We showed up and valeted the car with no issues. During check-in they realized they messed up my res and had assigned me a smoking room. They fixed the mistake and gave us a good bottle of red wine in compensation. The standard king room was great: very spacious, clean, and stylish. Great ipod sound dock and free drinks/snacks. The Andaz provided us with every convenience and amenity we could have asked for. It's perfectly located in the heart of the Gas Lamp Quarter. The hotel was very nice, the staff was very friendly and courteous. The only negative is the noise level on Friday and Saturday night. Whooping and hollering all down our hallway till 2-3 in the morning. It has a night club on the roof top so I guess the noise is to be expected but it was a little excessive. Great place Monday to Thursday.

Great hotel in the heart of Downtown SD. Very modern and classy. Partied at Ivy on the rooftop at night and then laid out and grabbed lunch by the rooftop pool to recover. Staff was great and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will probably be back myself

Amazing hotel with an amazing rooftop and pool and.incredibly nice staffing. I stayed there for a quick vacation and I had the best time. This hotel is definitely for the younger crowd. The rooms are fantastic and ideal for couples. The only downside is that the Hotel is located in the Gaslamp District. Check in was great! Room was great but smelled like a bottle of heavy men's cologne was spilled in it. Room service was out of almost every dessert, on a Thursday. Even though their car was there. And their car didn't offer service to the airport, 5 miles away.
