at the front desk. We left early the next morning so we did not stay very long in the room. I did notice "crud" built up on the outside corners of the tub in the bathroom. The next morning on our way to the breakfast, two housekeepers were eating fast food in the chairs by the elevators […] & they complained the entire time about guests. The complaining just added to the negative air of the hotel. The ultimate in rudeness came at breakfast though. The food was good. They had biscuits & sausage gravy, cold cereals, a waffle maker, pastries & drinks. BUT, you could not get milk on the cereal because the woman who worked the breakfast was in the back room & the milk jug was empty. Also, forks & plates were empty. We waited for over 5 minutes. Another guest asked for plates. She brought them out angrily. The plates were by the empty milk jug & empty fork holder. I assumed she would see those were empty & refill each. We waited. She went back into that room & did not return. My husband politely asked for some forks after a few more minutes (our biscuits were cold by now). She grunted at him and frowned! She did not answer him. She got the forks from under the other counter area while still unspeaking & frowning. Her hostility was unbelievable! I enjoyed the hotel Complimentary breakfast was good. The only issue I had were young guests in halls at 2am unsupervised causing disturbances and waking up sleeping guests.

Pros: Location was nice. Close to alot of dining and the beach. Check in staff very professional and efficient. Cons: No option for queen size beds, doubles were too small for 4 people. the hotel was very affordable, our rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good and filling. the only down side we found was the pool was a little dirty but swimable and the night staff didnt keep common areas like the elevator and hallways clean but the morning staff took care of cleaning those areas right away.

We had a booking for 3 nights, but on the first night the power went out and the 220v side didn't come back on. They didn't know when it would be fixed, so they transferred us to the hotel next door. Since both hotels were owned by the same management group the transition was easy. They did well in taking care of us.

We have found our new favorite hotel when visiting our child at Christopher Newport University. The hotel is just off the freeway and a 10 minute drive to campus. The MOST comfortable bed and a clean room. Breakfast room was clean and well stocked and front desk staff very friendly.

Hotel was very clean, the staff was very welcoming and polite. The location of the hotel is very convenient from the interstate and within driving distance of numerous restaurants. Our only downgrade in rating was that the mattress in the room is ready for replacement. It was not very comfortable.

The tv was very fuzzy and the top 1/4 of the screen was actuallu inverted. The pool water was a bit murky. The room they gave us was by the elevator so we didn't sleep most of the night. It was a very bad experience overall and we won't be going back there again.

I ended up having to stay here for a week. We first booked for 2 nights. My initial impression was that it was a nice hotel. Loved my room, mostly due to the comfy bed. The second night the hot tub was broken which was disappointing but the I found out we had to book for another 3 nights. That night there was a group of people outside my window lighting […] firecrackers and yelling and noone went to stop them for at least 30 minutes. For the rest of the week the hottub was broken and noone who worked at the front desk seemed to know anything. One night I was told that we as the guests could turn the hottub temp up because they couldnt and the next night I was told that the employee had to do it (this was all before anyone knew it was broken). Everynight there seemed to be some kind of loud noises hindering my sleep (other guests on my floor and a group of motorcycles reving up outside my window). As the week went on I was happy with checking out. I would reccommend this hotel to someone who can't afford much but the type of guests who were staying at the same time made my trip very aggravating (loud and not respectful of other guests) and the broken hottub was also disappointing. The price was certainly right for a one night stay using Expedia! The hotel is remodeling so the rooms were much nicer than the common areas. Quiet area right off the highway, which was perfect for us. Never stayed in a Sleep Inn hotel before, but will consider again.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights, on a family weekend visit. Although the initial appearance of hotel and helpfulness of staff was positive, the room appeared dingy and unappealing due to large stains on upholstery and carpet. Biggest concern was that the tub had no slip protection and no grab bar! the woman that checked me in was wonderful but the hot tub didnt work very well at all and then there were teens in there being loud and had tables and chairs in the pool and then the complimentary breakfast was all cold very disappointed with that i wouldnt go back or recommend it to anyone

The hotel in Hampton was very nice. Front dest lady at ckin was very pleasant. I needed extra towels and she immediatly got them to me. I saw her on the elavator with the cleaning cart. She seems or should be very valuable. I could tell she has miltiple duties and still kept her smile. I would stay again. very comfy.
