The Dunes - Bermuda Dunes 33.74135, -116.28529

After getting a good deal on the resort I was wondering what was up. How could a place this good be so cheap? Well it was worth it. Check-in was quick and to the point. They were very friendly and gave additional info based off my questions of the area. The complex and room are a bit older but are in great shape overall. Upon getting into my room there was a puddle of water next to the back door (due to the days heavy and windy rain). They quickly sent someone over to clean it up and left a few extra towels just in case. We never needed them. It was a very relaxing place to stay and the place was peaceful, like being home and getting to relax. A place like this is hard to find while traveling.

Amazing room, Big flatscreen tv. The kitchenette was well stocked with nice dishes, silverware, knives, etc. A very nice place. Only downfall- looks like somebody skimped on the drywall work, some rough visible seems but nothing to bad. I would be thrilled to stay there again.

Beautiful room with barbecue, table and chairs outside each room to cook or have coffee and drinks. Lovely pool and hot tub with manicured garden area. Easy access to I-10 for site seeing, shopping or casinos. Quiet and comfortable for a very reasonable price. Wish we had planned to stay longer.

WOW! What a pleasant surprise! We were traveling and dog tired. When we walked up to the door of this room we were absolutely blown away! I wish my bedroom at home was this nice! This room has a kitchenette that even includes a dishwasher! There's a dining table, flat screen TV with a comfy couch, writing desk with complimentary internet, and a King sized bed with down pillows and down comforter. It was so comfortable that I passed out the minute my head melted into the pillow. Also, each room had it's own patio with a table and private Bar-b-que grill! It is located inside the gates of a golf and country club with a security entrance. Even though it was confusing to find from the freeway, it was WELL worth the effort. We will definitely be staying there again-hopefully soon!

I booked a Jr Suite which was great. Everything was clean and fresh with very sleek decor. Grounds were nice and the semi-private patio area a wonderful added bonus.

From the outside and when first entering the room this is a very nice hotel/motel style apartment. However, this is the 3rd time I have stayed here, and all 3 times I had to wait while staff was out, to check in or to check out. I was there during "normal hours" but there is not such a thing with this resort. During the most recent stay, I smelled what seemed to be a floral pesticide in the bathroom, not until I saw small roaches in the shower 2 days in a row did I realize they have an issue. I hope they take care of this soon.

Top notch room in the Bermuda Dunes Country Club. Looks like converted apartments but much upgraded. The only downside is that the location isn't really near anything such as restaurants. Still well worth a stay.

Limited management to assist with late check-in or problems that occur after hours. My room upon first sight was great, however, as I needed to use some of the amenities they were not available. DVD player not working, mcrowave not working and no soap for the dishwasher or even to wash dishes in a sink.The beautiful BBQ on the patio didn't work either. The neighbors could be heard as though they were in the same room. It is in a great setting and is very intimate, I would stay again if everything gets fixed.

This was our third time at the Dunes, and each time has been extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Great decor, a friendly staff, and a quiet atmosphere make the Dunes a favorite. If you want a nice room with minimal tourist traffic, this is the place for you.

We stayed at the dunes for two days, at their Studio Unit. The Hotel is exceptionally nice for the price we paid. We were there during August 2009, and the weather was really hot and dry. As such there are not much amenities outside your room. But the room itself is really comfortable. The studio has a huge king size bed and a sofa bed, a nice table, microwave and a fridge. There is a grill outside. The outside patio facing the pool is really nice and a good place to hangout when the weather is nice. The place is very private and is adjacent to the The Dunes Community and golf course. In about a mile, there is a Ralphs, Albertsons and Walgreens. The intersection is Washington and 42nd avenue. However, this place is quite a ways from the Aerial Tramway.

We love The Dunes! My husband and I go to The Dunes for a peaceful quiet retreat. The rooms are beautiful and the pool area is always peaceful and quiet. A great place to refresh and recharge!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Our trip was perfect. The room was great, the pool was great, and the staff was unbelievable. We even ended up staying for two extra nights. I will definitely be going back there! Thanks for a great little getaway, The Dunes!

I have been staying at a relatives house for years in Bermuda Dunes. This experience showed me that The Dunes is stepping up and getting with the times. The rooms decor and feel was just what I look for in a hotel. Nice, clean and modern. I only hoped there would have been a bar tender at the pool!

Excellent value... rooms were large, clean and modern; outdoor BBQ was a nice touch.

I would bring my wife and couple grand children here for a 4-5 day week. Or invite client couples to this venue. It is top rate and expresses the beauty of Palm Springs!

As most of the other reviews say, this is a real find. We went in May and it was soooo quiet. It was like we had the place to ourselves. A few people would come off the golf course in the late afternoon, but other than that my wife and I had the pool and the grounds to ourselves. I can't recommend it enough.

If you book this hotel you will sample a little of "old Palm Springs" comfort and ambience.............relaxed atmosphere with well kept grounds. In the process of converting to a time share so don't miss the chance to enjoy.

It was a great experience. The hotel was great and the rates were affordable. We would totally recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here for a lazy get-away - just the wife and I. After reading all the reviews, we had high expectations. We were excited about the rooms, the outside grills, etc. We were not let down at all! The pics of this place do not do it justice! This is a beautiful, quiet place with a truly wonderful staff. They are changing over to private residence very soon - so - stay there while you can!

I needed a room quick for a work trip and my usual locations were quite expensive due to an event taking place in the Desert. I was very pleasantly surprised with the price and ammenities. I will definately stay there again.

From the time we checked in at the front desk until we checked out 9 days later this was a fabulous experience. It was small, quiet, relaxing and had exactly what we look for in a vacation. The pool and hot tub were excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful (especially the maint. and cleaning people) and it was just the right size. Relatively small for a resort complex but maticulously maintained. The room was perfect in every way for our needs. I plan to go back if we can ever get that kind of deal on the Dunes again.

When I arrived and saw the outside, I thought I had chosen a dump. Oh, was I wrong it was beautiful once we entered the room. The staff was great. I plan to go back again.

FANTASTIC LITTLE OASIS IN THE DESERT - ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME IN YOUR OWN LITTLE HOTEL ROOM! (THE STUDIO ROOM HAD A KING BED, SOFA, DINING TABLE AND A KITCHEN AREA WITH MICROWAVE, DISHES, REFRIGERATOR, TOASTER AND EVEN A DISWASHER!) ESPECIALLY LOVED OUR OWN INDIVIDAUL PATIO AND BARBEQUE. THE POOL, JACUZZI AND FIREPIT AREAS WERE BEAUTIFUL! A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE DESERT!

A bit difficult to find (didn't show up on my gps), but once you find it, it's a great place! Very quiet, beautiful surroundings, in a gated community. Unfortunately, they will be converting to a time-share in the near future, so we will lose this jewel! Clean and spacious rooms, friendly front desk people. Would definitely recommend!

The Dunes exceeded our expectations. We also lucked out and arrived on the evening Frank Sinatra was singing by the pool and free apps aand drinks were served. Very comfortable room. We will definitely return.

For the price, we expected to be somewhat disappointed in the hotel, grounds and service. What we discovered, instead, was a very nicely kept, clean and comfortable hotel, with great accommodations. The beds were very comfortable too, which often isn't the case. A great get away at an affordable price. We'll be back!

After reading the other reviews we decided to try this hotel and were more than pleased! It is a true gem and a bargain! The room's decor was updated, clean and had plenty of usable space for relaxing, snacking or working on our computer at the desk. Our very favorite part was the pool area, which is charming, quiet and was never crowded. Even though we didn't use it, we loved the fact that there were stainless steel commercial BBQ grills on each of the patios outside the rooms. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and would definitely stay there again.

I must say my boyfriend and I were very pleased with this hotel. We chose it based on price, and figured it will give us a place to sleep and thats all we really need it for. When we got there we felt a little out of place because it seemed the people were generally older (we are 23) and felt a little out of place, but none the less the front desk girls were very sweet and the people seemed nice. The location is a little bit of a drive from most places, but not that bad. Still worth it. When we got to the room, we were surprised at how nice it was! Very clean room, nice and modern. There was a very nice microwave, dishwasher, mini fridge. Beautiful bathroom. But the best part was the patio with the BBQ! We enjoyed that probably the most. My only downfalls to the room is no windows and thin walls. Between the rooms there are the shared doors for when you know your neighbor, but I could hear our neighbors talking. Not loud talking, normal. But for the most part it was quiet and peaceful, no kids. Lastly, the patio wasn't exactly private. Ours was right by the gate so EVERYONE walked by us. Perfect if you are staying with a group. But hey, the price was just right so it was still worth it. The pool was heated and the perfect temperature, even at night. The times were from 8 to 8 which I thought was a little disappointing, I was hoping it would be later. But we were out there until later and no one said anything. But we were being quiet. Even some of the other people staying there that we were talking to while relaxing in the jacuzzi agreed, this place exceeded our expectations. So much that we decided to stay another night.

The staf was friendly and helpful upon check-in and we were surprised as the evening we arrived they had free drinks and appetizers as well as Frank Sinatra singing at the pool. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay!

The not so good news: The first room that we were put in had a number of little maintenance issues- including dishwasher not working, outlets broken (so neither bedside light turned on until we found other outlets). It also seems that the walls are very thin and unfortunately we had a neighbor who played music until 3am. I'm not even sure it was that loud, but the sound was right next to the wall with our bed on the other side so I could feel the bass all night long. The front desk is only open until 8pm so there wasn't much we could do about it. The good news: The manager at the front desk upgraded us to a better room for the following night and it was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are nice in general- very modern, sleek, etc. Service is very friendly and great. So not sure if we just got a bad room or if what...would be open to trying them again as location and resort are great!

great stay! even with all the reviews i was expecting to be unimpressed, but i wasnt. its a 30min drive from the fun stuff but still worth it!

We went to Cabazon outlet which is between the Dunes and home and had a fun shopping day. We cooked all our food in the room to save $ for shopping. We went to The Living Desert Zoo which is only 20 minutes away from the Dunes. The Zoo is awesome. It only costs $12.50/per adult. The nearby zoo had aviarys (walk in bird cages), a baby giraffe, and many other animals. We are going to return to the Dunes again as it is a perfect place to rest and enjoy a break from work.

We were disappointed to hear upon checking in that this resort will be changing to an ownership setup in the future. We have always enjoyed the privacy, quiet and service we have received at the Dunes. We did notice that the condition of the room was not as detail oriented as in the past, I presume because of the pending changes. We would continue to visit the Dunes if it were still possible in the future. An outstanding value if you want a quiet, secure place to stay and don't need a lot of amenities.

i highly recommened.. this is not hotel but unique..and better than anothers. anyway..just stay...and feel it~!!

To be honest with you, because of the low price of the rooms i really didn't expect much. I just really wanted a place to stay. However when i got in the room, i was blown away. Out of all the hotels i've stayed at in this area, this would most definitely be the best. The quality of the place far exceeds the quality it should be for it's price. Service is great and I will definitely be coming back.
