As a regular business travel, staying at 5 star hotels across europe, this hotel did not come up to scratch - would say it felt more like three and a half stars!

Great location! Free parking right outside the hotel. Free breakfast was nice also. Usually 5 stars don't come with breakfast. Room and bed was very nice as well.

My first experience with this hotel came at the front desk. This is supposed to be a highly rated, international hotel located within a posh neighborhood a mere stones throw away from Red Square – as such, one would expect a minimum level of proficiency in the English Language. Regrettably, this was not the case. My check-in took absurdly long, the ladies at reception became frustrated that I did not speak Russian well, and I could not for the life of me impress upon them that I needed Internet access. My room did not access to a minibar (this is a problem because I could not access any bottled water), and the television was pay to watch – meaning you had to watch movies at an exorbitant, rate or no Tele at all. I never got Internet access, and a meal was nearly as costly as the room rate. Moscow was magnificent, expensive (even for this world traveler), and most importantly, the star rating (especially in Moscow) is like almost everything else in Moscow, over rated!

Overall the hotel is very nice and kind of fancy. I normal stay at marriots and felt this hotel just the same but less expensive. The gym was not very impressive. One bike and 2 treadmills and few weights. Gym hours are not great, 7am-10pm What really impressed me was the small price for incidentals.. Like room serivce and movies. I always have a big check price because of these. After a week of movies everynight, room service once to twice a day, a incredible massage and taxi service. My extra was 300 dollars and i expected it to be closer to 1,500. Great FREE breakfast came with hotel except I did not know it was free. The red square is 5 minute walk from hotel. The location is great. The staff is very nice and professional.

Outstanding location, staff is verry frendly and helpfull. Restaurant and bar little over priced, but overall great hotel.

This is not a five or even four star hotel... There is no bathtub and a tiny shower... I've never seen a smaller tv in a hotel room... All in all, this hotel was not up to standard...

Great complimentary breakfast

First night: Disinterested staff at check in (not the warm welcome you get at other hotels). Put us in a room where air con was broken, toilet/bathroom had dry remnants of vomit, safe was broken and noise excessive. Complained and then moved to another room which was satisfactory - but no apology for the inconvenience or offer of assistance to move rooms. Food at breakfast - very poor quality but reasonable selection. Location however was excellent. I think definately not a five star - closer to a high 3 or low 4*

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days (7/10/09-7/15/09). Terrific location. Outstanding breakfast. Very clean. Room was a good size and well appointed (pillow menu!). Outstanding services from concierge – thank you Masha, Sveta and Dima! They went above and beyond to satisfy every need. Definitely will stay again!

The location of this hotel for tourists cannot be faulted. Close to Red Square , Metro close by, it is all there. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fine , the taxi service for airport transfers was something I am glad we used as the rest of the taxi's were a rip off, BEWARE. The only disappointment was the excessive charge for internet £15 approx for 24 hrs, £7 for 1 hr try to make other arrangements.

Friendly staff who are trying to help within their English language ability. Acceptably good breakfasts, but paid internet service is of poor quality. Pretty quiet neighborhood from which you can walk to all major tourist attractions. Avoid evil russian taxi drivers at all cost. Get staff to book you a car to the airports and insist on a clean one. May have to negotiate fee a bit with staff. Need to bring lots and lots of cash as all restaurants nearby are very very expensive. There is however convenience store a block away where you can get some water and basic supplies. Having visited another 4 star hotel in St. Petersburg and be abused by it big time, we were glad to be back to this one and would recommend it highly.

A very clean hotel room and comfortable bed. The concierge on staff was very helpful. Only disappointing experience was not being able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast because the service started at 0730 and we had to check out earlier than that each morning.

The hotel was remarkable. The staff for the most part spoke enough English to be helpful, they were certainly friendly and gracious. The room was very comfortable: good sheets, towels, bathrobe etc. Only a shower stall, but good water pressure. The only thing I was not pleased with was the odd internet connection options; strange allotments of time available, and inconvenient cards needed to connect.

It was a very pleasant stay. Hotel stuff is friendly and helpful, rooms are large and clean, breakfast was excellent. And one of the strongest points is hotel's location. It is in the heart of Moscow, several metro stations are within walking distance (the nearest ones are Okhotny Ryad and Lubyanka). And you can simply walk to the Kremlin or Tverskaya street. One thing that I wish the hotel had is free internet. They had both WiFi and LAN internet options, but you have to pay for them, and then it's cheaper to find an Internet cafe nearby. Anyway, this is an excellent hotel and I would definitely like to come back and stay there again.

OK hotel at a very nice location. Short walk to Red Square, Tverskaya Street etc. OK breakfast.

Uitstekend hotel met goed ontbijtbuffet. Zeer centraal gelegen, correct personeel en moderne kamers. Acceptabele prijzen buiten het seizoen.

We got a room for 2 people with dual beds at a very good price from hotels.com. Even so I'd never experienced the actual hotel to live up to the otherwise so hyped pictures they display, but this one did. The rooms are spacious, clean and neatly designed. Best of all in the room were the beds and pillows, great comfort. The bathroom was clean and offered a huge bath tub with showering capabilities. The water always had high pressure and no flux in temperature. The complimentary pool and sauna in the basement held a high standard although some showers had a smell of water damage in the walls. The lobby staff were friendly and helpful in contrast to the guards and waiters who were everything else but, although this is probably because of Russian culture. Overall, couldn't have asked for more.

Nous avons séjourné 5 jours au Pierre 1er, plein centre de Moscou, à quelques minutes à pied de la place Rouge. L'hôtel est très bien tenu, le lobby et les salons sont un peu minces, la salle à manger parfaite; cuisine et petits déjeuners très bien. Excellentes chambres, grandes, très confortables et propres. Nous n'avons pas profité du spa. Au total, un excellent hôtel avec un rapport qualité-prix (discounts) imbattable.

Hotellet är beläget perfekt precis bredvid Kreml och Röda Torget och på en fascionabel gata. Det är ett lägre kategorins 5-stjärningt hotel, dvs de ligger bland de bästa 4:orna eller de sämsta 5-orna i min mening, inte dock sagt att de är annat än bra, men de är inga Ritz-Carlton eller Grand Hotel. Saknar "complimentary water" på rummen vilket är ett tillkortakommande men i övrigt är fasciliteterna goda och prismässigt är de överlägset värda ett besök.

Super Lage, schön renoviert, sehr sauber, gutes Frühstücksbuffet (frisches Obst, sogar relativ gute Brötchen auf Nachfrage), sehr kleiner, aber sauberer Pool! Leider etwas unfreundliches Personal und sehr hellhörige Zimmer!

Hotellet er meget centralt beliggende i centrum af Moskva. Standard og service lever fuldt op til et femstjernet hotel, og prisen i forhold til andre hoteller i Moskva er rimelig.

Perfect clean, good located, 10 minutes to walk to next Metro. Avoid taxi access in peak hours - no chance come through fully jammed traffic. Internet access in the room by cable much better to connect rather than wifi, wifi very expensive. Ham-and-eggs for some reason not possible for breakfast but all other meals are fine.

Dit hotel ligt op 10 minuten lopen van het Kremlin en het Rode Plein. Het is een 5 sterren hotel en voldoet dus aan alle standaarden. Normaal gesproken zou ik een dergelijk hotel te duur vinden, maar ditmaal was er een voordelige weekendaanbieding, waardoor we er dus wel belandden. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

Alles war sehr gut ausser der Service an der Reception !! Ich wurde leider angelogen und das hat den Aufenthalt ein wenig getrübt.

Bonnes préstations, trés bon petit déjeuner, trés bien situé pour visiter le centre de moscou. Une piscine a ne pas manquer... Dés votre arriver reserver une place au Bolchoï 5mn à pied... Pour quelques euros de plus que les "hotels usines" Nous avons été enchanter, je recommande vivement.

Obwohl das Hotel sich selbst als 5* -Hotel bezeichnet, würde ich sagen, es ist ausgestattet wie ein gutes 4-Sterne-Hotel. Zimmer sind komfortabel und sehr sauber und so schön wie auf den Bildern dargestellt, der Wellness-Bereich nicht ganz so schön wie auf den Bildern. Dafür gibt es ein wirklich sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, sogar Lachs und Kaviar waren mit dabei. Und last but not least: Die Lage von Peter I ist für diesen Preis ein Hammer! Absolut weiterzuempfehlen!!

I can recommend this hotel to any business man. They have all the accomodations, although the restaurant is relatively expensive, but then again the food is surprisingly good.

Excellent location, friendly staff

Gut gelegen an öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln, mitten im Zentrum Moskaus ist dieses sehr gute Hotel ein guter Ausgangspunkt für alle möglichen Gelegenheiten. Kultur, Shopping, Politik, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Nightlife - alles in Minuten erreichbar. Wieder gern!
