Gulf Boulevard runs the length of the Beach Cities, from Clearwater Beach in the north to St. Pete Beach in the south. Along this main drag, visitors can shop, dine, and sleep at a variety of lodging options. Highlights include Pier 60, where crowds watch sunsets and street performers; and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which rehabilitates injured sea animals such as dolphins and tortoises.

The location was great. We only had to walk across the street to be on the beach. But the hotel was not great. We booked a 2 bedroom with what should have been 1 queen and 1 double. It ended up with 2 single beds in the second room. The room was so small that the closet was blocked with the beds and you could barely slide the pocket door closed. We were unable to fit our pack and play into the room without having to push one of the beds up on the other. Just as a side note, we called about a crib and you have to rent them. They are not free like most hotels offer. We also didn't have anywhere for us to eat. There was a small table that sat 2 pushed in the corner but we had 4 in our party. The windows were awful too. They spent more money putting in stainless steel appliances than they did on windows. We could hear the traffic all night. It ended around 3am and began again at 6am. It is the main street for the area so traffic was high!! We could also hear people talking on the street as they walked by the hotel oops, sorry resort. Then we were expected to launder our own towels and take out our own trash! We really don't know what we were paying so much for when these are things we have to do at home! And be sure to read the fine print. You will not only have to pay the amount listed but there is also "resort fees" so that you can wash your own towels and take out your own trash! Not really sure that I would call this a resort but rather a motel. Our toilet ran constantly and the bedroom door handle fell off everytime you pulled on it to open the door. You can also not have a trailer of any sort there. We called ahead of time to ask because we didn't see anything written on hotels.com. I was told it was okay but when we got there, it became an issue that we had to fight. They were going to make us take it to a place to pay for the trailer to sit. Found it crazy since the trailer and our vehicle were just as small as a truck. We measured it and we were 2 feet longer t

The room far surpassed my expectations. It was a 2 bed, 2 bath condo style hotel. Everything was brightly lit. This is perfect for spending a week at the beach. The beach is actually just across the street. Absolutely an amazing hotel!

It was convenient to John's Pass, but I wouldn't pay the money for the lack of amenities again. It only has a Pool and Spa and Marina located behind it. The Lobby was confusing to find at first. The room was very nice and much larger than I expected. We were there for New Year's Eve, we walked to Jon's Pass for the Casino Cruise.

We truly enjoyed our stay @Madeira Bay Resort. The place could use more creature comforts outside of the rooms. The room was nicely decorated, roomy and clean. But once outside the room there was nothing but the pool / hot tub on site.

If you want clean, this is the place!! Our main destination was Busch Gardens and other attractions in the Tampa area, so it was a little off the beaten path but I would absolutely HIGHLY recommend this hotel and I will definately stay here again!! Great staff!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

We booked a one bedroom, kitchen, one bath with sofa bed in living area -- we got a one bedroom, TWO bath with sofa bed in a separate "den". Not only that, but the balcony faced the Gulf so we had a great sunset view! Lots of "early twenties" kids were staying there, but we only saw them and did not hear them!(They all were polite) The sofa bed did need sheets but "Donny" was quick to bring them to our room. Hotel was right across the street from the beach. We got more than we expected!

This resort was excellent. Accomodations were superb. The kitchen a dream with all SS appliances. Laundry faililities in the room was not advertised but much used and appreciated! Services provided were adequate and the staff helpful. Location ideal, only 1/2 block to John's Pass historic shopping/dining area. Very scenic and convenient. The Gulf directly across the street and beach access close by. Gulf blvd trolley made getting around simple. Did not rent a car so that was a plus. Took Super Shuttle from Tampa airport-worked out very well and affordable (35 miles from the airport) was around $68 round trip for 2 people and they pick you up in plenty of time to make your return flight home. Overall a great and positive trip!

The Madeira Bay Resort gave a wonderful first impression. The room was extremely clean and had upgraded appliances and comfort with two bathrooms. The problem with the accomodations was the street noise. It is so close to the road that you can hear every car that passes. The location on a main drag means that even at 2 am there is traffic. The room has sliding doors, but I do not recommend opening because you will encounter even louder noise. Again the building is beautiful, but if you are looking for some peace and quite this is not the place.
