Extremely friendly and accomodating staff that spoke good English. This is more of an apartment than a hotel room, including a full kitchen, dining room, washer and dryer making it great for a long (or short) business trip. The hotel is in more of a business district, but all of the restaurants provide room service with a great selection.

I loved this hotel. It was really more of an apartment than a hotel room, which was wonderful after over two weeks on the road. Beautiful suites with all the amenities. We loved having a washer/dryer. Close to sky train and easy access to historic sites. (Taxis are very inexpensive also.) Fitness area is the nicest I've ever seen in a hotel!

Overall a good stay, the staff were quite responsive and helpful. the 2 bedroom suite was quite spacious and well kept. We felt it was value for money, I would recommend this for a family who plan a long stay.

This was a great place to stay with a famiy due to the size of the apartment. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and had rollaway bed brought in for our 3rd child. One of the few hotels in Asia that we've found that allow 5 people in the room! Big bonus to have a full-size washer and dryer. The full-size kitchen was amply stocked with all the necessities for […] making our own meals. And clean! My only issue with the hotel was that while housekeeping made beds and vacuumed, they did not wipe anything down. They should have wiped down table as well as bath and kitchen counters. Also should have brought in a 5th towel knowing we paid for the extra person in the room. Great breakfast buffet included when I booked on Expedia. Checking in was smooth and easy with the front desk staff polite and knowlegable. Porter service great. The one bedroom executive accommmodation was all that I expected. except TV reception was poor. Maid service was excellent. The pool area was very good but the covers of the sun loungers could do with a clean. The menu is also very dated and needs a revamp and updating as does the restaurant itself. However, I, as I expect most people do, ate out mostly. we had a small apartment with 2 bedrooms for the whole family, very well equipped with good kitchen, with wash-dry machines, 2 bathrooms, living room and dining room. Little outside town centre but still close enough, good connection to river and public transportation.

The hotel was very convienient to the sky train, having a delux room was great when we spent 4 nights there. The Irish coffee is a work of art at the Violet bar, highly recommend having one. The supermarket downstairs was well utilised & normal shop prices.

Excellent hotel and rooms huge with separate living and sleeping area. Ours also had big kitchen and washer/dryer. I stayed twice at the Ascott. The first stay we got an excellent apartment (2bedroom) with a huge balcony. The cleanliness and service could not be faulted. The room service was also excellent. Have stayed in this hotel 2 times before. We stayed at 2 bedroom unit and was ideal for longer stay with teenagers. Only issue with location is the problem of taxi's finding entrance ocassionaly and the inability to turn right when exiting and being forced into the Bangkok traffic jam occassionally. so plan for some extra time to get where you are going.Good […] experience. We were delighted with the hotel and the location. We had originally booked a premier studio apartment; however prior to our departure we upgraded to a one bedroom apartment. On arrival we were advised that the hotel had not been advised of the upgrade. Fortunately I had taken a printout of the receipt from Expedia for the upgrade. The hotel graciously […] upgraded us to an executive one bedroom apartment since they did not have a one bedroom apartment available for our stay. The executive one bedroom apartment was enormous. The staff were very polite and accommodating and the concierge was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Our other travelling party were very happy with the premier studio apartment with the only complaint being the age of the old television in the room. The hotel is extremely clean. The buffet breakfast was very good with an extensive variety of foods. The location of the hotel was excellent with the skyrail being a stone's throw away. All-in-all I would recommend this hotel and would rate it out of ten 8.5. Read more

This hotel had very nice facilities, friendly staff and a good location. It was a very nice place to stay with a family, the kids enjoyed the pool and the waffles at breakfast. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We stayed for three days and were able to fit in a lot because the hotel is close to the sky train and the main attractions.

I wanted to make sure to have a nice hotel to check into for my first few nights with my bf and friend so we weren't scrambling for accommodation at the airport. We were so impressed! Our rooms both times were huge like an apartment with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, safe, big closets, rain shower, full bathtub, free WiFi, free awesome tasting buffet […] breakfast (nothing else tasted as good anywhere else). My favourite part of Ascott is the gym/pool - It's absolutely amazing! It's hidden on a floor that looks like It's only rooms. They have all the amenities you could imagine: three sizes of towel, nice wooden lockers with plenty of space, stations with sinks, combs, brushes, q tips, cottons, blow dryers, face wash, tissues, shower stations with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, sauna, steam room, whirlpool. The gym has every machine imaginable and a juice bar, yoga room, aerobics room. They have seriously thought of everything and It's top notch quality. I got a cake and teddy bear sent to my room because it was my birthday and their toiletries are L'Occitane I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Read more

I booked 5 nights, made request of high floor. Upon checkin, I was told that no room was available except a room on the lowest floor. I felt shocked to find that just outside the room on the 3rd floor as a corridor that people can say "hi" to you right outside your room. No privacy at all. The hotel is getting old, and dark at most common area. Carpet is terribly dirty. Location wise, it is surrounded by office building no restaurant or shops nearby. The apartment hotel is very spacious, nicely furnished, and an absolute 5 star rating. The only negative for me is location. It is located at a business district with not much but offices nearby, so not very convenient for a tourist like me. However, it is close to a skytrain station, so that is nice.
